I had a preliminary Estimate Dated 7/8/21 for $13,211.40. On the same day I paid $3,000 with Visa card-0737, signed a sales receipt that day to start job. On 1/3/22 I made another payment $3,000, with Master Card 7957. Sept. 30,2022, Kyle the owner called, for me to come down to pickup the truck because they didn't have any room at his shop. When I got their I went intohis office, he had a new price for $15,929.79. The date on the receipt was 6/9/21, with my my signature on the bottom of the receipt. I did not sign any receipt on that day. He used the receipt I signed on 7/8/21 and modifed the receipt with the new price. He asked for a payment, paid $7,000 with VISA 0737. When I got to the truck, found out that he did not paint my hard cover for my truck bed, did not install alarm, did not tint the windows, also install my rear view mirror and other things on my preliminary estimate. He had my truck for almost 14 months, When I got home and thought about my situtation I call the credit card company and cancels my card. On Oct. 3. 2022, I went to Legal Aid in Las Vegas. He told me to file complaint with las Vegas Attorney General Office.

The problem with Don-rite with Don-rite is the quality and no communication. I made numerous calls to the company ans went down in person to talk to them and they made all types of excuses and promises and nothing happens. They had my Ford for 14 months. I didn't agree to any adjustments to the original cost, because I did not add anythinh else. The Preliminary Estimate had no Military discount on the estimate. Kyle the owner called me Sept. 30, 2022,to pickup the truck, because they didn't have room at the shop. Went over the truck when I got home, found problems with the truck: 1. They ere tiny white spots all over the truck. 2.Body side molding was loose and both end wasn't attached to the truck, I could pull it away. 3. Door for gas cap wasn't painted on the inside. 4.Driver side vent window had a gap wind and rain could come into the truck. 5. My A/C vent hose not connected on driver side vent. 6. Both doors on the inside was rough. 7. They lost my locking brackets for hard cover. 8. Right side mirrorwas leaning. 9.They did fix chrome on tail gate. 10 No rear view mirror. With all this problems I stopped payment. I'm going somewhere else to have the problems corrected. I don't trust this company. Attach is picture of truck bed when i got home
Mr. Rodrigues, first and foremost it’s very unfortunate that you were not happy with the services provided, as it was a very complicated job from the start and turned out beautiful. We had a verbal agreement that you would bring your truck back for the alarm installation, window tint , and paint the hard cover. The price was adjusted to supplement the original cost for the additional services that was agreed upon. Dun-rite has maintained complete transparency throughout the repair process. You stole from us mr. Rodrigues, when you cancelled your payment the day you received your vehicle. Why not communicate your discrepancies with us ?we went out of our way to accommodate you, even giving you a major discount ( as shown above ) on our typical classic car labor rate of 65$/hr to 48$/hr for being a veteran.
We could go back and forth over this but the bottom line is you’re a thief, you committed fraud the moment you picked up the truck and stopped payment on the credit card , it’s not bad enough you waged a formal complaint with the dmv (which went nowhere) because dun rite was legitimate on our end because we did everything and more that we were supposed to do - bottom line is you got your money back and your bad review, we hope you enjoy your beautiful truck, good luck to you.
