I purchased the sears home warrant with a 30 day waiting period. On day 43 my washer began making loud noises and stopped completely washing the clothes. I called for service. A service man arrived, and I explained the problem. He reached in spun the agitator and said in very broken English it's bearings and transmission it is too much work to fix. I am recommending it be replaced. I will call sears tomorrow. He charged me 75.00 cash for deductible and said he would return after speaking with sears. He was there a total of 9-11 minutes.Sears called 2 days later and said the washer was not covered as it sounds like a pre-existing condition. The next day my AC starts blowing warm so I call again. A service man arrives checks the unit calls sears then tells me the AC is not covered because he believes the coils need cleaning and that would be maintenance. He also collected 100.00 deductible. Warranty administered by Cross Country. BEWARE they take your monthly payment and deductibles then look for ways to deny the claim. Not the service Sears provided in the past, but most likely the reason they are closing stores and struggling to stay open. I will be replacing all 7 of my Kenmore appliances with other brands. NO MORE SEARS OR CROSS COUNTRY.
