Just a brief note to say thanks for a VERY professional move. The guys showed up at precisely 9AM. I was impressed by their professional demeanor. They were extremely efficient, tireless, and respectful of the personal and office belongings being moved. Overall, both of the gentlemen did a great job. Most importantly, nothing broke. Please take into account that most people only write letters when they are upset, here it is just the opposite.

Once again, thank you for a job well done.

Sincerely,

I had your company move me recently on the recommendation of a friend. I spoke to you before the move with regard to notifying the building of insurance coverage etc.

The two men you sent were absolutely competent and professional and enormously helpful. They finished the job very quickly and without any damage to my valuable furniture and art despite the problems of dealing with a rather small elevator which necessitated their hand carrying three oversize paintings 11 stories up fire stairs.

Everything went perfectly smooth and I will recommend your services to my friends and particularly the crew who could not have been more helpful.

Sincerely,
David Rapaport

I want to express my deep gratitude for the expert service in which the crew handled my furniture. All items arrived in perfect condition, professionally packaged down to the last ash tray that I was using and had forgotten.

My daughter and I were amazed at their good humor and spirit throughout as well as the speed in which they did their work.

They assuredly are to be commended and I would readily recommend your company for its efficiency and fair dealing.

Sincerely,

Saturday we moved into our new home with the assistance of two of your movers. We were very pleased with the work. They were careful, courteous, and fast working.

Should we be moving again we would assuredly seek your service. If called upon for a recommendation, we would not hesitate to name your firm.

Thank you, Sincerely,
Steven van Gelder

This is a letter of commendation of your crew members. Both of these fine, strong men helped move my household items on Sunday, 20 September. They arrived promptly, went to town with haste and transported my things gently and efficiently. They were amazingly fast and remained courteous and good-natured throughout the move.

We are planning a move in the next year or so and I certainly will contact your company to do the honors. It was a pleasure doing business with your company.

Very truly yours,
Elyse Babtkis

I wanted to drop a quick note and let you know how pleased I was with our recent move.

First of all, I will say, of all the phone calls I made to moving companies, I chose Walter's entirely on the friendly phone voice of the consultant. All the previous calls to other companies treated me vary abruptly. Your consultant was courteous and efficient.

I was extremely pleased with the guys you sent us. They were all professional, precise, very timely in their work and communicated well, not to mention very patient with all the confusion.

Thanks again for a job well done and give the boys my regards. You can be sure if I need your services again I will call and will also recommend your services should anyone ever ask.

Sincerely,
Susan M. Buechsenstein

I had to write and tell you how wonderful, efficient, careful, well organized and professional the gentlemen were who moved us on Sunday were. It was the first pleasant move we ever had!

Thank you and I recommend your company for all.

you forgot to post that there were several other people in the house other than the movers. like the cable man, the gas man, several house keepers and people helping you pack your items because you couldnt do these things because you were 6.5 months pregnant who all had access to your items .all walters transfer employees were willing to take lie detector test but never heard anything back .we are very sorry about your situation but please if your going to post your side of the story please tell the whole story thank you and have a blessed day.

DO NOT USE THEM EVER! LONG POST BUT WORTH READING!I had used WALTER'S TRANSFER many times in the past and had been very happy. For my latest move I did not get an estimate since they had just moved all the same furniture only 1.5 years ago. That price had come in around $550 or so. When they showed up the day of the move I assumed it would once again be a very smooth move. At the time I was 6.5 months pregnant and had taken off my wedding rings since my fingers were swollen. I put them in a box in my nightstand along with some other jewelry that morning. I didn't think anything of it 1) I had used them so many times before and 2) There was no reason for anyone to go into that drawer. The move did not go as planned at all. During the day I called the office to express to them that I was confused as to why this move was taking so much longer then the previous one. When I mentioned it to one of the guys working he said it was because it was hot outside and was very defensive. They broke a hat rack which at first I was annoyed but thought things happen when you move. At the end of the day we ended up paying almost $1000 for the move and the hat rack which they had attempted to fix had been just left outside and was still broken. That evening I was looking for an ottoman cover that they had taken off and it was nowhere to be found. Before I went to bed I looked in my nightstand and was devastated to see that my little jewelry box was nowhere in sight. I tore that night stand apart looking for it, nothing! There is no question where the box and my rings were. I had not taken out the extra insurance with company because I trusted them...my mistake. When I called the next morning I was told that this had never happened before and that they could send someone out to fix my hat rack, they would look in the truck for the ottoman cover and ask their guys about the rings. I did file a police report and they were all questioned but none admitted taking the jewelry. It took forever to get my hat rack fixed and I had to chase them down to get that done. The guy that had taken off the ottoman cover had no idea where he had put it. We randomly found it in a side table where he had just shoved it. I filled out the claim form for them but every time I asked who the insurance company was they would not tell me. My claim was denied and did find out who they were from my own investigation. All I ever got from them were statements like, "Wow this has never happened before". This experience has been horrific and the way it was handled was even worse. In the letter I received from the agent they stated that they had spoken to the guys and none of them knew anything about the jewelry. Shocking! So I ended up paying way more then expected, had something broken, something misplaced and my most precious JEWELRY GONE. I love the fact that we actually tipped these guys to do all this! Be careful using them! They are only as good as the guys they hire and all I can say is this crew was awful and they stood behind them.

That is a completly untrue statement! There was one extra person at the house and he was outside. What you are saying is an outright LIE! I didn't even have a housekeeper and it was only my husband and myself that packed our stuff. The items in question were not around anyone but the movers. Also the Detective on the case stated that all but 1 person was willing to take the Lie Detector. Please don't comment and say things that are not true!
