They have charged $12.95 a month out of my checking account for the past two months. I DON'T WANT A CREDIT REPORT SERVICE! Just looked into free credit report to see what was entailed, and all of the sudden they are taking out money every month. Don't need it..don't want it. How do we get rid of them?

I was charged 11.95 on my card and the account wasn't even in my name! What's up with that? Where did they get my card info?

For the last 2 months we have been getting charged on our credit card for $12.00. I've been trying to find out if on or both of us knew anything about this charge we both had no clue. Tonight my wife looked up CIC Advantage and found out of all the complaints on this freecreditreport.com. Now I know where this is coming from. I'm sure I had no idea about this. Now I see what a scam this is. Inspite of the cute commericals on TV about this DON'T GET INVOLVED, unless you intend to pay for this service every month on your credit card. BE A WARE VERY AWARE. Another couple dupped.

My story is a little different. I was using the service for awhile however, I called to have it cancelled months ago. I hadn't checked my credit cards bills until today and I noticed I was still being charged. I called [protected] to have the service cancelled. They cancelled the service and I requested a refund for the most recent month and back months. At first, the woman on the phone was reluctant to give me a refund however, I asked to have my last phone call pulled b/c I was confident I had cancelled the service. After waiting on hold a couple of minutes they refunded me for 5 months of service. I've learned my lesson!

I just saw the I was charged $14.95 on my statement. Don't even know where and how I should have canceled the free trial. Now I have to call the bank to stop this charge. Anybody knows how else I can have this thing over with?

I also had an "account" with them. I was, however, able to cancel. I just called the telephone number that appeared on my creditcard they were charging every month. I was irritated by their services, though. You pay money per month to view your credit report, but when you logged in to view it, they wanted more money. I don't get it. All I got was an email once in a while stating who was running my credit report, not the actual credit report. What a scam...

I just noticed this charge on my account last night. I called the number above for freecreditreport.com [protected] and pressed 1 for cancellations. The girl on the phone tried very hard to sell me the credit monitoring just like some of the above posts.

I requested a refund and told them (1) I saw this charge on my account yesterday (2) I've never used the service and (3) I only viewed and printed my credit score once. They said they don't do refunds, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I had to wait on hold for a few minutes, but when she returned she said her supervisor had refunded the charges and the refund should appear on my credit card within 7-10 days.

Thank you for the info. I had same scam attack. 14.95 a month for 2 monthes.
the girl who I talked to was speaking so fast I had hard time understanding what she was trying to say, so I asked her to speak slowly, and it turned out the she was trying to sell the same service again to me when I called to cancel. I said no, then she tries to convince me to allow her to check my credit report again because there maybe changes to it. I do not know, but if I have said yes, then they may have signed me up again for the new account or something. I had to tell her I am not interested in repeatedly and also had to ask her to cancel the account again and again. this must be illegal, if not, it should be!

They have charged me $15.00. I called to have the charge removed and they said I signed up for credit monitoring. They will not refund the money and after being very nice and simply requesting to speak to a manager I was hung up on. He said "NO. Click".

I found a charge of 14.95 on my credit card. No authorization was given to anyone for this charge. I do not give permission because I do not want your service or report. Please respond!

I experienced the same thing. I called the number listed here after "googling" the company name listed on my credit card. I called, cancelled the "account, " asked for a confirmation letter that the account had been cancelled, asked for the name and ID number of the individual I was speaking to and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. I notified them that I was very disappointed and upset by their unethical business means and false advertising, that I had every intention of contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General, and spreading the news of my experience via word or mouth to everyone I knew, and that I am in a prominent enough position that it will affect there business. I recommend that anyone experiencing the same situation follow these steps as well. The news and telecasts are a good idea also.

I too got a charge $14.95 from free credit report.com. I have mailed them about it. Waiting for their reply.
By the way will they credit the amount back to our account?

I thought that my husband and I were getting the free credit report. We followed everything that they said to do in the online application and it said several times that they would not charge our credit cards that it was FREE! Well on our next months credit card bills we both had a $40.00 charge. I called and they said that we received all of the 3 credit reports which we did not and that they would not refund our money. So I was agrevated and was telling them that I didn't authorize these charges and the lady hung up on me twice. So the last time I called I asked for their mail address so I can turn them into the BBB.

I called the number & cancelled after going through a lot of BS. My bank has suggested I also get a new check card to prevent this thieving company from doing it again. You can believe I'm going to the bank tomorrow to arrange for just that. I'm not convinced this outlaw group is not going to try to rob my account again.

The same thing happened to me, but when I called to dispute it they said that they couldn't see the charge in their database, and that I am going to have to send in a copy of my account info as proof that the charge went through. This is just BS.

I had the same problem with this CIC company. The catch is that when you sign up to receive your credit report, there is a message that pops up regarding credit monitoring and CIC. I didn't ask for this service either, but was being billed for it every month as well. I called my bank and they had given me the number to the company. I called the company and cancelled the service. You all may have to do the same. Unfortunately, I didn't save the number, but if you call you bank, they should be able to give you the number to CIC. I hope this has somewhat helped someone.

For the months of April, I have received unauthorized credit card charges of $12.95 per month. I ordered a "Free Credit Report" and typed in my credit card number thinking that this was going to show something about my credit, however I have been charged the 12.95 per month since I ordered the report. So I would NEVER enter my credit card on any site when you are ordering a "Free Credit Report" I will like to get 12.95
thank you

###! i just saw on my bank account a 14 dollar charge for cic triple advantage so i googled it and i see this webpage with all the complaints for free credit report .com and ### im so pissed off right now. excuse the language, but thats not right. they said there is a 30 day trial period, but when i called up to cancel because i did it just over a week ago, the lady on the phone said i had a 7 day free trial before i got charged, so i dont know how the hell they change from 30 day trial to 7 day trial but thats not right at all. i want to take some kind of action to get my money back, i mean its only 15 bucks but still i dont want to lose it to them they scammed me!

I cancelled, but then another charge appeared on my statement. I called back. The operator said that the previous operator accidentally reactivated my account immediately after she cancelled it. She agreed to cancel it again, but said that the additional charge was non-refundable. I insisted that she remove it, having already admitted it was a mistaken charge, but she refused. I demanded to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold purportedly to talk to her supervisor. When she came back, she said her supervisor authorized her to remove the charge. I have a feeling the charge will not be removed and that additional charges will appear next month...
