i submitted a loan request and found that i didnt really need it so when paperwork came though to sign i just shredded it
knowing i havnt signed anything it wouldnt go any futher, how wrong was i a letter from my bank was sent to me saying there
was 2 direct debits missed and therefor was being fined 15 pounds each so i went online to bank and found 2 direct debits set up from loanfider.co.uk and creditxtra and had taken a total of 79 pounds out without my permission as i hadnt signed for anything or taken any! loan out ..contacted loanfinder.co.uk to which i had to send a letter to get money back and the reson they had taken the money was they ASSUMED i had taken the loan out ! and then they charged me a 5 pounds adim fee to get my money back !

took money from my account in may last year and have had no loan as yet.
so would like my £37.87p back into my account as i went to my bank yesturday at nationwide and they are getting it returned to my a
ccount in 48 hours time from yesturday.
they have even tried taking another amount of money out of my account in november and i ended up paying bank charges on that of £35.00 through insufficient funds in my account at the time.
now i live on disability living allowance and cannot afford these extortionate charges.

I've just discovered today that this same pack of vultures has direct debited almost £100 out of my bank over the last six months as a 'broker's fee' for a loan I didn't get. I rang them and said I was going to the Financial Services Ombudsman. They offered me a full refund within two weeks.

I've also been a victim of this. I hadn't checked the account I had used to 'sign up' for the service for over 6 months and I received a letter telling me I owed £145 to the bank because of a direct debit. This is disgraceful as, like many of you, I never confirmed the loan, or received any money. I'm trying to contact them but they don't have a phone number and emails are taking too long for them to get back to me. Disgusting.

Hi John,

My name's James and I work for Loanfinder. I was really sorry to stumble across your post. My job at Loanfinder is to make the experience of using Loanfinder as perfect as it can possibly be, so I'm sure you can understand how upset I am to hear that you're not satisfied with the service you've received.

Loanfinder is really simple: For using our service, you pay a fee directly to us on a date that you choose. We do the work to match you with the best lender for you before you pay, that way if you're not happy with the lender that we've found, you can just login, cancel your account and you never have to pay us. If you forget that you've set a payment and accidentally pay the service fee when you didn't mean to, simply contact me and I'll give you a refund of your fee without any fuss.

Please contact me directly on james.hicks@loanfinder.co.uk so that I can find out who you are and investigate your case properly.

Regards,

James

loan finder are really conning and coersing people out of heir hard earned money by lying to them. They tell you that there is no upfront fee but at the end of the day you will fid money taken out of your bank account. They promise that even if you have bad credit or CCJs they can get you a loan. They are fooling people! When you get back to them they ask you to do it writing. they claim that they are not lenders but brokers. But wait a minute> If thats the case why do they sound confident of getting someone a lone they would have asked for if they are not lenders.

I have had £8.99 taken from my account without my permission for over 6 months, I have emailed 4-5 times and heard nothing in response! The creditxtra/loanfinder company appear to be scamming a large number of people out of this amount...how can we get the amounts reinbursed and stpped?

Hi impexmine,

My name is Tim and I'm the Customer Care Team Manager at Loanfinder. I'm really sorry to read about your experience and wanted to help resolve your situation.

If you contact me directly on tim.plumbe@rgroup.co.uk, supplying some standard data protection details like full name, postcode and date of birth, I'll be able to look into your case personally, give you a full update on what's happened and most importantly issue you a full and immediate refund.

We have always operated a no quibble refund policy so getting any customer a refund is a really straight forward process once we receive direct contact.

Alternatively I can talk you through your specific lender if you are still looking for a loan.

Regards

Tim

similar happened to me, didnt take the loan and they started taking the repayments? i called up and why they had taken money out on such and such a date and the told me because that was the date i selected for my first repayment coming off, i explained i hadnt taken a loan and the said "yeah but that was the date you slected" i did get my refund eventually but minus the £5 admin charge. but now another £8.99 has been taken from my account by a company called CreditXtra which is still Loanfinder. Ive emailed to ask why but not heard back yet?
