Dakota Waterbeds / &Warranty& review: Warranty Scam 2

Was sold a "Lifetime Warranty" on this new heater for an additional $20 ($99 vs. $79) and found to my dismay that the "warranty" only brought the price of the heater down to what the competition sells it for anyway (after the factory warranty expires). Oh yes - they throw in a couple of bottles of worthless "waterbed conditioner" if you spring for the scam warranty - probably to get around legal issues of the scam.

Anyways, to add insult to injury, the heater thermostat was faulty from the get-go and the manufacturer's warranty clearly states that claims should be directed to the distribuitor. You guessed it - he ("Steve") said he doesn't make them and I had to deal with the manufacturer. Didn't even stand behind the product after selling the supposed warranty. Apparently the business model doesn't include repeat business!

Update to the posting above about the Queens tubes. I spoke with the owner Steve and he is going to take care of my problem. Like he stated that the waterbed I have is over 17 years old and the make of those tubes was one of the best tube makers. Now, the tubes are smaller and less expensive. So, he still had the original tubes from Polcor company. I just luck out with a company really does care about it's customer. And, before you believe everything you read here about (MY Waterbed Shop ) give Steve a chance to help you. I for one customer believe he is out only to do the best job he can for his customers...
To: Steve Thanks for all your help with my waterbed problem my wife and I both appreciate all you help.

I also purchase a set of waterbed tubs from ( My Waterbed Shop) from the following address 3505 S. Phillsberry Ave Sioux Falls, SD 57103. The tubes were for a Queen size bed. I have no ideal what these tubes went to they both were short by 7" and the wide was to short by 2" and the height was to also to small.
I think the guys in shipping warehouse weren't paying attention and sent Twin size tubes instead of the Queen size that my order was for.
