I went to Deals All Year to find a battery pack and charger for my old Canon PowerShot camera. I wanted to give it to my grandson for his trip to St. Thomas, which was happening the next day. The two dudes who worked there were super cool and helpful. They searched through their storage to find the right one for me. After a while, they finally found it and helped me install it. They were so nice and professional, I couldn't have asked for better service. I'm definitely going to be giving them all my photo business from now on. This store is awesome and the guys who work there are even better!

But then, a whole month after I had already tried to give it back, I started getting harassing and threatening calls, texts, and emails from Kevin and someone else. They said that they were a small business impacted by Covid and that this high-dollar lens would affect them. Their calls were threatening, manipulative, sneaky, and absolutely disgusting. I have told everyone I know about this experience, and I will never do business with Deals All Year again.

But the supervisor insisted that the cameras were not identical and that the version I had purchased had no GPS and limited video recording capabilities. I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to using my new camera, but it seemed that I wouldn't be receiving it anytime soon.

On Ebay, the camera was described as an identical model but without a US warranty. So, I decided to contact Deals All Year through the Ebay messaging system to ask a question about the differences between the two versions. However, they refused to answer my question and claimed that I had misunderstood their previous conversation.

Luckily, I had recorded our conversation on my Android phone, and upon listening to it again, I could clearly hear that they had mentioned the differences between the two versions. When I confronted them with this evidence, they apologized and claimed that I had been misinformed.

Despite their assurances, I still felt uneasy about the situation. They had contacted me several times by phone, urging me to pay more for the "better" version of the camera and refusing to explain things clearly through the Ebay messaging system. In the end, I decided to cancel my order altogether.

I recently purchased a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L is II USM Lens - 9524B002 (Renewed) from Deals All Year through Amazon. The lens was nicely packed and arrived promptly during the first week of Nov 2021. However, when I ran some focusing tests, I noticed that the auto-focus seemed defective and there was an intermittent clicking noise when the lens was attempting to focus. I decided to return the lens under the Amazon 90 Day return policy for a full refund.

Before returning the lens, I took many photographs of the item being returned to ensure that there were no cosmetic issues. However, a few days later, I received an Amazon notification that I had a refund for the lens, but I was being charged a fee of $438.80. When I contacted the seller, someone named Fred b claimed that the lens had marks on it and needed to be repaired. I suspected that this was a scam and immediately contacted Amazon customer service to request a photo of the alleged mark. Once I received the photograph, I compared it to my photographs and realized that the mark was not on the lens when I returned it.

I sent Fred b three of the 15 photographs I had taken, and he claimed that my photographs were from far away and at a different angle. This confirmed my suspicion that the seller was attempting to scam me out of $438.00. I immediately contacted Amazon customer service and offered the remaining photographs of the lens that clearly indicated there were no marks of any kind upon this lens. One of the Amazon customer service representatives verified this fact and opened an A to Z claim against the seller.

Once Amazon looked at the email exchanges between the seller and myself, plus the photographic evidence I provided, I was promptly issued a refund for the $438.80 fee the seller was attempting to charge me. The seller is now falsely claiming that I had the lens in my possession for 2 months on the Amazon Seller Feedback site, which is another false statement. It would be wise for this seller to cease digging that hole by posting false information concerning this ordeal.

Overall, Amazon was great during this ordeal. However, I would caution buyers to beware of Deals All Year (brick and mortar) and Global Camera USA (Amazon). It is important to take precautions when returning expensive items and to document the condition of the item before returning it.
