Reply.com Leads

This company is so scandalous. They contact you to sign up, saying that if you can't contact the lead that they send, send it back no questions asked and you won't be charged for it. I decided, what the heck ... I'll try it out. You sign a contract for leads and they start coming at you faster then you can imagine. Each one I called was fake or was not interested in real estate. I sent them back and they did give you credit, this went on for 24 hours back and forth, as they sent it I sent back for credit... They did credit but this goes on so fast I cancelled the very next day and because they keep shooting them out faster then you can stop it they refuse to cancel you are stuck for 30 days and now they claim I owe them over 300 dollars. Not one lead is real...if there are any real ones I certainly lose track as soon as I called to cancel they started comining in faster and faster... If those were real leads I would have been the happiest realtor... However, they did not cancel my acct and I had $300+ charged. Now they have a collection agency calling me demanding the funds and will not stop... They are fraudulant and I feel violated. Be careful out there! Don't be scammed by this compan. Anyone out there with the same issue with them let me know how your situation worked out..

Attention Readers,

This is a fradulent complaint, as this same exact complaint was posted verbatim in 2008 by a different person, who were also never able to contact. I urge readers to question the validity of complaints like this, as often times they are completely bogus as is the case here. I always make it a point to provide my direct contact info, in the event someone has a problem that they need resolved:

Reply.com Do Not Fullfil Their Promise of Real Estate Referral

I would like to warn anyone in real estate who is considering subscribing to REPLY.COM as a real estate referral company AVOID THEM! They will take your money and send you no valid live referrals that come any where near being considered a referral. Their site, where people go to fill out a questionnaire, produces only dead, not live, leads. You have 72 hours to ask for a refund on a referral and it doesn't make any difference whether they give it to you on Friday ...your clock is ticking. They are the sole judge of whether you get a refund or not. Terrible company and I hope that anyone reading this will avoid signing up with them. No referrals just grief! If you want more information on my impressions of this company just email me at [protected]@hotmail.com

I would like to comment on the above letter from Mr. Rudd Lippincott. After much discussion (all of which did not involve the advisories doing their normal yelling and screaming) Mr. Lippincott, I came away from give and take meeting with a better perspective as to what the company does and their goal to do things right for their clients. He and I were able to come to a mid-point of agreement that there were some things that would make the company goals more accurate to the subscribing Realtors. I have to admit that I have never dealt with any company spokesman as understanding and articulate as Mr. Lippincott. I voiced my complaints and he listened! Rarely do two opposite sides of an issue come together in this world of business over an issue. I think that we would not have wars in the world if the governments faced an issue the same way that he and I responded to each other. We settled on some items that allowed the company and I to continue our relationship under better understanding of each others problems. At this point, in their reaching out to me, I feel a lot more comfortable that REPLY.COM wants to make things right for all subscribers to their service. I think that my discussion also allowed for them to see the Realtors side of the contentious issues. I plan on coming back to this site, after six months, and report back as to how well the company is meeting my needs based on their promised service.

Mr. Keller,

It was a pleasure speaking with you over the phone today, thank you for your time and feedback. We take all complaints seriously and I'm glad that we were able to figure out a way to continue working together.

It is important that we let readers know that Reply! takes all complaints seriously, and I'd also like readers to understand what we did to keep you as a client.

The primary concern we discussed was that the 72 hours provided to return invalid leads was not enough time for you, so you ended up paying for leads that were invalid after discovering they were invalid when 72 hours had already passed. What Reply! agreed to do was to offer you 5 credits for leads that met this criteria. We also converted you to our subscription only plan for the next 6 months, instead of paying per lead on the old program.

If any other clients have issues they feel are not being resolved to their satisfaction, please do not hesitate to contact me direct at [protected] or rudd.lippincott@reply.com.

Reply.com fraudulent business practices in real estate leads

We were also promised valid leads with an easy way to be credited for invalid leads. Thus far Reply.com has ignored most of my credit requests and continued to charge our credit card after written cancellation. Their customer service people contradict each other, give incorrect information, and do absolutely nothing to follow up my many complaints. They have charged us almost $1000 in wrongful charges and do not respond to my complaints. The verbally stated credit and cancellation policy is not carried out once they have your credit card, and they deny making those promises. Please email me with your experiences and we can try to get a class action suit against these unscrupulous liars.

I would like to amend my complaint. When I contacted Rudd Lippincott using the contact info I found on these pages, he called me back immediately (after business hours!) and has assured me that some personnel changes at the company are improving their customer service, and he will be addressing my concerns right away. If Reply.com makes things right with us, I will definitely post that positive feedback here.

oh, . by the way. Reply.com things that by charging your credit cards, you will just give up and look the ther way and not bother with it. They play the odds that they charge 10 people, 4 will complain and get their money back and the rest will just give up. That is their policy.

Reply.com misrepresentation

Beware of this company calling to offer referrals The "referrals" are going out to several others to the point that it comes into my email as "spam". Upon contacting the persons, I find out that they are upset because they have been receiving so many phone calls. Usually the phone numbers are not in service or there is no answer. The information provided are not actual referrals.
After sharing my frustrations with this company, I found that there are several of my associates who have had to call their credit card companies and threaten with law suits to get the charges removed or stopped by this company.
BEWARE

Real estate referral company

I want to warn everyone about a company that is suppose to send you real estate referral contacts...buyers or sellers. The web company is REPLY.COM I strongly urge anyone considering to throw their money away to just reach around and throw it out the window. You will feel much better than giving your money to REPLY.COM. They will give you nothing but greef.

The issue goes even further than what I've been reading below: Since I was getting leads (1 valid out of 9, in retropect - some of which wanted to buy property for the price of a dog house), a colleague of mine signed up as well. Reply.com claims that you would 'own' a zip code exclusively, and leads will only be sent to you (if responded to in a timely manner). This is NOT the case! My colleague received several of the same names I was sent and one prospect told him that he was the 8th calling him regarding the request he'd made online.
This, in my book, is blatent proof of fraudulent behavior and deceptive practices. I think a class action is indeed in order. However, I do not understand the text listed at http://www.stop-reply.com/ -- it smells like settlement to me...

Dear "mkeller, "

I'm sorry to hear you've had a poor experience with Reply.com. We treat all complaints as a serious matter, but unfortunately, without knowing you who are, I'm unable to look at the history of your account. I would like to hear what happened and how we can make it right. Please contact me direct at [protected] or via email at rudd.lippincott@reply-corp.com, so I can provide a resolution.

I look forward to speaking with you.

I just spoke to Rudd Lippincot; apparently, the leads from Reply are not exclusive; they can't be sent to up to three agents in a zip code. Either way, I was led to believe by the sales pitch that I would 'own' a zip code exclusively. Reply will refund all money ($409 total) charged. I am impressed with Reply's/Rudd's responsiveness to customer issues.

Hello MAHomeSales,

I'm glad we were able to connect on the phone today. At a high level, we do not make any claims of offering exclusive leads or territories through the Reply! Real Estate program. This was an issue with a salesperson overstepping their boundaries, and it will be addressed. Thank you for providing feedback, and allowing me to resolve the issue.

I am not a person who comes to this site, so after getting totally frustrated, I "googled" Reply.com, Reply Realty, etc., and this site came up along with postings of many frustrated persons who had dealings with this company. I added this post to the others.

I have an attorney that I keep on retainer but was embarassed that I had fallen into this trap so began to question how this had happened? I believe it was the implication that this was a Real Estate companyproviding REFERRALS, so I went to DRE and checked out to see if this was indeed a licensed R.E. company in Ca. which it is.

After sending numerous emails to please stop sending the "referrals/leads" and this met with no results, I finally knew that it was time to take this matter to my attorney. When I told Reply that this was my intent, I finally was contacted by one of the "managers" and told him that I felt the program had been misrepresented by the employee who told me that this was a "REFERRAL" from a Real Estate Company. I explained that I was futher frustrated when I sent email to customer service that the "Referral" I had received (as a seller wishing to sell their property) did not even own property, the response from customer service was "keep working this, sometimes it takes 10 months to convert". HELLO~ what part about this person not OWNING the property was missed?
When I conveyed this to the manager who contacted me, he agreed that this should have never happened and agreed to remove all charges from my credit card which he did. He did ask that I remove the post from this site. I did agree that I would post that the charges have all been removed from my credit card.

Reply.com Reply.com Sending Unsolicited Email

For several weeks I have been receiving spam about "Vehicle Clearance Pricing" and as typical with spammers it is sent from one domain leading you to another domain all which do not have contact information and with private domain registrations.

I HAVE NEVER OPTED IN TO RECEIVE EMAIL FROM REPLY.COM.

I DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT OR PRIOR RELATIONSHIP WITH REPLY.COM

I finally located the true sender of this spam and called Payam Zamani - Founder, Chairman & CEO of Reply Inc. and left a message about his company's spamming practices.

Then I decided to do a search about complaints on reply.com and found this site. Reply.com is a spammer. They do not have a 100% OPT IN list they created, so they are not a real Internet marketing company. Their practices will alienate YOUR prospect leads you receive from Reply.com.

If you called me and said you replied to an offer on reply.com or any other domain and I did not, I would not only hang up on you, but I would tell you that you just lost a potential customer.

BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH REPLY.COM CONSIDER MY REACTION.

Develop your own email list. It is so simple and you will never have a complaint in a forum like this.

Reply.com is 100% certainly a spam company. I never signed for anything. I would give them one million dollars if they can prove that I signed up for their spam.

Mr. Podowski,

My name is Rudd Lippincott and I am the Director of Customer Relations at Reply.com. I have attempted to contact you multiple times both over the phone and through email. In hopes that you'll read this response and for the benefit of anyone else reading your complaint, I wanted to take a quick moment to address your concerns.

While we received a rather vulgar voicemail from you, we always do our best to address every complaint and yours is no exception. When we received your complaint, the first action we took was adding your email address to our suppression list. However, after doing so we were unable to find any previous records of your email address ever being in our system. There are a few email marketing companies that we have partnerships with, that send out marketing emails on our behalf. Given that you are also in the email marketing business, you are probably familiar with many of these companies. We reviewed our email databases that these companies have as well, and again we were unable to locate your email address or find any records of emails being sent to you through these companies.

In order to be absolutely certain that you no longer receive these emails, we need copies of the actual emails that you received. Please call or email me back so I can help you out ASAP. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Regards,
Rudd Lippincott
