I worked for this debt collection agency and observed that this company is charging some debtors up to 50% interest, and charging interest for periods before they held the account. They also remove over-charges from the accounts, and do not refund the money to the debtors. They use questionable practices to obtain funds from debtors, and verbally abuse some of them, using strong arm tactics. They also promise medical insurance after 90 days, but as soon as you expect to receive it, you are terminated for some reason or another.

I am receiving calls from this company for a debt owed by a Charles Hill. They call my cell phone & are very rude. I have told them I don't know this Charles Hill and that I've had my phone 10 months. They claim not to call me, they claim it was not my number they called. I have the messages taped.

I did work, that's a laugh, for Empire Collection Authorities in the summer of 2009. Actually, I agreed to work by commission only.

After some very questionable dealings by the CEO of Empire Collection Authorities (Alonzo Cole aka "Ray Green") toward some folks who had agreed with me to pay a certain amount of their debts, I decided it was good riddance to be part of this company.

Alonzo Cole, the CEO, would get on the phone with debtors and use very "strong arm tactics." He actually chased away a couple of debtors whom I had contacted that had AGREED with me to pay something on their debt, with his very harsh, greedy and totally unprofessional attitude.

After I left, I had worked a total of 44 hours for Empire Collection Authorities. Mr. Alonzo Cole thought he would pay me only 10% of a debt I had actually collected upon, instead of OUR agreed terms that he pay me 20%.

That was absolutely enough ! I went through L & I here in the state of Washington and sought 44 hours of my labor at $8.67 an hour. After several weeks, I was paid that amount by check by Alonzo Cole.

I made sure I had documentation in writing of who I called and how many times I called, who I was working with to resolve debts, and the dates and times I was there in the office. ALWAYS DO THAT!

I see an ad now by a collection company in Aberdeen looking for collection representatives-stating medical insurance in 90 days. The person running the ad goes by the name of Zac. Is this the same outfit?
