No less than one-third of this stations broadcast time is consumed with commercials. Some of which are so hurried paced as to be nerve wrecking. The background sounds used during traffic reports and the "Depend on it" WSB promotions are extremely annoying.

Here in spring 2023 I enjoy listening to Von Haesler myself. But, my God, all the damn commercials you can barely remember the topic for discussion. And it seems most all the ads are for some type of very expensive home improvements that usually are for services at or above $10,000. Belinda would support elderly euthanasia if they paid her enough !

When I leave for work in the a.m. if the show is on I never make it out of my neighborhood before it's right back to long and frequent commercials. I don't mind a reasonable number of commercials but gee whiz...

I’m a long time listener to WSB radio and enjoy it so much. I’ve enjoyed all of the personalities over the years and love the ones we have now.

I have especially enjoyed Erick Erickson and his perspective relating to Judeo-Christian values and philosophy. I was very happy to hear he would replace Rush as I could never listen to Rush for long because I couldn’t stand his arrogant tone and belief that he was the only person in the world who wasn’t an idiot. I’d listen to his intro to see what was on his mind and decide whether I wanted to listen for a while. I listened to Erick before Rush died and was glad to see him move into the slot. I am disappointed in Erick’s total misread of the midterm elections and his constant reminders of his love for the finer things in life like expensive cigars, bourbons, and his constant proclamations of love for products who generously compensate him for professing his love. I hope he gets the house in the mountains and the private jet he craves. He should stop all the name dropping he does as well. Sorry to say it but my impression of him seems to be on a downward spiral.

WSB is a partisan mouthpiece for the GOP.

Their programming is overwhelmingly one-sided, with "entertainment" presenters such as Eric Von Haessler and Erik Erikson mocking the news to the effect that listeners are encouraged to not care at all. The sum effect is favorable always to the wealthy. "Liberals" (read anyone who isn't a Trump true believer) are derided.

Other programs, notably Hannity, lie for Trump with such great regularity as to numb the audience. The purpose here clearly is to whip up anger and fear among susceptible audience members.

This is not proper use of FCC regulated airwaves. It's time for these shows to end. It's time for WSB to either become a responsible broadcasting outlet or forfeit its licenses.

I completely agree with you, though I would say that it is more like half. There are FAR too many commercials. and they are LOOOONG! I counted 12 minutes one time. There is no need for it. And they are all the same... Life insurance, 401K, Buy Gold, Life insurance, Play the stock market, buy gold, 401K... etc... Get it together. I just change the channel. 2-4 minutes is one thing, anything more is EXCESSIVE!

The only reason Rush is on 3 hours a day is the commercials. Should be more like 1 hour 15 minutes.

That's not a very valid complaint.
Many News/Talk stations and All-News stations have all sorts of background sounds.
In Canada some radio stations even advertise Male Enhancement pills and Penis Enlargements.
