I am creating a FaceBook page called The Jockey Club Timeshare Scam because I fell victim to paying out 12K and kept current on my maintenance fees. Yet, there aren't any vacations to be had. They try to blame it on their affiliate programs but NONE of them have timeshare space available. They are clearly selling more timeshares than they have available. We have called them multiple times and could not find a vacation. Finally, after contacting the Better Business Bureau, I am getting calls from management. I looked up BBB, and the company gets a "d" on their gradecard. I spoke to a few lawyers who informed me that the keep changing their names and Geoholidy has been in trouble for tax fraud. They promise you vacations you can't take, tell you that you're a part owner of the Jockey Club, and that a part of your maintenance fees can be written off in your taxes. This is all a lie! I wish I did my homework because I have put just under 15K into this! And nothing to be had but useless time searching on their site for vacations not available, multiple calls into the company and their associates can't find us vacations either. You threaten to stop paying your maintenance fees, and you get a nasty letter that they are going to ruin your credit. So basically, you are to keep up your end of the contract and they don't have to. Now I know why they send you your "part ownership certificate in the mail" rather than along with the rest of the forms you signed. Because it is fraud, you do not own a part of the Jockey Club as an owner, they don't send you minutes or voting rights like promised, and there sure the heck aren't any vacations to be had. All the free vacations promised to you, forget them! They aren't available. I spoke with a lawyer and was told that these time shares are on properties where only 20% of the timeshares have room for members, the other 80% are for people who don't belong to a timeshare and are just rented out. Wow, no wonder I can get a vacation through travelocity before I can get one through my Geoholiday aka Starpoint aka Sapphire Resorts timeshare. Now I have to spend the time going to the courthouse to file against the company and pass out business cards to people around Vegas so they know it is a scam!
