Econo Lodge, North Charleston SC review: Inadequate standards not acceptable

We walked in, no reservation and we paid $75 for the room and a $25 deposit. Went to the room and 5 roaches were on the top corner of the bed, 2 in the sink. Went back to the office and requested a new room or my money back and the young lady gave us the key to another room. Walked into this one to find a lot of mold in the shower on the ceiling, walls in the caulking. The rub had apparently been painted but not done correctly as was all peeling off in large portions. The toilet made odd noise s all night. The lavatory sink was hanging on or falling off more like it. It's faucet not tightened down atoll. The safe was ripped almost completely off the wall. The tv didn't reach the hook up so the line was just ripped out the wall some to connect. Smoke detector was missing completely. But the icing on the cake was while unloading our car the local drug dealer came to our truck and asked what we needed. We declined his help and he made us the bad guys and wanted our room number so he could come over later and just hang out he said as he winked at me. Of coarse we didn't give it to him so he walked across the street and as we entered our room I noticed him watching us. Oh and the fridge didn't work. As we moved as much stuff in front of the door as we could scared as heck of him coming back. Breakfast was a joke.. They made sausage and gravy in the morning but no biscuits the man up front told me to use some bread or something they didn't have any biscuits to make. I want my money back. Close this place down. And I have pics of all these issues.
