This company is a scam, yet Gulf News Appointment has placed many job ads on behalf of them despite of many people complaining about their scam.
please dont give them 100 dhs or 150 dhs which they usually ask for, they are only making money on you.
They do not have any real jobs to offers anyone, they just make up fake interview calls and ...you are never selected by the client!..

I have live in UAE more than 20 years and have seen agencies like these steal your money by running 'illegal' business of charging you any kind of fees, before you visit such agencies please read this ..

"Recruitment Agencies warned against collecting fees from job-seekers
The Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, Humaid Bin Deemas, said that it is illegal to collect fees from jobseekers as it is against the Labour Law and agencies getting into such practices will be shut down.
Bin Deemas mentioned that charging fee from job-seekers for acting as a broker between employers and the job-seeker is considered illegal not only under the law of UAE, but also under the international law and the ministry has the right to shut down all agencies involved in such an act.
The Minister of Labour, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Ka’abi, has expressed anger over the manner in which such recruitment agencies are operating and mentioned that any individual who has fallen as a victim to such agencies should report to the ministry immediately. As an initiative to stop such practices, the Ministry has stopped granting licenses to any new companies for two years."

I just got a call from Core Elements, and just like everyone else, was very surprised as I am looking for a job for a while now. But felt weird cause I couldn't remember applying to this company.. but for a moment thought that I got lucky once :D

Anyways, a Filipino lady called me up, from number [protected].

I tried to search now for a number and to my surprise saw so many pages about this fraud :(

Well too bad..

Yesterday, I got a call from Core Elements, and a girl with a Philippino slang informed me that her manager has gone through my CV and he felt that I am quite suitable for a particular position (wonder! they got my CV, which I never sent to them). She wanted me to go for an interview tomorrow and insisted that it should be tomorrow itself. When I was talking to one of my friends about this mysterious interview call, she informed me that she had a bad experience from these people and Core Elements take money from job seekers and never give job to anyone. She sent me this link and here I am.

I don't know how a company is cheating people like this, without any fear about the Police and legal Dept.

Thankyou verymuch to everyone, who have posted their comments, which help many people to save their time & money.

I also got a call from this so called company, thank God I asked and informed one of my colleague that I had a call from this company and had scheduled me for an interview. Same modus operandi happened to me, out of nowhere they'd called me, I also wondered how did they get my number because I know what companies or agencies I been applying and sending my CV's and none of them is this company. A trying hard english speaking girl spoke to me and said that my CV is short-listed and that her GM wants to meet me for an interview, and said that she'll said the details to me thru SMS. But unintentionlly I replied to just send the details to my email ad. When I got home, I was excited to check my emails, but was saddened bcoz she didn't send it to me. So I called her to the no. that was registeresd to my mobile but no one was answering. So I decide to check it on the net, and luckily I saw this website with Core Elements written SCAM all over it. hehehe So after reading not just one.. but many comments from all these victims, I;m well convinced that this is definitely a fraud company. BTW, my interview is tomorrow, 16-08-09, and I wont waste my time and money for it. Thanks for all of you guys. I felt bad for these employees who works or conives with Core Elements. It's not too late, you still have the time to get out of that company. Sooner or later the authorities will have a crackdown on all of you. And all of you will be punished, thats for sure. If not in this life.. it'll be on the next life. And I know this company will face its end, Dubai Police is one of the best in the world. I just hope they should live up to our expectations. Peace and God Bless!

unfortunately some of us have not been so lucky as you guys. I went for the interview, payed the fee and nothing came out of it...it is a scam i am afraid...good for you'll who didnt fall for this bull****...

i think the authorities should take action on these people...these are tough times and to give people false hope and at the same time rob them of their money, coz this is robbery, is really absurd, cruel and vicious

They are making a living by manipulating individuals and god knows how many people they trap inorder to pay rent in the obviously expensive office space and also pay their well trained scamming staff.

Under the UAE Labour Law it is illegal for any company or employer to charge or try and charge any employee for any part of the recruitment or employment process: including agents fees, finders fees, commissions, medical fees, registration charges, labour deposits etc. etc.

Any company contravening this can be reported to the Dubai Economic Department (DED), if enough complaints are made the company can have their trade licence withdrawn.

Well I lost my 150 dhs aswell. They gave me their web site user name and password. But not working at all. I called many times and finally somebody (s filipino) responed. I told my problem and he said they will take care of it. And he called me he said he send my username and password to my email account. I checked it nothing has came. So i told him thers nothing in my inbox! He said just wait, after 5-6 mins it will come. Gosh. What kind of ### is this?

Well it past 1 day already, nothing came. The woman interviewed with me is Tasneem Shaikh. She gave me so many promises. Not only uae but also she can find a job for me in all GCC even in europe UK, Scotland etc. She has a beautiful face but she is a big cheater and liar (just like the others). Im just telling you NEVER ever go their place and be stupid. If Dubai Police and Labor Department doing nothing about this F... company, that means head of it has some connections with some shaiks or what ever. Starting to HATE UAE.

I am called for an interview tommorrow and they called me from 328 9927 and the female was talking in a very superficial tone..my husband luckily did a search on core elements and we found all this information.

Thank you so much for posting. I will not be going there . I think it is time the authorities take action against them. Because core elements are not only making money illegaly but they are playing with the emotions of people who are seriously looking out to earn their bread and butter.

Dubai Police you should do something about this and also stop their website from broadcasting. Please do something to make them return the money they have illegaly taken from so many candidates.

Thank you once again.

I just got a call just a moment ago from a girl (from the slang i think she is from philiphine.), who claim she is from Core Element. she claim her manager has gone through my CV. The conversation was very straight forwards and specifically to ask me whether i can commit to come for interview tomorrow. I had, as normal, tried to negotiate the time to not fix it tomorrow as it is such an urgent notice. She was very persistent for me to decide on the spot whether i can make it tomorrow. I was quite irritated of the way she pushed me to make my commitment to come and had asked her to email the details of the company. She did not responded to my question and still insisted for me to answer her question of whether i can come to Dubai for the interview. I, as a normal professional way to respond to her demand, had say no because the time is not appropriate for me. guess what happen next? She said, and i quote, "okay, then we will discard your application" and she hang up.

I thought what? i have never faced this rude situation before from any agencies who enuinely interested on the qualification and skills we have. but this one she was more interested in fixing the interview as soon as possible, if i said no then she rejected my application. (bear in mind i had never applied/forward my CV to recruitment agency named Core Element).

Out of curiousity i surf the internet looking for clues of what actually core element is all about and i found this complaint site. Now i understand why she acted the way she was on the phone with me just now... The call was a SCAM! I was lucky to sense the trap early and avoid being scammed.

just for the record and guide for everone who might got the same call as i did, this is the number that appear for the incoming call on my mobile: [protected].

thank you everyone for posting their own experience to share with everyone.. and i hope my post can help everyone here who read this complaint site..

This comment might be a little bit delayed from the chain. Anyway, Core Elements has called me for an interview tom. My habit is to always check the net regarding any company or agency I will go to. I agree with both sides. Yes, it feels like a scam. Nobody should get money from you while trying to land a job. This should always be the principle. I mean, you're trying to earn money in the first place so it's really difficult to just hand over a couple of hundreds. On the other hand, people working in these agencies are also trying to earn money. Yes, integrity is the issue. They are hard-selling their "services" at the expense of other people.

What I dislike about this is how they try to collect the fees. It is ok to seek a recruitment agency's in job hunting help thus voluntarily pay them. BUT it is definitely a scam-like manner if you are being persuaded without full consent and knowledge that you are actually paying for this purpose. This is my experience when I went to Execuland (they have a posh office in Jumeirah Towers). Interview was fast, job description explained vaguely, then boom I needed to pay 250aed to allow me to have the final exam given supposedly by the employer. I was told that if i pass, I would get the job. I was also asked if I would pay in cash or card. I chose card so i'd get a chance to think it over but lo and behold, the card swiping machine was just beside her. I declined to cut the long story short.

Thanks for this. It is very helpful.

(JULY 26, 2009) My name ifsJOHN, here is my experience, CORE Filipina lady called and ask me if Im still looking for a job, i told her YES I AM. Im on visit visa in Abu Dhabi and looking for a job. she said she will send an SMS message to me about the details and hang up.

Here, s what interest me, I dont even remember the name CORE ELELMENTS on the company to whom i emailed my CV. (Everytime i send my CV, i also send copy of my email to myself (BCC:), So, i go back to my email compilation and CANT FIND that i emailed CORE ELEMENTS.
REALLY NOTHING.

i went back to newspaer APPOINTMENT SECTIONand look for CORE ELEMENTS. NOTHING STILL.
I checked their website from SMS message and i did not even visited their website.

(JULY 27, 2009) Luckily, a photo from thier website (WWW.COREELEMENTSMC.COM) match a photo from newspaper (WWW.JOBHUNTGULF.COM) i did applied on JOBHUNGGULF.COM but not on CORE ELEMENTS. I told my Friend in Dubai that i will go for interview in this company but she told me CORE is a SCAM. so i search for blog in this website.

despite that, i went to their office. i came from ABU DHABI, took a bus going to DUBAI and spent 125DH in total for transpo expense.

When i got there a lady (either euopean or american) is complaining about certain fees, I did not pay attention because i dont have idea, then Filipina staff ask me to wait in the small room. here, i saw about 8 people waiting also, i was interviewed by TASNEEM SHAIKH (i think indian) She ask me two questions

OK JOHN, YOUR RESUME IS VERY IMPRESSIVE, I CAN PLACE YOU TO A MANAGERIAL JOB. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT ARE YOUR SKILLS. i replied i think ilready wrote my skills in me resume.

she said I SEE... CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PREVIOUS WORK? while im speaking i noticed that she is not listening to me so i ask ARE YOU LISTENING? i got offended because she was not listening to what im trying say about her question.

so i ask again, ARE THOSE POSTING, BLOGS & COMPLAINTS IN THE INTERNET AGAIN CORE LMENTS TRUE?
when she heard this, SHE ASK ME TO LEAVE before she call the police.

i was so disappointed and decided to these blogs and share my experience.
FOR EVERYBODYS INFORMATION.

I received a call today around 2pm it was from CORE ELEMENTS and they will schedule me an interview tomorrow in Crown Plaze Sheikh Zayed Road. They asked me what time I can go there for the interview I said to them that I'll call back and ask who is calling and her name was Judy and if this is her direct line she said yes. Then, when i decided to go there I try to call her back but the number [protected] its not working then I dont know where to call her. I called the etisalat directory and asked for the number then I called them back operator answered and I ask her to transfer me to judy then she said the line is busy. I just leave a message that tomorrow I'll go for the interview.
When I got home I checked the core elements I saw there site and then I saw also CORE ELEMENTS DUBAI COMPLAINTS-JOB SCAM I got curious then I checked it and saw those comments and complaint. Im THANKFUL that I found it and read this site before I waste my time, effort and money. I hope the government will do an immediate action to this matter because maybe they will get other victims.

Got A call from this company yesterday. When I asked for more information and a job description by mail, i didn't recieve anything. Only this morning a text with confirmation for the interview. Now I'm here trying to find more details about the company on the web, I don't see the best advertising. I just called them to ask where they actually got my info from, what the job was involving and why there's so much bad advertising on the web about them. The only answer I got was: 'Ok, we'll cancel your interview' and they hung up on me!

A scam? You can be sure it is!

The owner of Coreelements is Anas Al habbal from Syria.Second line in charge is Ms.Afshan sheik from India and then Ms.Arlene managing operations(not sure if she's still wt company) from Srilanka.Ms.Judy from South Africa has been with the company for around two years now...Such Well mannered, well educated, well behaved and soft people- I could never understand how they could run a company like coreelements. The saddest part is that they dont believe they are doing anything wrong!-the lure of evil money!

To all of you guys,

Yesterday was probably an unforgettable day for core elements. I too got a call and an invitation to an interview at Crown Plaza. I also should admit that I was a bit naiive and did not do my homework by looking up this core elements before going there. So as I was waiting there in their lobby or maybe I should call it the "holding room" with at least another 10-15 potential "victims", two guys rushed into the office and one of them start shouting at the staff and telling them to return the 150 dhs the just took from his friend. This guy started immediately to tell everybody including me about the scam we were about to get in. He gave clear examples about how they run their business and everything that was mentioned in this blog. I think the guy is a US citizen but from an african/arabian background. When the one of the girls started to tell him to leave the office he instead went in all the other offices where they were conducting their fake interviews and pulled everyone out and told them about what is REALLY going on. He insisted on not taking his friend's money until the police shows up, which they later did and took everyone to the Station to further invistigate the matter BUT his friend got his money right on the spot. This guy told all of us to go and google thiscore elements and here I am. He was my HERO.

Hi all!
Today I received a call from a guy called Sunil (Core elements), he asked me am I still looking for a job. Just when I said yes, immediatly informed me that there is an interview for me 2moro and he will send all the details. He never gave any time to ask "for which post?". I received a SMS later in th evening. I felt something is fishy; In present economic climate if somebody calls you for an interview without applying... there has to be something seriously wrong. I became suspicious and googled the name and see what I hit uopn...? Thanks for all of you, you are saving several people's precious dirhams. Keep posting...

I did make the mistake of going to them but was sane enough not to pay them anything. I got away with a committment that I would have to come back with money! I lost 1/2 a day at work because I had to come all the way from Ajman for attending the interview. With so many complaints I can see that my decision not to pay was right. The funny thing is that they have managed to survive with no official bothered to book them, I had my interview with them over an year back. They do not have location maps but sure must be making a lot of money to be able to have an office in the prestigious hotel building on Sheikh Zayed road.

Hey ARIA,

You're so defensive! Are you related to the said company/agency?

Hey you must have a conscience, do you? Coz it is obvious that lot of people have been duped by this agency and yet you still defending this kind of practice? If somebody posted comments eventhough they haven't experienced it yet, at least they have been warned thru this blog and it's very helpful though, because the objective is for everybody to be aware and to be cautious in everything especially now that we are in global financial crisis situation.

Do not elaborate such scenarios which are not related to the issue. Rising and falling of prices on our basic needs depend on the fluctuate of economy, and have u heard the theory of DEMAND & SUPPLY?

SCAM is getting money from a person without any services in return. The objective of the agency is to find suitable job for the applicant right? Not to get money from them.

One more thing, you were saying that using SMS of giving address and location is because we are in the 21st century? BIG DUHHHHH... Hey have u tried to get info. thru EMAIL and PRINT it! You are calling it USER FRIENDLY to check on ur phone directly hahaha, what kind of reason out is that? It's not professional if you are sending such details thru sms, OR maybe it's a SPAM? Do you know SPAM is? Don't make us fool because we are not illiterate.

May the KARMA be with this CORE ELEMENTS forever. DUH...

Dear Arine

According to your statement given above, you agree that this core elements is nothing but just mean? Because the way they are taking money from their 'so called chosen candidte' is just a plain and empty promise.

Or do you agree with what they are doing is not wrong? Because i am confused with your last sentence that we should make appropriate judgement before paying to them. What do they know? No need for me to elaborate more because you know better starting from calling for the interview until paying the money is totally ###.

Whoever with no information or any idea on what's hidden behind this company, whose as desperate as a dying cat; how in the world they can make sufficient judgement during this time, when inside their head is job job money money where to start getting money; and being offered a job and such promise, of course for some desperate people they will lose their good judgement and accept it. But on the other side, the core elements interviewer/people they already know in the first place everything is just a big fat lie.

I hardly judge people unnecessarily but for this core elements family, i judge them so badly. All i can say is forever my money wth them is haram.

For those who cant still decide - I worked for core elements as Asst.Relationship manager for one month and quit -because 'just couldnt sleep at night with peace' - I only hope I was not the one who made membership out of you!I workd in deira 21st century building during August 2008)- For those very few guys who where lucky enough to get jobs through them, I would say "u are one helluva of a lucky guy!" ...for those lesser individuals, you are joining a club of 5300 members ( last when i left)who can wait infinitely for some training session they organise- if they ever do.You would be amazed at the take home salary of the relationship execs/managers- (Its 5 figure)-I missed it - without regret. Coreelements wont force you to take membership- true -but I can only say use your judgement.

I just received a call yesterday stating that I have an interview with CORE ELEMENTS. First, they asked me if I am still looking for a job, I said yes, then I asked what is the position being offered. They told that they have opening for Office Administrator and Executive Assistant. They asked if I am available tomorrow and they let me choose what is the convinient time for me. They told they will just send an SMS for the location. Then after a couple of hours, I received an SMS stating their details which is located in Room 503, 5th Floor, Crowne Plaza Office Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road. Interviewer is Ms. Arifa Avan. I do search for their website to gather some details but it directs me to this site. Thank you very much and help me save my time and money.

A friend of mine showed up @ their SZR office yesterday. He said how unprofessional this scam of a recruitment agency it is. A lot of Filipina applicants (who obviously did not do their "homework") were scheduled for 10am interview but were made to wait till 3pm!

Wow! This is a brilliant blog, I was called for an interview somewhere in 2007, and a female who hardly knew what she was asking, intervied me, and asked me to Pay AED 100 as membership fee, at the time they were located in Al Quoz in a temporary warehouse office. I refused to pay them, and look at their guts they have called me again tomorrow at about 4 pm at the Sheikh Zayed road office, CORE its about time you get the stick, and it will be shown how! Ready!

This is a reply for Aria from 83 days ago: You are a very mean and bad person, you can not talk about people you do not know anything of. Most of the other people spoke from personal experience, and you say they don't know anything and that it's their fault they didn't find a job? What is wrong with you? I had an interview with one of the agents there and i paid a 150 aed fee and the lady there ( who by the way doesn't know anything about interviews...trust me i interviewed people before) spoke to me for 7 minutes and took my money telling me someone will call me in 3 days for a certified training i will get. Obviously noone called.
I am qualified and educated and i would never lie in my CV, hence there is no reason for me not to be called by them.
Mybe you work for Core Elements that is why you defend them.

CORE ELEMENTS are the ones who do Broad Day Light Robbery...they are cheat...thugs...govt of UAE/Dubai should do something about it & there should be very serious penalty and consequencies for what they have been doing for all these years..in order to stop cheats like CORE ELEMENTS coming in to existance with a different name...PLEASE CAN ANYONE INITIATE A CAMPAIGN WHERE WE CAN MAKE THIS INFO WIDELY KNOW TO EVERYONE...imagine there are still plenty of innocent TO BE VICIMS of CORE ELEMENTS who need to be warned...

AoA,

I have also lost my 150 Dhs. with those cheaters, but the strange thing is that I made complaint against them using e-complain system and also wrote email to concern department regarding core elements fraud. I also received reply from them proving that this matter already in knowledge of the authority but they are still operating... I think this is because of Sheikh Afshan who do "something" to let business go.. try to understand.

I was contacted by Core Elements today about attending a job interview for a Senior Sales and Marketing position. When I asked for more details about the role, I was told that they had none as she had only received basic information from her manager. When I asked whether there were any fees, she assured me that there wasn't. As I had heard about Core Elements previously, I asked her again and she said they only charge for membership and this was a vacancy so I wouldn't be charged. When I told her I had heard many bad things about Core Elements and that they charged people, she hastily told me that she would withdraw my application ( I had not applied for any role through them).

Aria, nobody screamed SCAM or FRAUD when the rent prices tripled because people knew outrightly what they would be paying for. people didnt scream because of the rent prices because those land lords dont give false hopes to tenants like giving them a low rent price and then eventually the tenant would only learn of the real price upon signing of the rental contract.

people, especially those who are jobless and job hunting, are hurt because they have been misled, a fact that is more disappointing than losing AED150.00. And to think that for some, AED150.00 is already a fortune because of the situation of the economy right now. These people get hurt because not only have they spent money, they also have been tricked into thinking that finally, im going to get a new job.

got it?

by the way, for me, the core of everything or every person is the heart. do these scammers have it?

just asking...
