We pay an exorbitant amount of money to see a movie and even more to purchase Cineplex food. Is it really necessary to continue the deceptive, misleading, and criminal policies when it comes to collecting Scene points as well?

Pay careful attention to the collection of your Scene points when you visit Cineplex to see a movie. Under current policy, you receive 100 points for every movie you see. However if you are making multiple ticket purchases, you must make each ticket purchase seperately in order to get all your scene points.

Example: You are taking your wife and son/daughter to a movie. You buy three tickets and hand them the infamous Scene card. You would expect to get 300 points. NOT THE CASE ! The faceless corporate entity that is Scene has a policy in effect that limits your scene points to 100 per transaction. You lose 200 points unless you specifically instruct staff to process each ticket purchase individually. One receipt/100 points regardless of number of tickets purchased.

In effect a single patron purchasing one ticket gets the same number of points (100) as a parent taking the family to the movies.

This is misleading, deceptive and criminal. This policy needs to be changed.

Furthermore, these faceless "bonus collecting" non entities have complicated things by giving you just 24 hours to catch the problem and rectify it. After 24 hours you are helpless to get those points back. Another convenient policy that greatly benefits Cineplex/Scene and not the patron.

Big laugh ... DO NOT expect the staff at Cineplex to point this out to you for obvious "financial profit" reasons. They have been covertly instructed not do so. Forget looking for a sign posted explaining/warning of this act of willfull criminal trangression.

If you have a promotion like 30 X points, like I had at Montana, they post the normal points (not 30 x)
You need to wait 30 minutes (or less) to see what is wrong,
next they will tell you that everybody needs to take a picture of your restaurant receipt and restaurant receipt points, to see if you don't have a combined promotion (see terms) and mail them all you info to scene.
Who will do that?
Not to mention they email you this promotion and you need to prove there was a promotion?
Too much work for some cents.

It has been this way for years.

Also, you can get even more points if you buy online (10 bonus point per ticket) and also if you set up a 'scenetourage' (group of friends with scene cards) this will also get you additional 10 points.
