They alloted each lottery ticket to certain email ID's and from automated computer ballot, my email ID was one of twelve winners (Ref. No. CHN/[protected]/11 Batch No. 14/0017/IPD Serial no. GMLA2-00 Ticket No. 12033 Lucky No. 425448/7785 Email add. Quote : 05032 Amt. won: 650,000.00 GBP) and i was told to contact claims agent Mr. David Welch on email ID : claimagent.welch@yahoo.co.in Telephone no.: +[protected] afterwards David Welch told me to contact Mr. John Thompson - Tranex Courier Service email ID : tranexcourierservicedelivery@yahoo.co.uk , Tel. After crediting courier fees on 31.10.2007, I have not recieved the so called my woned amt. 650,000.00 GBP as was that the same will be delivered in 72 working hrs.

Even one of my friend got the same email stating that she have wonned 1,00,000 GBP and to get the same winning amount she will have to pay 450GBP to the courier company whole will handover the winning parcel to here only after receiving the amount of 450GBP.

But after inquiring we too come to know that it is a fraud company... and after reading this complaint it is dam sure that such lottery company's always are fraudulent!

    Attention: Winner,

    TICKET No: 20511465463-7644

I am in reciept of your last mail. For two reasons we cannot deduct from your prize as suggested. The reasons are:

    1) A cheque has already been Issued in your favour by the National Lottery Payment Office. The amount on this cheque is the full value of your Prize-money. We are thus unable to deduct any fee from your cheque.

    2) Due to very strict policies laid down by the British Lottery Affairs Commission, we are unable to process the Courier of your winning pakcage by deducting from your prize money. These policies have been put in place to check previously experienced mishandling and/or misappropriation of winners funds, we are obligated to act in line with these policies.

It is very important that we receive the fee prior to the courier of your winning package, as part of the fee will be used to cover the necessary courier charges, also included in the fee is the cost to cover insurance of documents that will be sent to you via courier.

Considering that we cannot process your prize money without payment of the required charges, I advise that you arrange for the funds to be transferred as earlier instructed. If you can not come up with this amount, your claims will be cancelled and your funds remmitted to the National Lottery as unclaimed.

    Awaiting your response.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Michael Field

    Dear Winner,

Due to the high occurence of internet scams, i completely understand your skeptism. I wish to make certain issued clear to you. Be informed that the UK National Lottery Does NOT ask for money before releasing winnings to any winner. However, If a winner does not reside in the UK and wants his prize-money to be sent to him via Cheque Courier or Bank transfer, the courier company or the Transfering bank as the case may apply will demand for their service charges to be paid upfront.

Understand that the charges you are being asked to pay now is for the courier of your winning cheque and other vital documents to be sent to you. If you prefer to come personally to the UK Lottery office to recieve your winnings, then you will not have to pay the courier charges. However, if you cannot come to the UK, you are obligated to pay these charges. I hope you understand that our courier company has to be paid for our services as we do not work for free.

Also, i hope you understand that the category in which you won is different from the regular draws where participants purchase tickets. The terms in this online BONUS category apply differently. However, if you do not wish to see this process through, Kindly provide a letter of forfieture to the Uk Lottery Affairs Commission.

I will be available for questions, if there's any issue you do not understand.

    Regards,
    Rev. James Williams
