Concordrents review: Rental charges

I was renting the place for two years and I moved out august 20,2022. The Landlord is asking me to pay a $316 fee and pretends to keep my $500 deposit.

For the whole month of august the refrigerator wasn't working, and I had to trough away a lot of groceries, definitely worth more than $316. I asked them to skip the payment, otherwise I need to hire a lawyer. Does it make sense?
