Eduloan Student loans

Terrible customer service! All they want is your money. Is the 100% money back gaurentee is a lie! I paid them $230 and deicided I did not want to go through with them and stuck with navient. They claimed to save me money. But how? If i'm paying them $230 monthly and with navient i'm paying $60 a month? They claim in saving money because I have a $0 monthly payment towards my student loans. Bunch of scam artists!

Eduloan Incorrect Refund based on their advices

Good day,

Can I please get assistance regarding the issue below that i have with Eduloan.

I took a loan with Eduloan in 2014. My account was fully paid in June when I Deposited the R640.00 Settlement amount, which the amount i received when i inquired about the remaining amount that i owed them because I wanted to close my account. I spoke to an Eduloan Agent who advised me that my settlement amount was R634.26 and since they have debited my R1144.32 i can reverse it from my bank and transfer what i owe then as if they give back the balance it will take longer. I took the agent's advise and reversed from the bank and I indeed went and made a direct deposit of R640.00. I called to make sure that the money reflects on their side and requested that my account can closed and the debit orders to be cancelled on their side.

To my shocking surprise on the 28th of July and amount of R1144.32 was debited from account and it was EDULOAN that debited. then i called them to inquire about this debit order. I then spoke to a lady called Gloria whom confirmed that my account is fully paid and is closed. i then i asked her then why is this debit order going off as I have requested that my account can be closed and debit order to be cancelled, she didn't have answers for me i then asked her to transfer my call to someone who can be able to give me answers which she wasn't even willing to transfer me to anyone I then insisted that she transfer me to her superior, then Gloria transferred me to Nompumelelo.

I then spoke to Nompumelelo whom i took her through my story and she indeed checked my records and she confirmed that my account is fully paid and closed and she did not know why there was a debit the went off. i then asked her a way forward and she did not have details as to why it was debited and if they will cancel the debit and sort out my problem. Nompumelelo apologized for inconvenience and promised to call me on Friday morning as she has escalated my query to the people dealing with accounts.

On friday morning after noticing that i havent received any call from Nompumelelo i took the initiative to call her to just ask for an update as this is the serious matter to me. I couldnt get hold of Nompumelelo but I spoke to a lady called Iris whom said Nompumelelo was unavailable but will ask her to call me back, within minutes Nompumelelo called me and to my surprise a tune to her song changed. It was no longer her saying my account is fully paid and closed but she was now saying i still owe Eduloan hence the 1144.32 was debited and I asked her why as i have been keeping track of my account and that i paid my settlement amount, she said because there was a refund that was sent to me. Nompumelelo could give me answers as to which refunds and why is it that i was refunded while I owe them and have paid them.

I then asked to speak to Nompumelelo superiors or someone who can give me explanation on this refunds and debit that i have no clue about. Nompumelelo then mention that she will transfer me to Dyleen which was then busy with the Payroll people as per what Nompumelelo said to me, but she said she will ask her to call me and then was 10am. At around 3pm I then called Nompumelelo to ask id Dyleen is still busy with Payroll people but she said Dyleen is unavailable as she is not at her desk but she will ask her to call me. Friday passed without a call from Dyleen and thought maybe she will call me on weekend as they sometimes called me on a sunday to ask me about my settlement, weekend passed with no call.

Monday morning August the 1st i called EDULOAN and asked to speak to Nompumelelo and a lady called Oarabetswe/ Kearabilwe informed me that Nompumelelo is not at work and i asked to speak to Dyleen and the agent took my numbers and said she will ask Dyleen to call me back. Indeed Dyleen called me and i gave her a background of my issue and she said she will call me back after she had investigated and fowarded my details to the Refund department. She called me back after few minutes and she was telling me that inded i owe EDULOAN because they have refunded me some money, i then asked her why were they refundng me, and which refund and i asked her who asked for the refund as i havent asked Eduloan to refund me any money, she then said " It is not the fact of who asked for the refund, what matters is it was refunded to you and u have to pay it back" then she i asked her but who asked for that refund hence i cannot fight to fully pay you guys to aske for a refund at the end. Dyleen then said she want to explain to me why I owe them i then asked her but who asked for the refund she then said "Miss Phetla i cannot stay ont he phone the whole day with just one query" which i found that rude and i told her that this matter is as important to me and that i am also their client and i need the matter sorted out. She then said if i do not stop interupting her while she speaks she will hang up the phone which still i find that very rude and i told her she was more than welcome to hang up and i did her the favour and hanged up before she can go through all the trouble of hanging up on me.

My problem is I never initiated any refunds from Eduloan and to my knowledge I have fully paid this account. I think Eduloan just want to make extra monry for themselves by making people to keep paying them even after they have fully paid them. Now since i will not be able to pay them anytime soon i know they will add interests in my account until it gets to R5000 and or if i am unable to pay them they might list me as a Bad payer as Nompulelo has said.

On tuesday 02/08/2016 I spoke to Welma whom is Dyleen's manager whom said to me that she will call me back and to date 04/08/2016 she has not called me. I therefore called them and it took me over 30minutes to get hold of Tebogo whom took the initiative to get hold of Welma whom said will call me back.

At 12:02 date 04/08/2016 I received call from Mrs Welma Fouruie and she also does not have answers and she tells me that "It is not the matter of who initiated the refund and the who gave me the advise to reverse the debit order as the fact remains that I owe them" when i asked her to many questions she said she will hang up as she have to attend to other matters. To me that sounded more like my matter is not as important and indeed she hanged up on me.
