The UPS Store - customer service and refund policy

I shipped a package at this UPS store last month; I had my name and address clearly written down as the shipper. Low and behold after reviewing the shipping information, I noticed that my name and address was misspelled. I politely requested that it be corrected because there was a refund associated with the shipment and I didn't want any confusion. The clerk told me not to worry because my name and address was only for the store's information and the receiver wouldn't see it. The clerk told me that they would correct my information the next time I came in to ship a package. Well; a couple of days ago, I shipped two packages to the same retailer. I provided my Driver's License to the clerk so he could update my name and address. I couldn't believe it! My name and address was incorrectly input into the system AGAIN! And again; I was told not to worry about it because it was only for the store's information.
In the meantime; one of the packages got diverted and it was delivered a day late. I called the store and wanted a shipping refund for the package that was delivered late (UPS has a guaranteed delivery refund if the package is delivered late due to a UPS problem). The store told me that I didn't have to do anything; they would handle everything for me. Great! Not so; it seems that UPS sends out a check to the name and address that the UPS store has on file. I was very upset about this and I was also upset because the store told me they would call me around 8:00 A.M. to give me a status update. They never did! I went back to this store and asked for a copy of the refund papers and or a claim or reference number for my refund. The clerk told me that I was not entitled to this information because they were the ones that initiated the refund. The clerk told me that he personally called UPS corporate and updated the system information with the correct spelling of my name and with my correct address. I was still furious; so I called the UPS Corporate Headquarters in California [protected]) to file a complaint against this particular store.
When I called, I got a regular UPS representative. I asked her to do a warm transfer to the Corporate Headquarters for me. She was very polite, emphatic, and very efficient ( a credit to UPS). Anyway; I spoke with a person by the name of Steve in California. He also is a credit to UPS! Steve accessed my information in the UPS database and low and behold the clerk at the UPS store LIED to me... He never updated my information. Steve was very concerned about this and personally contacted the store to make sure all my information was correct. Anyway; after all that, Steve told me that I should expect a refund check with my name and address listed correctly on the check. I would NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone. In my opinion, Corporate UPS should revoke this store's franchise. This store is only hurting the unblemished reputation of UPS itself. I personally will never ship from this store again.

Updated info: The best number to the UPS Store Headquarters is [protected]... Good Luck! I'm still waiting to receive my shipping refund!
