The owners of the school Edmund and Tearsa Ciarfella created accounts for minor children with some website called perfect mind. No one gave them permission to create these accounts. Those accounts include the child’s name, address, birthday, phone number and the child’s picture. I caution people before joining this TKD place NOT to. They claim to be all about giving back and leadership. They are all about how much money that can make. If you have to stop training due to medical or financial problems they will sue you for the remainder of your contact. Edmund Ciarfella is a major hot head has a very bad temper and if you don’t think the same way he does you are a horrible person in his eyes. PLEASE DON’T TRAINING THERE IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Head Master is NOTHING BUT A BULLY

I don't really see grand master Edmund much he is usually in his office if a see him at all. I go to the after school 5 days a week and I'm the oldest kid there so I can tell what is going on. I've been going for 3 years and I eventually figured out what their real desire is. it's the money, My parents pay $550 dollars a month for me to go there and that is very expensive plus 638 dollars to get a black belt and 50 dollars per each graduation which is absolutely absurd. yes, they have expenses but where does the money go? I think Edmund likes to spend it on the Porsche that he has and on fancy 2-week vacations which he has gone on two of in the last month. none of the money is going to the after school there are a lot of crappy toys down there that just keep breaking. also, not a lot of group rules there now don't get me wrong I'm all for having fun but the lady downstairs gets distracted very easily and doesn't even turn her head when her 1-year-old is throwing toys and crayons all over the floor and none of the kids are reprimanded when they break things. things are just cheap there. It's one thing if they didn't have the money but I know for a fact they have A LOT of money much more than the average person. honest to god I'm surprised the building is still standing. please at all costs avoid the aftercare program

They are a shady run business. I had enrolled my children for afterschool care, thinking that my child would be picked up and be taken directly to the school, not sit in another pick up for an hour to wait on another child so they can save their $$ on gas. I paid nearly $1000 for both kids for 3 hours a day afterschool. I think this would have about covered the gas and more! I disenrolled my children and my account kept being billed regardless of how many times I stated that it shouldnt have. The first time they refunded. The last straw was when my account was charged again 5 months after I disenrolled my kids and I have been trying to get my money back for the past 6 weeks. I would not trust them with my personal information or bank accounts. They keep them on file even after your child is disenrolled. It's like they do it on purpose thinking you wont check the statements. Not so slick! If you plan on joining this school first make sure you won't disenroll for a while or else they will rip you off!

My family has been involved with umac in warwick ny since June 2015 as my then 5 y/o attended the summer and after school programs. My wife and I have been so impressed with the character of the entire school, especially the Ciarfellas that we joined the school ourselves. This is a martial art school, not kindergarten. The Ciarfellas deserve all the respect for what they have accomplished. Btw, I don't know why people get upset that business owners are trying to make money and hold people to their written contracts.

Edmund Ciarfella is a bully . His title should be Grandmonster, not grandmaster. His ego is inflated to the point of insanity. That combined with his temper makes him someone you should not trust around your kids.
