CIC Triple Advantage Credit Report unauthorized credit card transaction

I do not recall or know the website;however, I checked transactions on my card and it showed on 11/22/08 a CIC CE Report transaction was charged to my card without my consent. It also look like they tried before the 11/22/08 on 11/4/08 to do a transaction and funds were not there. I repeat: " I did not give this card authorization to do anytype of transaction on my card". Please if possible get me assistance or suggest what should be done ASAP!

I was charged 14.95 to my account. I did sign up, but I never confirmed the account and they went ahead and charged me even though my account was never activated. It's strange that you've never been there, but you're best bet is to just play along like you did.

Here's what you do:

Call [protected] and opt for the cancel option. Give the rep your name and the credit card number that they billed. They'll try and offer you a chance to keep your account that is assumingly there and view your report. Just tell them you want to cancel the account so you aren't billed again. They may or may not offer a refund (A lot of people complain they don't, but they did refund me.) but you'll at least be exempted from future billings if all goes through like they promised.

CIC Triple Advantage Credit Report Unscrupulous company activities

CIC CE Credit Report: This company is the same as "FreeCreditReport.com". It appears that when you signed in for their "FREE" credit report, you get a free report from just one of the bureaus (Experian). It also appears that this company is closely related to Experian. It's supposed to be free, but to get your report from the other 2 bureaus, you have to pay $24. Unknowingly, the company automatically signs you up for a trial credit reporting service. If you don't cancel it by the deadline (7 days), your credit card will automatically be charged $14.95 each month for this service. When you call them on the phone to cancel [protected]), you're told that you agreed to this service because you did not cancel in time and you will not be refunded even if you cancel your service. I will never do business with this company again and neither will anyone I know... EVER!

I received a letter in the mail from this company. I checked the website and they needed my credit card info to proceed. I quickly learned that it was a scam operation. I called the company back using the number provided. I talked with a young man who sounded illegitimate. He told me that he would not charge my credit card for this service. However 3 weeks later i was billed 12 dollars. If i had the number i would post it for you but try calling this number18003888725. This company is using illegal procedures to scam us. WE WILL WORK TOGETHER AND WE WILL BRING THEM TO COURT! THIS COMPANY IS OPERATING ILLEGALLY! LETS GET OUR MONEY BACK!

I was charged 14.95 on my card. I don't even know who they are. I'd like to know who they think they are and how I get my money back, although I know I'm probabley screwed.

I know a lot of people are being scammed this way and don't even know where to start to fix this issue. I have called the company's phone number 3 times to cancel and still i am being charged. This is an outrage and frankly is absurd that is hasn't been taken care of after all the people they have ripped off. If anyone has an idea to go after this company please let me know. My phone number is [protected] and ask for Joe or leave a message and i will get back to you asap.

The exact same thing happened to me, and the company is Experian, also known by their sleazier name FreeCreditReport. If you attempted to sign up for a free annual credit report through them, even if you did so through the government's website annualcreditreport.com, this probably happened to you. What they do is sign you up for a trial period subscription to "Triple Protection" without your knowledge, then, if you haven't unsubscribed from this service you don't know about, they send you the bill for $14.95 a month later, after "irreversibly" billing you for the next month - resulting in almost $30.

There's a lot of legal action against them at the moment for their actions, so hopefully this is resolved soon.

CIC Triple Advantage Credit Report Charging $12.95 a month out of checking account

They have charged $12.95 a month out of my checking account for the past two months. I DON'T WANT A CREDIT REPORT SERVICE! Just looked into free credit report to see what was entailed, and all of the sudden they are taking out money every month. Don't need it..don't want it. How do we get rid of them?

I tried this credit reporting agency, which stated that the service was free for 30 days, the company was notified 10 days prior to expiration was trial period. I was Debited $12.95 from my checking account with no approval by me, what plan of action is there for me to get my money back, this theft that this company has committed. Advise smb!

In an effort to clean up her credit my daughter signed up with Triple Advantage to get free credit reports. She did not register for any extra benefits and should but since that time has been getting monthly charges on her debit card. She has twice called the company to request that they stop charging her, they have agreed to do so each time, but continue to charge her account each month. This is the worst! Totally unfair to take advantage of people who are attempting to use their services to get their finances in order!

This company has been billing me since Feb. for services I didn't want. The phone# on my credit card shows up exactly as above [protected]) with 1 digit conveniently missing so I couldn't contact them. I think this company is ripping me and other people off.

I just noticed an unauthorized charge of $14.95 to my card and called the bank to reverse it. I see that many others have had this occur, but unlike some, I never signed up for a service or gave them my credit card number. I am somewhat disturbed by this, as I am unaware as to how they got my credit card info in the first place.

My wife had something similar happen with another company just within the last two weeks. I hope the economy hasn't kicked off a rash of bogus charges by unscrupuous companies on the unsuspecting public with the hopes that most won't notice. I will be checking my account daily from here on out.

When I signed up to receive my free credit report, I originally applied for the Triple advantage report. After I decided I did not want that service any back in February, they have continued to bill my checking account every month for $12.95. I would appreciate it if someone would check into this matter.

Thanks

I recently got charged also for the amount of $12.95 by FreeCredit Report.Com/CIC Triple Advantage for a service I never actually signed up for. A lot of people have been scammed for the same reason and the same complaint. But what I don't understand is how did this company got hold of all my bank details and VISA debit card number and charged me $12.95.

They have done the same thing to my fiance'. Lucky he caught it within 3 moths of the first charge. He called and cancelled and then raised a little hell until they refunded the last charge. Then he disputed the other 2 moths with his credit card company. I found it funny that when he gave the name on the statement to the costomer rep. she immediatly knew it was free credit report. com, without even looking it up on the computer! She immediatly refunded the other 2 months and blocked CIC from charging him again. Looks like Bank of America has dealt with them before...and I wouldn't be surprised if they have sued CIC. My fiance' did some checking on the net and found that there are lawsuits against CIC in 6 different states already! I just want everyone to know that if you stay persistant with CIC and your credit card company, you can get ALL of your money back.
