Was waiting outside of Donut Bar, waiting for them to open. (Approx 15 mins). Donut Bar is located on a pedestrian walkway, and our party has been asked to move because crew was operating blowers. I moved my bags and bike over by back gate entrance to patio, and another individual was blowing off the patio area, and very rudely told us to move our garbage off his property. First of all, but should be of no significance, we are homeless on the area. We are also polite, respectful and do business with the local merchants - just like most other people. I have personally been a customer at this location cation 5-6 times. (At $5 a donut, this isn't Winchell's). It is a treat, and my s/o was buying me a special donut for breakfast... He was really excited to do this, and had talked about it most of the night. To get there, with about 30 mins to wait... First of all, we were approached by security and told we couldn't hang out, we'd have to leave - we'd been there about 3 mins. Then, this person came out and made rude comments to me about my bike, saying it was garbage he wanted off his property. I ride a $400.00 retro Huffy cruiser and I have flowers & solar lights in my bike basket. When I questioned what he said, he told me his customers would be offended by my bike being there. HUH? I told Him we were customers waiting for him to open. He then stated that he was not opening today, or at least not for us. To me this behavior was rude, bullying, disrespectful and uncalled for. I'm tired of being asked to consider that merchants may have had problems w/other homeless individuals. I ask, what does that mean to me? I am a human being first, a wife, mother and grandmother. My money is just as green and spendable as anyone else's is. Homeless is a temporary financial situation, not a lable to be used, a derogatory name to refer to someone by, or a stereotype to be formed about individuals based on this title of homeless. If I am interacting with local merchants & my community of neighbors in a polite and respectful manner, I do not deserve to be treated like I am garbage because my financial worthiness does not meet someone else's standards. How dare someone take it upon their selves to bully, put down, or approach a person in so aggressive of a manner. Especially, a cash paying customer! His response and behavior were totally inappropriate, and inexcusable! I am not an animal, I am a human being and deserve to be treated as such. How does one justify complaining on one hand how the homeless aren't considered to have any value & don't contribute to the local economy... And then retaliate against me when I am trying to be mainstream - you don't get to have it both ways! Now, this person is minus a customer (and, remember, when circumstances change... we will remember how we were treated on prior occasions - so now you need to assess the additional loss of future business, the bad reference we will be giving to other customers, and the overall bad impression he left in our mouths instead of donuts. Now, my s/o is upset and disappointed that he couldn't follow through on his gift for me... he's upset that I'm taking the time to post this, and will take special care today that nothing else sets him off. We are tired of being run off, talked down to and being treated as if we were nothing. We're trying and still you condemn us. How does one pick their feet up and move on, trying to get back on their feet, when someone is so eager to demonstrate their ignorance & push us back down? Make up your minds!

Desired outcome: I would really like to see this business fail, and for our community to take a stand ... Right is right and wrong is wrong. Tomorrow he may decide that people with small children are the scourge of society & then where we all be?
