a damaged cake
We ordered an engagement cake (A standard size) £70 worth with our names on it.
I was supposed to be great, we discussed its design with a representative, so we were very excited.
However, when we unpacked it, the cake was split into 4 pieces. Probably, not on purpose and it got damaged on its way to us, but it looked terrible and not that beautiful, of course. My fiance was terribly frustrated.
Going to ask for a refund, have no idea what to expect. But it's definitely can't be recommended to anyone,
Do not use this company, very unreliable
Ordered a cake from www.newcakes.co.uk for my sons birthday and it did not arrive on time. They promised to deliver it on a certain date but we actually received the cake only three days later.
The cake itself was ok, really tasty and looked great, but still they ruined my surprise and my child's birthday.
I also asked them to cancel my order but they refused and delivered it after all.
Terrible cake!
When I received the cake which I ordered from www.newcakes.co.uk, I was shocked! That was the ugliest cake I've ever seen, so I had to buy a simple one from a local store.
The one I ordered from NewCakes was a birthday surprise cake for my son and these guys ruined everything. Cake was damaged and already melted! I used this company because I was fooled with all the beautiful pictures and last but not least, NewCakes provided custom made cakes. But many details were missing and they did not follow all the instructions!
When I contacted their support they asked me to send them pictures which I did, and then I was told to be patient and that was the last thing I heard from them. They still have my money!

Cake didn't look the same as on the website and was inedible
We hope that someone will close this company. We have ordered a cake from www.newcakes.co.uk. We chose the cake from many of them, because it was so funny and nice. But the cake was delivered today and it didn’t look as it was on the website. We decided to taste it, but the taste was awful and completely inedible. We wanted to share our experience with other people. Because it wasn’t worth to waste money for these cakes.
Charged for cake which was never delivered and unable to arrange refund
I used newcakes.co.uk to order a cake for my daughters christening, ordering over a month before the day. I was charged at point of order but the cake never arrived. I had a text with a tracking number from the courier but it stated when checking online that it had not left the depot. I contacted the company to arranged a refund and it was difficult to get a response after many attempts. Finally advised they would refund me but this hasn't happened in a month and now unable to get a reply. I believe this company should be used with great caution as I am not convinced they are legitimate and highly suspicious as I have also recently had fraudulent transactions on the account I used.
their cake was nasty and looked terrible
Don’t deal with the company www.newcakes.co.uk. I have ordered Cars cake from the company, but it was awful. The car was crooked and looked awful and scary for my kid. As well as the cake wasn’t tasty and we haven’t eaten it. I posted bad reviews on the website and left them several voicemails, but they didn’t react to my complaints. Be careful with these people and better don’t buy from them.
They failed to make the birthday cake
I contacted the rep from www.newcakes.co.uk. I asked the rep that I needed cake for the kid’s birthday. He told me to contact him 2 days before the birthday. I contacted the rep 2 days before and ordered the cake. They took order and promised to make it within these days, but they failed and ignored my phone calls. All my experience was ###. The company is really unprofessional and not recommended. Share this info.
