Aspire Visa / account dispute

I called their customer service today to get a new card, as mine had just expired. Nobody, including the supervisor, was able to access my card information and I was told my account had been purged from the system due to inactivity for over 90 days (the balance was paid off a few years ago). I had received no letter informing me of this, and wouldn't you know it, I am able to access my account information both online and via their telephone account status information, and as far as I can tell, the account is open. I am at a loss as to what to do next, as I am now the proud owner of an account in limbo.

    I guess they forgot to tell you they are closing all Aspire accounts?
    Its been on all the complaint boards and the news. Google it

    they are shutting down completely
