Registration papers not given
I purchased 2 yorkies from this breeder for a total of $10,000 four years ago. I was to show proof of neutering/spayed which I did and no response from her. She totally ignored my emails requesting the registration papers. Also, the yorkies where nothing like the pictures and information given.
Desired outcome: I would like my registration papers.
Yorkie breeder
Judy is not the type of breeder I would recommend to anyone! She said she won't answer questions or send any photos until she is given a $500 deposit. After I sent her a $500 deposit, she was still "too busy" to answer any questions or send photos. She even told me that photographing the dogs and puppies was too stressful for them. I believe a breeder should be available for potential owners who care enough to ask questions about their new pet and how well he/she is cared for in their first few months of life. Judy's puppies are priced very high - which is all the more reason I'd think she would be willing to correspond in a professional and timely manner. Although she has very cute dogs, I ended up choosing another breeder because there were way too many red flags with this woman!
scam
This lady, judy dostal, is a manipulative liar. She tries to take advantage of people by charging ridiculous prices for her sick puppies. And she is an evil scam artist. Do not buy anything from her!

I also forgot to add to my complaint that both yorkies are feces eaters...it is disgusting! One maybe but both of them? And I was also told they were pee pad trained...sure if they are locked in a kennel and you cover the bottom with pee pads! Took me months to train them ! I was told that the female would be between 3 and 4 lbs. She weighs almost TEN! What a rip off!
The photos are heavily photoshopped to make the faces look like tiny baby doll faces and the eyes large and
lower on the face, muzzle shorter.
If You are going to purchase please ask for a video because the one my friend bought looked nothing like the
photo she sent or like the parents.
I wish I would check this site before I put $1000. Deposit down,
She will not show the pups any other then photo and we were not comfortable to pay$ 7,000.00
For an unknown picture not confirm the weight by vet it is unfortunate now we lost the deposit.
So sorry to hear that you lost your deposit but believe me that you are better off getting a dog from some one who is reputable. Not only do many people believe this to be a puppy mill but she will not give you your registration papers. I purchased 2 dogs from her, sent her the proof of neutering/spayed MANY times as she never responded. I asked for them again only to put in the dogs scrapbook and she sent a lawyer on me. Like really? The puppies are got were nothing like she described and the cute little pictures were not the dogs I received. One of the mini yorkies I was told would be around 5 lbs. She is actually a 12 lb. yorkie...lol. They were both feces eaters which is normally a sign of an under nourished dog. We were told they were pee pad trained...lol. Sure if you kept them in a crate covered in pee pads they were sure to hit one at some point. We had a lot of bad habits to break them of when we got them so I think you will be much happier getting a well adjusted puppy from someone who actually cares about the dogs and not just the money.
Trust me we are not down with her we have retained a lawyer and wil be seeking damages as she lied has been caught doing so
We will let the law work in our favour
We’ll, Judy refunded our $1,000.00 deposit .
I just wish she had a better customer service .
Sadly I think this place is a puppy mill. I didn’t want to believe it and am horrified about it but my little boys parents are listed as Joyson & Maggie. When I sent in my registration papers my friend who works there told me that “joyson & maggie” Have tons of puppies listed I then went to fcs website and see comments and noticed that there are so many people who say they are also their babies parents as well. Or I google and see tons of sold puppies showing Maggie & joysons puppies. How many puppies has this poor Maggie had in her precious little lifetime? How much has her life been put in danger to exploit her for money. I just feel sick about this and can’t believe that I contributed to this just makes me want to cry
I am so disappointed and angered! I paid $10, 000...yes you are seeing correctly. Ten thousand dollars for a brother and sister “tiny teacup” yorkies. What a joke! Don’t get me wrong...I love my baby girl and boy...they are a year old now. But my “tiny teacup” looks like a wiener dog with a yorkies head! See photo...Judy is a scammer and a liar. Their coats are like wire...very course and will never have the soft coat like my little 13 year old. I purchased a yorkie from YorkieCastle in Ontario for $2500 and he is perfect. He is tiny, short legs, big eyes and beautiful coat...and he is 13 years old and the love of my life. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HER. THIS IS A BLATANT SCAM DIRECTED TO YORKIE LOVERS.
In October 2012 I adopted/purchased a little girl who was known as Cloe (now known as Precious) from FC's Precious Yorkies for $4500.00 CAD. According to discussions and paperwork, Cloe was born May 15, 2012 in Korea so she was just over 5 months old. YES, I did know she was from Korea and not from FC Precious Yorkie litter... before I finalized the adoption for her to join our family. I was told she was about 2 lbs at that time (a week before she joined our family) and expected to be between 3.5-4.5 lbs full grown but a stocky/sturdy build, had a bit of an eating issue where when you put food down she would devour it...not come up for air and eat as fast as she could until it was ALL gone, she followed the breeder around wanting to be with her and wanting attention and was quiet in nature. I picked Cloe (Precious) up at the airport on November 1, 2012 (about an hour long flight). She was very excited to meet her new mom and dad, she was/is adorable and showered us with lots of kisses. However, she was definately not 2 lbs...actually about 4 lbs at the time. As forewarned by FC's Precious Yorkies...she did have the eating issue and we had to work with her so she didn't devour all food in site! She was/is submissive, always wanting to please and cowards often. I'm convinced some of these qualities are the result of not having a great beginning in life - probably from a Korea Puppy Mill! I might add, I was specifically in search of a small puppy as I had adopted a younger yorkie from the US a couple of weeks earlier who was to be 3 - 4 lbs full grown. Peanut was then about 13 weeks old and 18 oz in size. When Cloe (Precious arrived) I was concerned with her being larger than expected as I didn't want Peanut getting hurt playing...Peanut is also very tiny boned/slight in nature. I did call Judy at some point to mention the size as not discussed and the reason I was willing to pay a high price was due to wanting a smaller puppy...actually as Precious grew I let her know she is much much larger than discussed as well - she is 9 - 9.5 lbs and certainly NOT fat at all...stocky/solid build! Judy didn't offer any kind of refund...she actually said "next time she would give me a discount" which I really didn't appreciate! So...for the good news, Cloe (Precious) IS a gentle little girl and since my wee Peanut (3.5 lbs) thinks she is a GRATE DANE in size...it has worked out. Peanut jumps on Precious back and rides her ...Precious just lets her (growls now and then but would never hurt a fly)! Precious is a very very loving girl and although we shower her with attention/belly rubs/treats/ etc...SPOIL her...she still cowards and is submissive...just her nature from earlier life. She couldn't be loved more! Another lesson...Peanut came from the US with Vet checked papers etc. We knew immediately that there was an issue...she wasn't standing on her back left leg. After many xrays and tests...she needed both back legs re-built. The breeder in the US didn't understand why we just didn't ship her back and then she would send us a new puppy...really! Once I picked her up at the airport...she was part of the family, she melted our hearts! We did get the $2200 US back for her but our vet bills for surgery/physiotherapy/drugs etc for the leg issues were $6000 CAD PLUS! So...I was disappointed with the dealings I had regarding both of my yorkie girls. LESSON LEARNED AND recommendation to readers...as much as I pray both my girls will be with me for many many years, if/when the time comes to adopt another little bundle of joy...I will ensure I read experiences online with breeders and actually spend time at the breeders with the puppies first. This was what I did years ago when I adopted my yorkie "Angel" and we got exactly what we wanted and paid for! Although there are never any guarantees, coveat emptor "Let the Buyer Beware"...do as much homework as possible to minimize issues. I'm Thankful for both Precious and Peanut...couldn't love them more and can't imagine life without my little girls! Blessed for sure!

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. You sound like a lovely lady and a very good yorkie Mom. Thank you for your advice on getting a Yorkie. I will follow your advice when I can afford to purchase another Yorkie and will not just be so trusting. Years ago I had adopted four Yorkies and they all arrived healthy and correct size. They lived to old age and were healthy and the joy of our lives. Enjoy Precious and Peanut they are lovely.
Dianne,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. You sound like a lovely lady and an excellent Yorkie Mom. I am so happy that you have two sweet little Yorkies, Precious and Peanut to love and share your life with. They do bring so much joy to our lives. I will follow your suggestions on purchasing a new puppy and not be so trusting the next time. Thank you so much for sharing your story.
I wish I would of read this I think the same was happening to me with a $1000. Deposit I wanted a puppy under 4lb which the puppy she said it would be perfect for me looked larger in photo and she refused to show me a video of him or seeing him in person then she demand full payment of $7000.00 before pick up.
Which I was not comfortable with a $7000.00 misters dog .
I also think the good reviews are being written by Judy Dostal herself. Read them and think about it. She is a dishonest liar! When I was corresponding with Judy during the process of purchasing my puppy I caught her in a lot of lies.
Judy is not writing the replies herself, I happen to have purchased the best dog of my life there and have seen/watched these purchasers/new moms over the years, they exist. Judy does not photoshop, puppies change color and features as they grow up, you cant expect a 3 month old puppy to look like a new born or a 6 month old puppy to look like a 3 month or 1 year dog to look like when it was a puppy and yorkies go through silver/black color changes its all of them. Also any health issues are true to the Breed itself, not her puppies alone. You are either a jealous breeder or you are ignorant uneducated about yorkies.
you all also mention sick puppies ...but not specific to your own, so you are gossiping about stuff you don't even know
Yes Judy you do all of the above and you are a scam artist
I totally agree with Teaa .In August 2017 I purchased a Yorkie puppy from Judy Dostal and she was supposed to be 2 1/2 lb. when reaching her adult weight. She arrived six weeks later than promised and was a very big Yorkie Puppy. Her tail was not even docked and when I complained about that Judy added " tail not docked " to her past puppy listing. I paid for a 2 1/2 lb. puppy and she was $$$$$$$$ I had to rehome the puppy because of her large size. Judy is a thief and liar. Now because I spent so much money for this puppy from Judy I will never again afford to buy a tiny Yorkie. My money is gone for nothing but to line Judy Dostal's pockets. Ladies save yourself heartbreak and do not buy from Judy Dostal . Judy is dishonest. I am 74 years old and this is what she did to me. I hope this saves someone else from buying a puppy from her and being cheated out of their money.
ROnnie I apologise for my snarkiness in my first reply to you. But-You never have to re-home a dog because of its weight unless it is over 30 or 40 lbs and some places don't allow bigger dogs. But I've never seen a Yorkie that big. I get that you feel jipped because you paid for a tiny dog and got a small dog instead. But to "not" want the dog because of size..to the point you rehomed her? That says you really don't want a dog that badly. I've had several Yorkies. My last one- the third I have bought- was supposed to be 2.5 lbs grown and because he was 16 oz at 10 weeks old- that is pretty much what all growth charts predicted, He is now a healthy and happy 5.5 lbs and we love every oz of him. But we only paid $1000. SO I have some advice- 1- get a puppy you can afford- and you need to factor in vet visits, teeth cleanings and other expenses you will run into. 2- do your research. Learn how to spot the right ear set, top line, face etc. GO SEE THE PUPPY AT THE BREEDERS! Look at the environment, meet the parents, weight the puppy and compare its weight and age on a chart- but also be aware that some dogs stop growing at 12 week others can keep on going to 18 months BE PREPARED FOR EITHER EVENTUALITY and 3- pick your puppy up in person- even if it means you FLY to get the dog. You can also see if the dew claws are gone or the tail is docked at this point- but be aware that in some countries IE CANADA- they have different laws about cosmetic alterations on puppies from the US and if is your responsibility to know what these are. FInd a vet in the area ( NOT the BREEDERS vet!) and take the puppy to the vet for a checkup before final purchase. Any breeder worth their salt- will be OK with this. And if they are not- move on to one that is. Know what you want, know what it is/looks like when you see it and don't allow a tiny animal to be shipped to you sight unseen- especially for that kind of money. I can recommend ACK breeders of Merit with dozens of show dogs in their line- whose animals are all DNA tested to be free of the shunts, and other common problems common in Yorkies. My second little girl is a 3.5 GORGEOUS baby girl and we got her for 1400 plus the cost of flying in to pick her up. MY vet said she was the most gorgeous Yorkie he'd ever seen and she looks just like her Daddy- a champion! As I said- I don't know Judy, but if she is buying Korean dogs she is reselling unknown entities and most likely supporting puppy farms in Korea. They breed the dogs to be small... and they don't give a damn if they are healthy or not. ANd they also have a terrible reputation for faking paperwork to make sick dogs look healthy and younger dogs seem older( so the weights are misleading) SO BUYER BEWARE! Trust me.. small dogs are so cute, , but when you fall in love with one and then have to suffer through health problems or a shorter lifespan due to bad breeding- you will wish you'd gotten a healthier dog even if it does weigh a lb or 2 more. I would have given ANY amount to have kept my little 3 lb baby Chanel more than the 12 years we had together.
Honestly she was not the size they say, I have a photo of them with their new puppy at the airport you can see how beautiful she is and tiny ! they received her at almost 5 months due to nanny issues but finally out nanny got time to go, I kept her sister and she was the biggest in the litter she is only 31/2 lbs they only assumed she was gong to get bigger. This line does not grow much at all after 5 months. I would do anything to get Princess back ! I loved this dog she was gorgeous ! Sharon E Darsky I want my Princess back please ! please get in touch with us you had no right to give her away.
Its funny how you normally only see negative comments... I have a couple of puppies from Judy and they are perfect...in my eyes anyway.
Even have one that she retired...he is adorable...my Mister Kibble and Bits...
She has always been available to me, very kind, professional and open about her puppies.
Regarding tail docking...B.C. veterinarians ban cosmetic tail docking for dogs, horses...
Regarding papers, most breeders do not give them unless you purchase the puppy for breeding, which in many cases can cost a lot more..
With that being said, I am not a breeder and I have received papers on my puppies after being neutered or spayed...
Like any other living breathing creature you can look at the history of the person or animal and give a very close guess but truly and seriously no one really knows how small or big you will be..
I in the past had 2 puppies from friends of mine that are breeders and lost both...one 4 years after liver shunt surgery and the second to Meningoencephalitis...I truly believe they would never of sold the puppies to me if they had known..both had a clear bill of health when we received them..no one really knows...
But we do know that liver shunts is a disease known to yorkies...along with other small breeds.
When dealing with a breeder and your not sure of this person ask for references.
All upstanding and professional breeders will openly redirect you to them or have them contact you..
If I was asked today about Judy I would not hesitate to recommend her and her puppies and would most certainly purchase from her again without hesitation...
Thank you very much Donna, some people are just happy knocking others down, they do not realize that we are people too with family and feelings, its shocking to see how much the storys are changed when told here. such a shame.
Again Judy you need to stop disguising yourself as someone else to give yourself good reviews.
I think the lady is correct . I have caught Judy Dostal in so many lies. The nanny flew with my puppy from Judy Dostal on Aug.28, 2017. That was 6 weeks after puppy was paid for and three promise dates broken. I did not receive the tiny puppy I paid for this dog weighs 2lb 12 oz at 4 months. The worst part is her tail was never docked and her dew claws never removed. When I wrote to Judy for these reasons we had to send her back, she said she would not take her back. When I said she would hear from my lawyer she changed her tune and said I could send her back but could not get my money back but could get a replacement puppy. I won't do that as I know she will have the puppy and keep my money. Then after I complained about the tail she quickly added TAIL NOT DOCKED on her description of the puppy. When I wrote she said I should have asked if the tail was docked. Why would a good breeder not dock the tail! I never seen a Quality or any other Yorkie with a long tail. I cannot even rehome her because of the tail.
Sometimes lap nanny's get delays and can't make the dates we try to plan for with hand delivery this is out of my control, we would love to get your puppies to you as quickly as we can when they are ready.
75% of breeders no longer dock tails so you are wrong. We normally dock our babies tails but she was extremely tiny at birth so we did not want to put her threw this torture for cosmetic reasons. We do not remove due claws, these things should have been asked prior to purchasing our baby. My heart is broken over this how you just get rid of her...your wife said you were happy until she ate her stool then you did not want her anymore. So sad I so hope I can find her and bring her home, I have purchased two dogs now and they have tails...they are beautiful with tails too.
Oh I forgot... vet bills... anyone buying any dog if any size first rule, research breed genetic breed standard health issues... second rule... they all have one kind or another, just like people, so get pet insurance just like you have health insurance. so if you were not smart enough to get health insurance on a dog you paid over $5000 for, then whos fault is your vet bills? again, liver shunts are a breed thing and so are trachea collapse even for full size 7 lbs yorkie and poodles and chihuahuas, going to be even more risk with smaller organs and tissues. so get pet insurance for any dog... and ask vet how to manage the health issues correctly so they dont get the siezures... if your dog is getting siezures, you are not feeding it properly. to say a dog cannot have any protein because of a liver shunt then your vet is an idiot, they cannot have red dark protein or pork because hard to process protein, but white fish white chicken and turkey are all safe proteins to digest with liver shunt, and don't give it anything with toxins like nitrates and msg people # or bad dog food, hypoglycemia same thing, feed it 5 times a day in small amounts, don't expect a picky yorkie at 3 lbs to eat enough to avoid hypoglycemia, that's your fault. would you buy a $5000 diamond ring and not get house insurance to cover it if you lost it but you get a live animal and don't get health insurance then blame judy for vet bills? this site is for idiots to dump with no warrant, no education or research on the breed and no education on how to manage breed health issues and no intelligence to get pet insurance, as for size or color, she is not a liar she estimates best she can and again, they are smaller and more adorable even if they end up slightly larger... as for pounds, that is partly your fault, you feeding it white protein and veges and dog food or pasta and potatoes and ravioli and too many fatty dog treats? since hypoglycemia is a risk with a dog too small you should be excited that your dog gained more weight or came out a little bigger, the less health issues, cant eat your cake and have it too.
