I was surprised that I had a chance to get a loan to.pay off my debts. The fact that this is available is truly great. Being in the settlement process has been a good experience, as I was certainly unable to keep up with it myself. My overspending was due to the pandemic and Ive definitely learned from it. The woman with Consolidated that reached out to me was very professional and informative. My only criticism would be that she was difficult to understand. Other than that, she was very thorough in explaining terms, etc. She was also very friendly and made me feel at ease. All in all, the experience was a good one and left me feeling assured.

I can't believe the rating on this company with ComplaintsBoard.com. This should be illegal, they have literally ruined my life and I currently see and pay for a therapist due to depression and anxiety that they have heavily contributed to. They and Freedom Debt Relief have ruined my perfect credit score and 3 years later I am still unable to buy a home. Keep in mind I did my due diligence and researched these companies after receiveing advice to consolidate my debt. It was bad advice and I trusted the ComplaintsBoard.com to back it up with honest reviews. I will never trust ComplaintsBoard.com again! You all played a role in my demise. I only hope someone sees this message and decides to run

Very high pressure tactics were used to get me to sign a loan recommended by my debt reduction company that recommended this company to me. I was told by this loan representative that if I didnt take this loan offer I would probably be sued by the 2 remaining creditors my debt consolidation were still dealing with. I was in tears as this man told me these companies would probably attach my meager pay through a lawsuit. He said he felt bad about my situation but they felt it was best for me. Even when I told him at my age and health keeping up these payments of $389 for over 4 1/2 years might prove worse than the situation I started with. I signed in tears and under extreme pressure.

Honesty & clarity in communication was a prime concern of mine as I searched for financial assistance . . . Consolidation Plus provides honesty & clear communication with me. If I have questions, they are answered immediately, & completely--I have never had to make more than one contact to get an answer to a question I needed to ask. Consolidation Plus is handling my account exactly as promised, & my advisor & all other staff with whom I have interacted are so pleasant, on the phone or via any e-mail communications between us. Consolidation Plus has my highest recommendation.

As a current customer of *** Debt Solutions I was excited by the fact that I could possibly get a consolidation loan to get out of debt faster. HOWEVER; when presented with the details I was so infuriated. The astronomical interest rate they wanted to charge PLUS extend the terms of repayment. The "solution" presented would have extended my debt by over a year! I feel this company is taking advantage of poor people by telling them this plan will help them when in fact it is merely trying to get more money out of you. Their "solution" would have cost me an additional 15k in fees. This is absurd, the man was very friendly but was caught off guard when I started to question these practices. No go for me, I will stick with my original plan.

I was originally with Freedom Debt which seemed to have been doing a great job at helping my bills I was supposed to done by ***. Due to my good payment history my loan was sold to consolidation plus. I was told payment would not go up send freedom debt settled some of my previous debts. I asked if the due date was going to be the same I was told yes. I come to find out it has been extended out two extra years and the payments are higher. I believe this is a scam and would not advise anyone to except their so called help. Settle your debt yourself by word of mouth and talking to your creditors. I wish I would have done that. The interest is as high as credit card and they refused to refinance it especially since my credit is a h*** of lot better than it was over a year ago.

Steer clear! These shysters are the ambulance chasers of debt recovery programs. They kept hounding me, so I finally agreed to apply and had my "congratulatory" consult with ***, who went over the terms. As soon as I saw their interest rate, the huge increase in what my monthly payment would be, and how it would extend my payments for two more years, I told *** that I wanted to think about it for a day or two. He instantly became very aggressive towards me, saying things like "no, you need to sign it now!" He said if I didn't sign right then that they would "void" me out of their system. LOL. Void away, a-holes, because you aren't scamming me. And don't bother putting your auto-reply below my review, about reaching out to me; I don't want any more of your sleazy used-car equivalent salespeople calling.

First this is a good program and it works very well, but after our individual has paid in for a year or two there should be a reevaluation of the credit and depending on the score lower or increase the interest-rate. At this time my credit score is almost 750 and Im still stuck with a 22% interest rate on this loan which is ridiculous Ive been trying to accelerate my payments to pay this thing off. And on top of it your rep keeps calling me and wanting me to reevaluate the loan to make lower payments which only extends the loan to a longer period of time with lower payments in the same or higher interest rate. Why would I want that. There are no perks for someone that has made perfect payments and for someone that has got good credit I would like you to reevaluate my loan and take my interest down for the remainder of it

Solid loan opportunity to help expedite the payoff of settled debts through Freedom Debt Relief when your credit cant get you anything better. Would have been 5 stars had it not been for *** that I dealt with. He was professional up until the day we reviewed my loan paperwork. He expected me to sign that moment and when I told him I wanted to think about it, talk to my husband and weigh my options his entire demeanor changed, he huffed and puffed, asked me what better opportunities did I think I would get and insinuated that I dragged my feet for 3 weeks prior to that call. I sent him an email after I signed the papers a couple days later and outlined how upset I was at his behavior. No response.very disappointing and he should be reprimanded. People with poor credit have few options but that doesnt mean we should be treated that way.

When I first got the email about Consolidation Plus, I was 100% skeptical of the thought of leaving my debt into someone else's hands. After speaking with the gentleman that gave me all of my options on what to do, he helped me get my account set up with *** was able to know exactly how much I would be depositing into my designated account every 2 weeks to help settle all of my debts over time. I've been with Consolidation Plus for almost a year now, and I can honestly say that my experience has been AMAZING! With the help of them, you will have one less thing to worry about. By the end of this year, all of my debt will be taken care of I couldn't be more excited and pleased with my experience. I 10/10 recommend Consolidation Plus. Anyone who has outstanding debt and is having troubles paying it off, PLEASE don't hesitate to try this option! You will not be let down!

I appreciated the realistic perspective and views when it comes to settling with creditors or collection agencies. The open book and complete honesty in settlement prospects, fees, and rates at least gives you the tools to make an appropriate decision. Nothing is hidden and they give the impression that they actually do the best they can for the best offer.Realistically, the alternative is much worse and this business gives you an aggressive approach to getting back on your feet quicker. Their rate is high, but they give you a way out faster, and if you buckle down harder and pay quicker, then your fees do end up less in the end. That gives you back some control in how much you are ultimately out of pocket for something that was ultimately your fault in the beginning. Lol.The folks are professional and will take as much time as you need in understanding the process and requirements. Great people to work with.

I was stuck - I was in a cycle I could not get my head above water. Granted, I had put myself in this situation but I did not know how to get out of $30,000 of credit card debt. I called a debt relief company - Freedom Debt relief and they helped put me on the path to seeing an end in site. After several months of "good behavior" - paying on time and what they required, I was offered another relief in the form of a loan with Consolidation Plus. They paid off all my credit cards immediately and then fashioned a loan to pay them back. I could now start building my credit back up continue on a path of swimming not sinking month after month further in debt with interest and no end in site. The people that helped me were amazing and empathetic. I would highly recommend this solution to anyone who has been put in this situation. whether self inflicted or otherwise. Its not fun at first but i can now see light at the end of the tunnel.

The gentlemen who sold this consolidation loan to me did a good job explaining the contract. I have paid the partner company Freedom federal $11,000 towards a debt load of 29K. I was told that my debt would be settled for up to 40% of the original balance. What I did not realize is that when a debt is settled, the payments to the creditor are spread out over payments. Some settlements span over 48 months.This month, I was approached by consolidation plus offering to pay off the entire debt with a loan at 25% interest rate OVER 72 months. Carrying this loan for the term will cost $31,000. I will end up paying $42,000 at the end of my involvement with these two companies. My credit score dropped over *** the low 600's for the past two years. I don't feel good about this method of "assistance". When I have brought forth a concern, the answer has always been, "you can get out of this at anytime if you are not satisfied."

I was out of options. I maxed out three credit cards and got underwater. The *** was ding everything they could to try and get my new childcare center/business to fail, and I still have a bad taste on how I was scammed by our local community bank, but that's another story. Just know that when you start a business in ***, the only "services" that care are the ones with the largest pockets where you can dump your chances of making a profit.FDR was there to rescue me from the debt, that's for sure. They organized everything and took control of each one, negotiated, and finally got me out of the mess.Yes, it was my mess. When everything was done, I simply was moved to a consolidation loan, through ConsolePlus (part of FDR). It wasn't cheap, the rate was 23%, but if you add up all the bills, it turned out to be less. I held that loan until just a week ago and was able to refinance it to a better rate and save even more.Bottom Line:If you are in a similar mess, these guys can certainly help. I was skeptical, but I am so glad I worked with them. Credit is back to 713, and things are finally working in my fayor (no thanks to ***). Highly recommend Freedom Debt Relief.

My wife and I got over extended in unsecured debt last year, but we were able to rebuild our credit in less than 10 months with the help of Freedom Debt Relief (FDR), credit counseling and Consolidation Plus. We started the program with credit scores in the high 500's and low 600's with approximately $40K in unsecured debt. We're now both back to the high 700's and we're debt free. We tried getting other consolidation loans prior to enrolling in the FDR program and we were declined. This wasn't a surprise to us with the loan amount requested, our debts and credit scores at the time. FDR did the hard work of contacting our creditors and negotiating the settlements with them on our behalf. We would review the settlement offers and approve them or request to negotiate further. We referred to Consolidation Plus by FDR after we approved all of the settlement offers. Consolidation Plus gave us the ability to consolidate them and approved an unsecured loan for approximately $30K. They then paid off all of the remaining debt from the settlements. Yes, the consolidation loan had a high interest rate and bi-weekly payments. We knew that going in, because we thoroughly read the loan documents and they reviewed them with us as well. They even strongly suggested that we pay more when we can. As previously mentioned, we went to credit counseling, got on a very strict budget and we were able to pay the loan off in less than 6 months. If it wasn't for FDR and Consolidation Plus we would still be struggling to pay bills and our credit scores would still be poor. They gave us guidance, support and the tools to become debt free. The customer support was great as well. They took the time to answer our questions, whether over the phone or via email and they always followed up with us if contacted after hours. We have a few credit cards now, however the balances are kept less than $500.00. If we don't have the cash, it doesn't go on a credit card, unless it can be pay off the following month. Do your homework, read everything thoroughly, listen, ask questions, get outside counseling and you'll be fine. The whole process was a differently a learning experience for us and we will never get in this position again. 5 STARS!

Very mixed feelings about this company. While I am grateful that they were able to resolve my debts quicker the interest rate is still quite high. I will admit it still puts me in better shape than minimum payments on credit cards, but this program (FDR included) has saved me significantly less money than they told me I was expected to save when I initially entered the program. I would have given four stars off that alone, but what has brought them down to a two is how inconsiderate they were when I was facing a hardship due to COVID-19. I am missing a December paycheck due to the way my employer has made changes to adjust to COVID challenges. I called requesting a 30 day extension so I could make up the difference when my paychecks resume, but they said because I was new they could not defer the payment, despite the fact that I never missed or deferred a payment the whole time that I was in the FDR program. I even told them I could give proof that I would be able to make the payment with a 30 day extension (I offered to provide my financial aid statement as well as my employment contract showing payment dates in January). Additionally, the counselor was insensitive. The only solutions they offered are out of touch and useless (e.g., "there isn't anyone you can ask for help?") and they cut me off when I tried to explain my situation. I felt like absolute crap after the conversation, and they threatened to report my account as delinquent to the credit agency if I didn't make the payment on time. I ended up deciding to put off paying my utility bill and to start skipping meals for the next few weeks so I could pay on time and avoid my credit taking another hit while it is still trying to recover (I have to move away for internship next year so it is very important that I have at least decent credit to get a new apartment). I am very upset with how unwilling they were to help in the middle of a pandemic. In closing, I will say if you have no other options, this program is definitely a better alternative to credit card minimum payments and also a good alternative to FDR since your credit score will start to increase. However, be very weary with this company - after this experience I do not think they care about consumers as much as they claim to and if you fall on hard times they are not willing to work with you.

I got scammed by Consolidation Plus. They claimed to be a loan company and said they would deposit money into my account. However, they actually disputed transactions in my activity. They then tricked me into sending them money, thinking I was repaying them to improve my credit score.

I been gettin' letters from the *** AT and they say my account was with Freedom DEbt Relief. I heard this company got sued for doin' things wrong. I need more info 'bout what's happenin'. I gotta get this sorted out. They want me to pay for the credit card. somethin' 'bout it bein' used as income.

I was talked to 'bout a consolidation loan in April and didn't sign up 'til June. The loan's already paid off and the loans that weren't supposed to be included in the consolidation got mixed up in there by mistake. Nobody wants to fix the loan papers. The consolidation company works with Turnball law group (debt relief program) and both of 'em won't fix the problem. They just keep tossin' me back 'n forth between 'em.

My lawyer sent my loan payment on February 22, but it didn't get credited until March 10. And now, they're slapping me with extra charges and telling the credit agencies that I'm 30 days overdue. I've always been on time with my payments, but they won't acknowledge the actual date they received my payment. Instead, they're making me jump through hoops and fill out a bunch of paperwork to prove it was mailed on time. They have records of all my phone calls and payment requests, including the day it was sent! It feels like they're just trying to squeeze more money out of me!

I was told they didn't get my payment for April , but that ain't true 'cause they cashed it. I emailed 'em my bank statements on 4/30 and a copy of the check they cashed on 5/19. They ain't fixin' this problem and keep addin' late fees and botherin' me. I gave 'em all the info they asked for and ain't missed no payments on this loan. They did get my May payment and 'bout to get my June payment too. This is ridiculous! I gave 'em all the proof and want 'em to clear this up.

I got this loan thing going on with Consolidation Plus and I set it up so the payments come out automatically. I called them up and changed my bank account, and I made sure to cancel all the recurring payments from my old account. I talked to one of their reps and they said everything was taken care of, but then a few days later, they took a payment out of both accounts. I called them up to fix it, and the rep said someone would call me back, but they never did. So I had to call them myself to sort it out, and they told me I might have to wait for a refund. I talked to this lady named *** who said she's a supervisor, and she helped me out.

Justin S kept calling me and leaving voice messages. He also sent me multiple emails asking me to contact him. The customer representative called to inform me that I qualify for a loan to pay off my debt. Feeling harassed, I decided to call back and find out what was going on. I was then convinced to apply for a loan because of my good standing with the *** program. However, after a few days, my loan application was denied, negatively impacting my credit for the next two years. The only reason I applied for the loan was because Justin S misled and convinced me to apply for something I clearly didn't qualify for. I never intended to get a loan or apply for a credit card. The representative kept reaching out to me persistently with misleading information. You can contact this representative at *** or fax ***.

I got this loan called Consolidation PLus Loan from Freedom Debt Relief before, but then in December , Consolidation Plus contacted me and said they were the same company. They said it would be a good idea to consolidate my debt and make one payment to them. It made sense to me, so I went along with it. Things have been going well so far. But recently, a creditor called me about something related to HSN. I told them that HSN was included in my consolidation loan and asked if they could contact Consolidation Loan Plus about it. The person on the phone said they couldn't do that and told me to contact Consolidation Loan Plus myself. So, I reached out to them by phone and email, but they didn't have an answer for me. They just told me to call HSN and try to get information from them. I'm feeling frustrated because what's the point of this loan if the company isn't going to support me and find out what's happening? The settled amount with HSN was ***. My Consolidation Plus Loan number is CPO0580749.

I called on July 1st for a payoff quote. They gave me the quote and said it's good until July 10th. I called on July 9th to pay off my loan, and they said it'll take two days to process, so I have to pay more because it'll post after the 10th. I never had this issue with other loans or credit cards. It's a total rip off and needs to be checked. They make a lot of money from people who had financial issues. They're taking advantage of the vulnerable, and that's not right. I called and argued about it, and they said they'll backdate the payment to the 10th to avoid the higher amount. I had to talk to a CSR and a manager because they didn't want to honor my payment date. Finally, the manager (***) gave in because I was really persistent. Please investigate this right away.

I started the debt consolidation program with Freedom Debt Relief (FDR), which is a sister company of Consolidation Plus (CP). After a few months, this guy named Devan M, who works as a Loan Consultant at CP, reached out to me. He said I might be eligible for a loan that would help me pay off the accounts in my FDR program faster, which would minimize the impact on my credit. At that time, my credit score was just "OK" because I followed FDR's instructions and missed some payments. On 3/2, I sent all the necessary financial documents to CP, and they promised to get back to me quickly. But guess what? They never did. Then, on 10/20, Ms. M contacted me again and asked me to apply for the same loan, even though they never responded to me the first time. By that time, my credit score had gotten really bad, but they still approved me. I had no other option but to accept the CP loan's terms, even though the interest rate was ridiculously high, just to improve my credit. Until now, they haven't given me any explanation for not responding in March , and it seems like CP and FDR are the ones benefiting from all of this. CP still hasn't reviewed my case.

I got a loan from Consolidation Plus, and it's supposed to be paid off by 3/15/2022. The last four digits of my account number are ***. I'm having some trouble with my loan payments. When I first got the loan, I agreed to pay $700.48 every two months. They wanted to take the money straight from my checking account on the 1st and 15th of each month. But because of how I get paid at work (salary and commission), I asked them to take the payments out on the 22nd and 30th instead. Consolidation Plus has been taking these payments since January , and I haven't missed any. But now, out of nowhere, I'm getting 2-3 phone calls every day from their collections department. The amount they say I owe keeps changing with each call. Sometimes it's $2000, sometimes $2200, and the highest was $4000. The worst part is that they've falsely reported me as late to the credit bureaus, which is really hurting my credit score. I've tried explaining the situation to them, but they just keep doing the same thing.

I got a loan with Consolidation Plus, but before that, I was dealing with Freedom Debt Relief and some other folks. My lawyer back then said he was talking to my creditors to lower the amount I owed. He told me not to pay, my credit went down, and it was hard to find out what was really happening with my loans. They said one loan was negotiated to a lower payment for me, and they were still negotiating with *** Fargo. They said I'd be done in March 2022. Then, after paying them $262 every two weeks for 2 years, out of nowhere, they tell me I qualify for a new program because I've been making EXCELLENT payments. They didn't say anything about the *** Fargo negotiation or the money I've already paid. They said I'd still pay the same amount each month and the program would last 2 years. I know they're in big trouble with lawsuits. I don't get why I'm still paying the same amount when I don't owe that much anymore. I don't get why the interest rate hasn't changed with my WONDERFUL payment history. I just want to be done with this shady business!

In April , I hired Freedom Debt to help me pay off some credit card accounts (around *** worth). I never missed or was late on any payments to Freedom Debt. Then in May , Freedom Debt had some issues with certain creditors and suggested that I work with their sister company, Freedom Plus, to settle the remaining debts. They said I could just make the payments to them and not worry about the creditors anymore. I thought it was a good idea because I trusted Freedom Debt to know the best way to handle the situation. However, Freedom Debt didn't know the exact amount needed to pay off the creditors, so they waited until after the debts were settled before finalizing the details. That's when I found out that the interest rate would be 25 to 29 percent and the repayment period would be extended to another 41 months instead of the original 48 months. By that time, I had already made 25 monthly payments of $524.00, which would have ended on April 4, 2022. I asked if I could stick with Freedom Debt, but they said since the creditors were already paid off, I had to stick with the new arrangement. They also mentioned that if I made payments on the new plan for 4 to 6 months, I could try to negotiate a lower interest rate. I've called them several times in good faith and talked to different people, but they always said that my debt-to-racial ratio was a factor preventing them from lowering my interest rate. I believe that based on the payment schedule I've followed, the payments shouldn't have been higher than what was originally agreed upon. I should have been given the chance to stick with the original contract. They didn't allow me to cancel the new contract, nor did they lower my interest rate as I requested.
