West Coast Endoscopy Center / Abusive employee!

1 616 E StreetClearwater, FL, United States Review updated:

I want consumers to be aware that West Coast Endoscopy Center, Clearwater, Florida continues to employ a Male Technician, who has abused his position with female patients. I complained to the Administrator of West Coast Endoscopy Center about the Technician, who positioned me in a humiliating way during preparation for an Endoscopy examination in December, 2007.
The Administrator said there had been a previous complaint about the same Technician from a female patient. Despite telling me this, the Administrator refused to take any action against the Technician. She said that due to my complaint they would now sedate all patients before exposing them for the colonoscopy procedure. When I suggested that the disturbed Technician could now do as he pleased with unconscious female patients, her reply was "what you don't know won't hurt you." This type of response was very disturbing. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Health but they will also do nothing to guard the public from this Technician. By posting on the Internet my bad experience at West Coast Endoscopy Center, I want to warn female patients not to use their services. There is a disturbed Technician working there, that abuses female patients.

Can you tell me more on this as I just came across this and I have an appointment there for an endoscopy and colonoscopy for Monday April 21st with Dr. David Becker. Also, can you tell me the person's name as I don't want them touching me!

i have got to disagree with you. I have had my family and my procedures done there. The place is just so professional and caring. I wonder what your issue is. If you really had a valid reason, the state would have helped you. They always look into it. The place has been open for five years. I was told they have done like 20, 000 procedures there. I wonder What Pam has to say about her experience. Did she land up going.

If the Administrator continued to employ the Technician after getting a second complaint from a patient, she should be removed from her job. I would certainly question this before having any procedure done.
Also, Concerning Charlies Comment. He has obviously not filed a Complaint with the State of Florida. They will do nothing, short of an actual criminal assault. I also think the warning is to potential female patients.
