I recently received a complaint letter from this company, it doesn't even look legitimate at all. They are giving me 15 days (well, less now) to remove something from my property. They state that it is a stripped motorhome. It is not stripped, there is nothing wrong with it, it has been used for storage. They state that it is causing a fire danger, there is no way that it can possibly cause any danger or cause a fire where it is located. It is not reducing the property value of my home, the gigantic windmills that were recently put up against the entire towns wishes are the only things detracting from property value. They say it will invite plundering. We have pirates here now? Where? It is not a nuisance, it is not causing anyone any damage, it is not an eyesore. There are properties here in town that are falling apart, literally, with overgrown weeds in the yard causing actual fire hazards. We want to be left alone. We have done nothing wrong and will not be bullied and harassed by anyone, especially some Nazi-type jerks who have in the past caused harm to others; http://articles.ivpressonline.com/2006-05-24/fps_24194729
This poor person nearly lost their home from continued harassment by these people and over something that he one, tried to fix, and two, didn't even entirely have to do with him or his property. For years he had to fight these people and their injustice. IF they think they can bully and harass me and my family, they are wrong. This is not a nuisance, it is not a fire hazard, it is none of anyone's business but ours, since we pay our property taxes, to have on our property what we want. This is our property and we have rights! I have been bullied, harassed, stepped on, threatened and hurt my entire life and it stops now. I will not be bullied anymore by anyone. Attached is a picture of the woman who sent me the letter demanding that we comply. If we do not comply within their time period (we have no way of complying, we have no money to get rid of something that belongs to us, that is our right to posses) they will come and take it off of our property, bill us, put a lien on our home, and we end up as screwed as the poor guy that nearly lost his home.
They recently got back to me through email stating that they would give us an extension till October to have it removed. I still do not see any reason to have it removed. It is in working, running order. The tires are flat and it needs a tune-up, but physically it is in great condition. It is not stripped at all. It was never registered as it belonged to the former owner and came with the property, but we have the paperwork for it. Why are we being forced to get rid of something that isn't broken, that isn't an eyesore, that poses no danger or fire risk to anyone? This company does not even sound like a legitimate one and we are still not even certain that they are a part of the county and have any right to do this to us. I am uncertain what my husband wishes to do by October, but I think this is completely ridiculous. How can it be an eyesore when we live on a street that sees maybe 3 cars drive by on a daily basis? No one lives in front of us, to the side of us, behind us, or next to the house opposite us. So whom would this be an eyesore to? Really? The property in front of us, that place is badly overgrown with weeds, the trailer is falling apart, there are a hundred things wrong with it. To say the least, I will not be letting this go on my own. I removed the picture of the woman because of my own reasons. But all of this, it just seems so ridiculous for us to be singled out. And especially for something there is nothing wrong with.
Why has this woman come back to our home? My husband saw her sitting in her vehicle on the road (blocking the road). When he tried to approach her and ask what she wanted, she drove off as soon as she saw him. So its perfectly ok for her to go around and make false claims, screw with peoples lives, but we aren't allowed to speak to her in person as to why she is back? Why she is harassing us further? She told us in an email we had till October, so she should be leaving us alone till then. She is not even from the county. HER company is a private company that probably doesn't even have anything to do with the county. This is sounding more and more like a scam. If she sends us another notice she will be getting a letter back from us. No county identification or part of the county, we are not associating with you. They are a private company, not part of the county. Plus they have received numerous complaints from citizens they have 'fined' because their yards don't look as good as they want. There is nothing wrong with the motorhome beyond the tires. Why should we be forced to get rid of it because this private company doesn't like it? What business is it of theirs, anyways? NONE.

I have cleared my 6-1/2 acre ranch annually for over 30 years
The San Miguel Fire District hired Fire Prevention Services to post my property - after I had already cleared it as I had for over 30 years
They posted a small corner in the S/E corner of my ranch to be cleared (that had never been cleared in the past - and with no problems)
I cleared the area they posted - and they proceeded to send some goons up to my ranch and clear a small area just outside the major area I had cleared (the same as in all previous years) and sent me a BILL for OVER $ 7, 100.00
There was never any indication that there were other areas they wanted cleared beyond the area posted ...
When I called the first thing out of their mouth was we made a mistake on the billing - without any hesitation.
They are now demanding in excess of $ 3, 550.00 which I WILL NOT PAY
This is an example of a "private company sent out by the government (fire department) and billing whatever they want
I know I am not alone on this one ...
