We went up there to meet some people and to check out their place for next year's company trip. We were waiting up top for the owner of my boyfriend's company. It had been a long road trip so we got out to stretch out legs. The owners of the lodge came up top after about 20 minutes and went completely psycho. He was yelling and swearing at us and wouldn't let us explain that the others must of gotten lost. When we saw how mad he was, we immediately got in our cars to go, and he accused us of trying to trash his property, and that we must be stupid if we couldn't' read a sign that said private property and went on and on. When one of the girls in our group of four went up to try to reason with him very nicely, he told her to shut up, beat it, etc. We are all professional, mature people, it wasn't late at night and we were very polite and apologetic, and still he went crazy, screaming and swearing, to the point where I genuinely feared for our safety. They even went as far as to follow us in their truck when we left. I have never in my life been treated like that. I have had other family members that went to stay there before this, apparently the property and cabins are very nice, but they won't be going back now. I strongly advise against visiting this lodge, as the owners are clearly unstable.

Hi my experince at the lodge as a young boy was very disturbing! let me teel you the owner mark got me drunk as hell and I cant remember but my dink and [censor] hurt like badd man, all I rember was mark putting on straight outa compton nwa on giving me a huge rum and coke then I blacked out, my dad was mad at me man I needed two stiches in my [censor]! Hi everyone this is paul shattstom, my stay wasnt that bad the first night, but when other drunk cabin partyers started up it was truly idiotickck, my chain saw went missing from the backof my truck, my work 300 dollar work boots too, I put my go pro down a hole in the ice to see if ther was any trout, there was dead trout all over the bottom, from what we saw yuppie, hipster young adaults snapping pitures of small trout holding them in the air for 2-5 minuts then ripping thhe hook out of their guts and droping them back down the hole, only to die on the bottom a painful death,! we also noticed people taking way over their limit of fish, using live bait, minnos, goldfish, we wernt sur if this is illegal but we checked and it is! the snowmobilers are the rudest buch ever with a huge sense of intitlement that they own the area cause they are part of the coquihalla snowmobiler club, these chiliwack, hope and merrit, verons kelowna - kamloops-people are the worst on the enviroment, oil cans greas buckets, burnt up old skidoos all left behind for garbage — we highly recommend douglas lake ranch! the best! — paul shattstrom

I went up there 4 years ago talked to mark to rent a boat, he said com on up so I did, when I got there he said it was 30 dollars a day to rent a boat from him, he got upset I wouldet rent a cabin, then he wouldnt rent me a boat it was a wate of time for him — 30 dollars is chump change, he was so drunk that we couldnet belive it, his friends are hammer heads too — the guy with the helicopter is a clown and his name is lonny

This is krystal kowalick graig, myself and hubby steve and our freinds, drew lammb, jennifer grow, and paul shattstromm — went up here to get away, we found mark to rude and annnoying, we noticed the ice fisherman and women using live minnos as bait, also many fish over the limit, these cabins are way to expesive, we had the gas stolen out of our truck and snowmachiens in the middle of the night, we guess it wass the cabin beside us who were extemly drunk and high on cocaine and crystal meth, our cooler was taken with our meat in it from our porch, big waste of time rude service and total loosers, we highl recomend douglas lake ranch — its way better and freindlt too, thanks krystal

The lakes are so murky we seen big koi and big carp stirring up the mud — thousands of yellow minnos, and huge schools of golfish babies, even caught some baby large louth bass, and some pumkin seed, just a massive turd pool!

My family has come to coquihalla lakes lodge twice a year for four years straight. We have never ever seen Mark the owner anything but friendly and professional. My kids love swimming to the big iceberg and mark is always helpful setting up the boats for fishing for us. The reviews above must be some kind of joke! I totally recommend these cabins especially in the fall when the leaves turn, so beautiful!

We just came back from Huntin and Fishin up there what a week end
The owner Mark is completely crazy. When I checked out I asked him to rip up the credit card imprint that he took as a damage deposit. He completely lost it on me, screaming about how I've insulted him & accused him of being a thief. I remained calm despite this incredibly rude treatment, apologized if I'd offended him, but said that I wasn't comfortable leaving the signed imprint with him. I asked him to please check the room for damage then (there wasn't any of course) so that he could release & destroy the slip. He kept screaming, saying that he wasn't going to change his policy for me, he'd been in business for 9 years & I'm on the only person who ever had a problem, even waved around a stack of other imprinted credit card slips of all the other people who had no problem trusting him. He would not consider taking a few minutes to walk over to the room & inspect it me, saying that he had to stay in the office to check people out - even though we were the only guests at the cabins that weekend (speaking of which, why did he have so many credit card slips anyway, makes me wonder if he ever destroys them). I've never been so rudely treated in my life, I left the place shaking. I'm just glad that I didn't stoop to his level, I can only imagine how violent he would get if I had gotten aggressive back at him. Oh, and the room smelled like poo when we arrived, it took hours for the stink to clear out with all the windows open, I think someone left a turd in the toilet for about a week - so disgusting.
My wife was scared of this freak, drunk as hell, and. talk in like a tough guy, dropping names of. his bros, a true hick town gooooffff!

Hi Im Dawn Power a corn Farmer in Chilliwack I love this place and ive always caught more than my limit in the 200 trout a day and put right into the freezer in my camper 5th wheel !I love this place and strip as many trout outa there as I can on a weekly basis--Im just pickin corn right now but ill be there bonking trout all day next sat, I heard there was some bass and perch there I cant wait to go back--thanks Mark and Chris

My experience at the lodge was bad, im denis the tool, a super goof, when I went there I got so drunk I crashed my snomobile into the lake and it sunk! gas everywere, but lenny and mark pulled me out with a winch on a tree, man I was drunk and stoned, funny thing was the snowmobile was stolen and I burnt it by the shack later that night, denis the tool!
Hi im anndrew jackson gaylover — and let me tell ya boy I had a bad stay at the lodge me and my boyfreind the tool went to the lodge and chris was a nice guy, mark was a creepy old man and he was very strange, me and my boy friend denis stayed there for a week for our honey moon it was awsome exept for mark, so we went to the free side camping and burnt lots ogf plastice and garbage and even a laptop too! it was fun I recomend going to the free camping across the lake lotsa wood to burn lots of trout to catch and me and my boyfreind slept in the back of his truck and it was amazing all for free — please go tyher and leter ripp andrew jacksongaylover
Hi I went up there yesterday and I met 3 cool dudes that were dfo officers andy fournier-ryan hegedus and kevin keenan — these 3 dfo officers were stocking the lakes with yellow perch, lm bass, sm bass, crappie and catfish for the spring bass club derby way cool I was amazed how many 2 inch bass could fit in a bucket they said [protected] fry were relesed aawsomme! ill finall get to get a fish on my fly rod — great news the bass derby will be held in 2 years after the bass fatten up on trout! see all you bassmen ther! denis the fool
Hi Im Ryan Hegedus Im a dentist, I stayed there and foud it ok, , lots of Big small mouth and Perch in the big lake--These Cabins and the owners are awsome -Mark, Chris are A ok with the Bass boyzzz--thanks had a amazing time haulin in 8 inch trout on bobber and wormz
Hi im kevin fournier a big timetrout man, I went to th lodge and had a blast we found there is a heavy presunts of bass in the big lake! we seen some huge blue gill too about 5 inch — we caught lotsa trout in th 6 inch mark on bobber — awsome place to go and relaxxx
Hi im stacey krolow I own staceys photography and boudoir — im from white horse and live in kamloops with my hubby is a drunken goof, so I always slipp up to coquihall lakes loddge with one of my girlfreids for drinkin sniffin coke and doing needles in my neck of herion and crystal meth, then have huge biker gang bangs on my expence, me and my girlfreind shannon alwaus escape from her husband steve stoelzle hes a clown and grows huge amounts of weeed in the knouff lake area steve stoelzle also is the main dealer of meth in kamloops so hes a real bad apple! we always found this lodge a good escape from the ganster life, check out my sites stacey krolow photograph and boudoir, this lodge rocks agreat shot for shoots too wethet your a fool like steve stoelzle or not bring lotsa cashhh
Do not support coquihall lakes lodge or the snomobilers they wrecked that whole area!
