June 13, 2025: I picked up my dog from the facility at 6:45 PM. Immediately upon exiting, I noticed she was limping and there was blood visibly dripping down her leg. Alarmed, I re-entered the facility and asked the staff to examine her and help clean the wound. My dog was clearly in extreme pain — she wouldn’t allow anyone to touch the area, and any attempt to assess or clean it caused her to cry out.
Realizing the injury was severe, I documented the condition with photos and left for emergency care. She was unable to sit or lie down comfortably due to the intensity of the pain.
I rushed her to Woodbridge Garden State Veterinary Services, where the veterinary team had to administer methadone immediately just to examine her leg. The swelling was so significant they were concerned about the possibility of a broken bone. The veterinarians were clear: based on the condition of the injury, it had to have occurred several hours before I arrived to pick her up.
This was a serious and traumatic incident, and it raises major concerns about the care and supervision she received while at the facility. What bothers me most is that the day care did NOT even notice her open and very deep wound. It is still open as a drain would require the vet to cut her in two places on her leg to insert. She was in so much pain that she couldn't sit or lay down or rest for hours. This business advertises about how much they care about their customers but they are NOT fit to be open for business as they CLEARLY did not even notice this injury for hours and I had to tell them.
Claimed loss: It's more than just a vet visit. We lost sleep and the ability to live a life as we take care of our injured pet.
