DHL | DHL E Commerce | Cafe Press | Etsy review: dhl takes forever and then blames other carriers. 2

Every now and again, I'll see something unique I'd like to purchase online. This is usually through Cafe Press or Etsy...places like that. They give you the shipping options and delivery window but cleverly, they never say who the logistics company is. Normally, any domestic order in America is a 5 day maximum delivery time as "standard shipping" so you don't really think much about it. But then, when they've taken your money, and your looking at the final details, you find out it's DHL. This is nothing but a gigantic pisser. What's going to happen is (no matter where it's shipping from) is it's going to go past your state and then sit in Compton CA for a week or even two weeks until they finally decide to get it to a REAL logistics company and by the end of it all, it takes the damn package 3 weeks instead of the 5 days max it should have taken. Look at my uploaded photo. It's rediculous for something to take that long, only to have it passed to a REAL shipping company and have their normal shipping times added. I am now avoiding doing business through Cafe Press or Etsy as a result. I try to support small business but I'm just sick of DHL ruining my experience. Maybe since they're normally an international carrier, they just assume we don't have any other choices like in the commie or socialist countries they operate in. I mean, after all, nobody expects results in those countries anyway as has been their socially engineered expectation and experience. That's just not going to fly here in America where UPS, Fed Ex, or even the slow clumsy hand of governments own USPS will get it to you in what is and should be a reasonable time. The item in the tracking screen shot was ordered back in the middle of May. While I understand the company shipping it may have a bit of lag time getting it to the shipping company, you can see the tracking steps are just rediculous. I'll need to know from companies like Cafe Press that DHL will not be in the equation from now on if I ever give them another chance. It especially sucks when it's a Birthday gift, etc. because you know it won't get there on time. Of course this realization occurs after the transaction was finalized.
