I was very nervous to take my permit test due to an accident three years prior. I used this app to help me study for the test and it played a tremendous roll in helping me pass. I took each test at least ten times each (in some cases more) to insure that I would pass. Each time I took the test and got an answer wrong the challenge bank would provide a simple, efficient, and effective way to make sure I got the question right the next time.
I also purchased the premium pass for the added content and if I can leave you with one piece of advice: it’s that is worth every penny of the $9.00 some dollars.
I can’t thank the creators of this app enough and I can’t sing their praises any higher for creating such a useful program to study and achieve success. I’ve already recommended this to multiple friends and I recommend this to anyone out there who needs a little something extra to help them pass their learners permit test.

So this app is pretty good; it’s motivational, has lots of questions, and makes sure you review anything you got wrong. I’m glad it worked out for so many people but the road test practice questions for the New Jersey road test needs to be updated. Considering there were 10 tests, one of them being 360 questions, I’d feel I knew a good amount of questions for the road test. But during the test I’d say only roughly 15 seemed remotely familiar. The rest I knew from the drivers manual. Plus during the actual test, the choices I had learned to choose from the app were wrong. I wish I could post them so changes can be made but I don’t remember them. Also I know the app has repeat questions so people can review what they learned in the past but the frequency of the repeats is too often, there should be more varied questions to review for more information. If you’re taking the road test, use this app first since it seems easy to learn with but then read the actual manual to make sure the information you need to focus on for your state is accurate.

The developers are Russian. The application in Russian works falsely and is misleading. For people who want to use this application in Russian, I do not recommend this application. I demanded a refund. Marina M Head of Support responded to my claims as follows:

Having added a Russian translation not so long ago, we tried to slightly facilitate the preparation of Russian-speaking people for the exam, as, unfortunately, there are no sources in Russian. The proofreading work is a very long process, given that we have our own separate tests for each state, but it goes on all the time. Thank you for pointing us out some mistakes in New Jersey - we will certainly fix them.

If you categorically cannot use the product, please write to me today - I will refund your money.

And BAC (Blood Alcohol content) is the alcohol content in the blood - a unit of ppm.

I paid for the full access for a week version, I do really enjoy the way that this app teaches, explaining why the answer is correct and I like having the accumulative test so it gives an opportunity to refresh your knowledge without having to go to each individual test. That being said I live in Washington which is said to have the hardest knowledge test out of all of the states. There were little to few actual questions from dmv genie on the knowledge test, but a lot of the same concepts. This app is not to give you answers it is to help you learn concepts so you can answer questions similarly on your own. The only question I recall that was on the exam that was not on dmv genie was about inattentional blindness and a question about where the headrest should be. I used dmv genie, read the drivers guide, and used a few other website with practice questions and I got a 38/40. Make sure you relax, read the questions carefully and take your time. Not everyone passes on their first try so if you don’t it’s okay you’ll know what to study for next time.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that the creators created this new premium feature that it’s very expensive. I was lucky enough to have taken the test two days before the update came out so I was able to access all the tests, some of which are now charged for. I had recommended this to my friends who will be taking their tests in the upcoming months but I’m going to go right back to them and tell them forget it because the app is just about useless now. They say the “core functionality” is still there, but the most helpful tests like marathon and the road signs test have been set to premium. They may have added some other tests, but many other people along with me were able to pass without all those added tests. But, the following text is what my original review said when the app was FREE.
“THIS APP IS AMAZING! After passing all the practice tests, I was able to pass my permit test without getting any wrong! I got all 18 I needed to get right straight away! I would also recommend, at least for MA, reading/skimming through the drivers manual! You got this!”

I’ve had this app (DMV Genie) since 2019 to get my CDL I used this app religiously. Initially I was going for my class A. This app is genius ! Literally everything I studied from this app was on the test when it came to the written portion it was like I took the test before other people sitting around me biting nails fidgeting etc and I’m just click click click click it was a breeze! Anyway everything was in succession to obtaining my CDL thanks to DMV Genie . 1) purchased the app “1 time payment option”2) used the app for 1week 3) took the written exam 100% on all tests even endorsements I took ! 4) walked out with my permit 5) 2 weeks later came back to dmv for road test 6) walked out with my CDL ! Took me 3 weeks to get my CDL! Only reason why I didn’t get my Class A is because the company I was working for only had a class B vehicle available for me to use for the road test. Now I’m going for the ClassA and using this app (DMV Genie) again 3 years later .. and I’m confident.. Thank You DMV Genie you’ve helped me to expand my career opportunity’s !

I’m not gonna lie I was skeptical about this app because I wasn’t sure if it was gonna actually help me with my permit test but it did! Here’s my tip for the people trying to pass on the first time
1. Get this app. Full version is 10$ but it’s worth it guaranteed. It’s either 10$ or waiting in that long line at the DMV 2 or more times.
2. Make sure you schedule your appointment when you make 100% in all the test areas on the app. And you know EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING INCLUDING THE DESCRIPTIONS FOR EACH QUESTION!
3. When you get your ticket at the dmv and you are waiting for your test. Study all the marathons and do the exam simulator at least 5 times, 10 if you want to be 1000% sure.
4. DUI and road signs are highly important.
5. Read every answer choice atleast twice and the question atleast twice.
6. Pass your test on the first try.

I guarantee if you follow the steps I listed and get the full version of this app. You will pass this test on the first try. Please buy this app and don’t bother reading that manual.

I’ve been using this app to study for the Florida Class B CDL for about two weeks. Self taught, no trucking school or classroom time of any kind. I took my official test today (10/12) at the DMV which consisted of the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Pre-Trip Inspection, and Tanker portion. I only missed 4 questions between those 3 official tests, and all of them were the General Knowledge portion which is the longest, but I left with my CDL Permit. The app graded me with an average of 95% so it was fairly accurate. I used this app I’d say for 98% of my studying and the other 2% was a slow and thoroughly paced full read of the class B portions of the CDL Manual with a highlighter at my kitchen table. I can confidently say the Florida versions of the quizzes on here are worded exactly as they were on my DMV test with maybe 3-5 questions being only slightly different. I’ll be continuing to use this app to obtain my Hazmat endorsement and possibly moving up to a full Class A in time. 10/10 I recommend this app, just be sure to actually take the time and read the CDL Manual. Do not skip that.

When I first took my DMV test I absolutely failed and was frustrated. The questions seemed so impossible and I felt like they literally MADE NO SENSE. I would have never thought that an app like this could ever make the test SO EASY.
So to start off, this app (when fully purchased) gives you 3 different sets of tests. It gives you a set of test with all the Easy questions, Medium, and Hard.
When you start off, you choose the test you want to take and when you begin the test, if you get an answer wrong, it 100% explains what the correct answer is supposed to be FOR EVERY QUESTION! So there are no confusions!
When you retake a test, you cannot rely on muscle memory because the order of the questions and answers change every time, making it so that you have to actually read the question and think it out.
This app is so good at what it does that when you go in to take the real DMV test, you’re going to be SHOOK TO THE GROUND at how easy the real test is!
I feel like this was literally a better test than the actual DMV test!

I used this app to study for the Ohio permit test and I was quite satisfied with how much the app prepped me for it. The app has many practice tests with different levels of difficulty and even has an exam mode where it gets you in the feel of the actual test. The app's tests cover every aspect of driving and the questions relate to your state's driving handbook, making the questions more likely to be on the real test. You're instantly scored on each question just like the actual test and are provided an explanation if you get a question incorrect. There's even a challenge bank where you can look over the questions you missed and retry them. I recommend doing each test until you get 100% on them several times so you'll be as prepared as possible. Lastly, please study your state's handbook! The handbook should be your main source of information as it is what you should be studying from. On the Ohio permit test there were many questions regarding fines and license suspensions that I didn't study as much. I missed 6 out of 34/40 questions (the test ends when it becomes impossible to fail) and I got my driving permit the same day!

This app is nicely designed and its interface is incredible easy to understand and use. The ads can get in the way sometimes, but scrolling down will help you see all the answers. (I also like how you can enlarge an image by pressing on it and the animation of it when you flick it away)

The different sections are great for studying because as you learn more, there is an adequate training or testing section for you. It tells you when you get something wrong, and even organizes it to test you later in a challenge section to make sure you understand that topic.

I like the motivational messages when you fail or succeed and its super helpful to know why your answer is wrong and why the correct answer is correct.

I especially love the option to take an accurate permit test as if you were actually taking it. This will be helpful to the nervous test taker as it immediately stops you when you have failed and you can review what you got wrong.

Overall, this app is nicely designed, organized, and easy to use for any driver in training. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking to study for their permit test and pass with flying colors.

I've lived in a beach area for the past few years. As time has gone on, I've found myself driving less and less. Public transportation and Uber/Lyft are so convenient. Or others are happy to drive. Truth be told, I really don't like driving anyway. When my car lease came up, I turned in my car. When my license came due for renewal last year, I let it lapse.

Well now I'm retiring and I might need to drive in my new area so I figured I better renew my license. It hit me that I really haven't driven a car in over a year. Since I'm a good driver, the DMV just keep renewing me. I probably haven't taken a DMV test in 10 years. Laws change. I'm rusty. Last night I figured I better study up. So I checked out this OUTSTANDING app. Took all the tests. Practiced. Went to the DMV today. Got a perfect score.

I can't recommend this app enough! Study the DMV book? Yeah that might be ok but this app gets you in the "test mode" giving you sample questions to study and get tested on.

Seriously, this app is fantastic. AND IT'S FREE! How much better could it get.

Looking at needing to take the DMV test? You're crazy if you don't use this app. Highly recommented. 5 stars. And I'm a tough grader.

I have a question on the Arkansas DMV practice test on your app with the question
"Two cars are parked outside of a fire station. Which one is most true?"
The answers were ;

Car a must remain 25 feet away from the driveway. And car b must remain 75 feet from the driveway.

Car a must not park across the driveway

Car a must remain at least 20 feet from the driveway.

And the answer I put was "car must remain at least 20 feet from the driveway"
And it was apparently wrong and the right answer is "car a must remain 20feet away from the driveway in a car be must remain 75 feet from the driveway."

But yet it says nothing about 75 feet and my driver handbook and so I'm wondering where you found that?
Because the only thing it says on my handbook is "do not park within 20 feet of a fire station driveway on the same side of the street, or street where proper signs are posted."
Says nothing about 75 feet.

UPDATE:
I had a book from a previous year and looked it up on there and guess what it does have it! It makes me so mad they make all all these book without any of the right information on it. Because the new book didn't have any thing about the 75 feet like the old book does. The new books sentences would just cut off and was just not very helpful.

Oh and i passed my test but I also read the book once before I took the test.

I usually don’t do reviews but here’s my experience.
This platform is fantastic, dependable and trustworthy. If you’re looking for a study material to pass your driving test head on, this is your platform. I passed my test an hour ago, Feb.2.2021.
How to approach the test: first read the DMV manual at least twice. The foundational knowledge from the manual will be a good beginning for your practice.
Secondly; do all the practice questions on this platform from easy to hard. Make sure to score at least 95% on all the practice questions. This is attainable, I got almost 100% on all the practice tests as well. Do not memorize the questions, neither the answer because the main test at the MVA will be reworded. These practices must be intended to make you know the materials no matter what forms they come in.

The ones you get wrong after every practice, make sure to go over those for mastery. Complete all practices and feel prepared a day before the exam. Any confusion or doubts you still have over one or two things, go to google and clarify those doubts. Take the final test that mimics the actual exam on this platform and make sure to score 100%.

Keep going over the marathon tests just for fun until you are set to take your test at the MVA. This was what I did and passed all the questions on the test using this platform. If you follow this pattern, you can never fail it’s gonna be one shot. I took my test in Maryland just so you know.

Warning-Long read/ I may sound like a spokesperson lol... Wow, this is an amazing app! I've been procrastinating about getting my permit again (I let it expire all through high school and college, I'm 25 now). It's about time I got my permit again lol. I decided to download this app on a whim and honestly it was the best decision I've made. I've got a few insights to share with you guys, if you want this app to work for you. Please note that it is essential to read your drivers manual from start to finish. This app won't replace your need to study directly from the book. I read my drivers manual over and over. I highlighted important laws and then took these tests non stop! Every second I had free I would take these tests until I got a 100% back to back at least 3 times. When I needed more clarification I would open my drivers manual and re-read a specific area to truly allow it to digest. I was determined to pass my test. I desperately took advantage of every moment I had to study. When I didn't have internet access I would take screenshots of the questions I kept getting wrong on this app and study them while on break or while in the passengers seat. Taking advantage of these free minutes during my day really helped me. I just got my permit a couple of days ago! By the very end of the summer I will be driving. I am so thankful for this app! It's changed my life and I'm ready to take on the world. Please download this app you won't regret it!

It’s a good app but there are so many questions that don’t have to do with the permit test itself,, many questions will tell you “this is not covered in the manual” or “this is for the eldt” if you are just trying to study for the permit so you can go to the dmv as quickly as possible and get it you’re going to have to teach yourself to ignore the questions that don’t actually pertain to the permit test itself and just remember what you know and don’t know and don’t take your scores so seriously because you’re skipping over all the ones that are just unnecessary,, those questions do have value and I’m not saying that information is useless,, it’s just there’s no way of weeding that out of the quizzes,, you gotta just deal with it as you go,, if you stick to your mission and you can ignore those distractions it’s a good app,, if that sort of thing doesn’t really resonate with how your brain is wired,, there’s other apps that just get straight to the point for a lot cheaper,, I’m going to stick with this one because I started with this one and already paid for it but if I knew this in the very beginning I would have went with something more straightforward and less costly,, it’s not a bad app it’s just extra stuff crammed in the middle of the stuff you really need and if you’re trying to push yourself to get this information in your mind quickly that will just aggravate you and make you wish you went with something,, if you have time and learning the eldt information and the extra things just so you can know them is important to you than for you this app is five stars if that’s not you this app is 2 stars.. it costs $25 a month plus tax that’s cheap in the grand scheme of things but maybe paying $25 to be disappointed isn’t so cool,, just an honest warning for others if they could just isolate the information better it’d be perfect

I have been taking every test on the app for the past month and I still needed to practice before feeling confident in taking the test so I didn’t cancel and paid for another month. To my surprise I go back to the app this morning and I no longer have access to the tests I’m getting being asked to pay for access to the tests after having paid for another month already. This is very frustrating and discouraging then I am looking for a number to get the problem fixed and they don’t have a number or any way to get help

I accidentally purchased this subscription and I’ve been trying to find a way to get it canceled I can’t find it in my manage subscription in Apple ID or the app and it’s trying to take money off my cash app card when I don’t want it I never used it ever and want it removed and cancelled I’m not paying 44 dollars for something I’ll never use please help.

The app is great. It definitely helps you earn a license. I got my CDL Class A with 3 endorsements in 1.5 months since I purchased this app. However, their representatives are the ONLY reason I’ve given 2 stars. I’d give 5 stars if it weren’t for Marina. She should appreciate I’m still giving 2 stars. She shows no respect, let alone courtesy. She sounds very conceited and condescending. Other representatives are not as horrible as Marina, but they aren’t all that helpful or courteous anyway.

When there are pictures/illustrations accompanying a question, they are almost impossible to see at the top of the screen. For example, right on the first question about pavement markings, you are supposed to choose between A, B or C, but the letters A and C aren’t even on the screen. You can only guess that there’s supposed to be an A or C somewhere, because there’s a B in the center. The app just cuts off the left and right parts of the illustration (iPhone 12 mini). This needs to be fixed.

It’s a good app for overall understanding of driving rules, but I just had my permit test and failed it (Connecticut) even though I aced every free test available and passed the exam simulator 5 times (most recent with only 1 question wrong). On the actual DMV test, I had about 8 questions that weren’t covered in this app, despite the wide range of questions. I also found that many of the questions were repeats rather than new questions. Disappointed in this app for not covering every question.

I GUESS I’ll give it TWO stars because it’s a great app, but it only allows you to complete one thing then asks you to PAY. If I wanted to pay, I’d probably pass the CPL exams with flying colors, but the way I learn is to do the practice exam BEFORE I study THEN study and retake to get what I missed. I didn’t get a chance to study here prior to taking the actual exam and failed lol. I’m not blaming the app for that, but it wasn’t available for free for me to study on and I thought it was a FREE app.

The motorcycle option has only motorcycle questions, even the exam simulation.

The actual dmv test has 4 question about signs, 1 generic question and 15 motorcycle questions. That threw me off.

This app should prepare you for the actual test. For example I got a question about blind people on pedestrian crossings, which I never found in this app, not even phrased in a different way, and I've done all the questions easy, hard, hardest, marathon and 10 test exams (which have no new questions anyway).

If I could I would give this app 0 stars because made me failed my learners test the 5 time it’s not helpful at all I don’t recommend it to anyone at all I live in West Virginia I went to the Teays Valley dmv and failed it the 5th time the lady at the dmv said that they are not satiated with this app and they don’t even have an app so now I have to study the book know I’m am 29 years old I should’ve had all ready had my learners permit but I was ready to start driving after I lost my friend in a car reck in high school .

I really like the happy policeman. Somehow the user friendliness of it is what keeps you going and makes it -well, as fun as studying for this exam can be. It helps too that you can ask an expert questions. Anything that helps you stay calm for the exam is a great tool in my book...I would encourage extra “games” to study for the DUI section...perhaps images to help recall the correct numbers.

I would add in the final test for California one of the answers does not comply with the 2019 book. Doublecheck your hit and run with no injuries question please.

I purchased the month subscription and for the first few days it was working perfectly. Has so many quizzes and basically covers everything once you’ve paid to unlock it all. 2 days ago all of a sudden everything is locked and I can’t open anything? (Mind you I had just got my subscription 4 days prior) I get sent to buy subscription because for some reason everything is locked, but when I go to pay for the subscription it says I already have a subscription, but then it’s still locked.
If support sees this please let me know what I can do to take care of this!

I used this app to study for my permit test. I took so many tests on this that I could pass with my eyes closed. However, when I took the real thing, there were over 10 questions I had never seen before. (Examples: what to do when you hit a deer, what percent of drivers are drunk at night, etc.) This app is a total fraud and caused me multiple hours of waiting all for nothing. I’m deleting this and never using it again. READ YOUR MANUALS INSTEAD! I looked thru the manual after I failed and it all the info of the questions I missed! Whoever made dmv genie, thanks so much.

I downloaded this app to study for my permit test. I thought this would be useful considering my options were this or a hundred page State driving manual and I have a hard time actually learning from just reading something. I went into my test with confidence until about 5 questions in when I saw that literally none of the questions were even close to what I’ve seen. This app claimed to be helpful. Instead, I had 6 out of 13 right. Now I will have to make the next week miserable doing nothing but reading over and over all because you couldn’t deliver on your promise. Thanks

I’m glad this app seems to be working for everyone, but for my Virginia Learners Test it did not. I practiced non-stop for a solid month. I did the road signs test a good 15 times, the regular test about 20, and the actual practice exam about 15 times. I passed all of them every single time. I took the test today and got all the signs right, but the information on the other portion of the test was completely different from what this app taught me. This app left out a LOT, and I mean a LOT of important stuff. Really disappointing, now I’ll have to wait 15 more days to retake it

I do, I really do enjoys learning off of this app about driving and acknowledging signs and everything since I’m almost of age to drive however, majority of the tests, you can only do what, 5 questions before you have to stop, it’s not fair to people who cannot pay for “premium” or whatever. Learning should be free, maybe instead of making the tests only for premium, maybe premium is more like add ons instead of the tests and where we can actually learn but we can’t because we can’t and won’t pay for premium. I would really like to learn whatever I can, but premium is just in the way.

I only put 1 star because I can’t rate it less that that. What a money pit! Oh yeah, they were quick to take my money a few seconds after I purchased the premium for 9.99, but I didn’t get anything premium. It’s still the free version. I filed for a refund, but it determined my claim was non refundable. I updated my phone, I uninstalled and reinstalled, restored purchase over and over, now that 1/2 the day went by after purchasing it, I still have the free version. Don’t waste your time with the money pit! What a total ripoff! Save your time and hard earned money and seek a different App!

Title says the majority of it, I was a fan of the up until they blocked off half of their content with a paywall. I was almost done with the materials it had to offer at the previous time.
But right after they updated the app with newer content my progress was reset and anything that I have done past a certain point is now paywalled.
Initially this app was great as a complete solution but it now is just another EDUCATIONAL MONEY GRAB, and their in app ads are more ludicrous and invasive as ever. Most of questions are just copy paste now from your local public drivers educational material.

Be careful of accidentally clicking an add, the way they formatted it is invasive to the interface and actual content of the app itself.

I LOVE the concept of this app! It really helped me study for my test. The problem is, it doesn’t have all the questions that are asked on the California driver’s license test! I just took my test (for the 3rd and final time, so I only had one shot today), and there were about 8 questions I’d NEVER seen before!

These questions were NOT in the DMV Genie app, so I was completely unprepared, had no idea how to answer them, and had to guess. Not surprisingly, I didn’t get all of them right. And unfortunately, I didn’t get enough right to pass.

So now I have to re-apply, and go through the entire process—waiting in line, getting my photo taken, taking the test, etc.

I will look for another test prep company, and read the manual, and hope I have better luck next time!

DMV Genie was helpful… to a point. But not helpful enough! They really need to update their app so it actually contains the questions that are asked on the real tests!
