Salute Credit Card and Tribute Credit Cardfraud

Salute credit card has gone out of business, I have continued to pay monthly, my limit was 500.00 and after paying this card off, they have now put a "balance transfer" from Atlanta Georgia, something i know nothing about and brought my balance again up to over 400.00, when I should owe nothing! Tribute card, has done the same, and they both say that if I wish to "opt out"of this balance transfer, I have to write to Georgia. Neither card are useable, they both have closed without notice and between the two of them have ripped me off for close to a thousand dollars now...

      I haven't been able to use my credit card (Tribute) in over 2 years yet they charge me a $10 service fee and $10 interest.. I have been sending them $35 a month and now this is going on my credit report as $35 charge offs. As far as I'm concerned I've already probably paid them more than triple on the original $200 in credit I was given. I would really like to sue them if I can. Katherine M. Kuczmarski

      agree with Bell, Michael. I had salute for about 4 months then received out of the blue that the card was being cancelled was current with payments and paid more than minimum each of the months I had the card. Contacted Salute and was told no reason necessary to cancel. Had been paying balance over internet when I attempted the following month to post payment website was locked to me, told to contact customer service that was a laugh, was told they did not have the records anymore that they were all turned over to an Attorney for collection. Requested statement of what was supposedly owed, inform they did not have them either. Did not hear a thing from them for almost 6 months then got call from a law firm, SCOTT LOWERY LAW, said they represented Salute, requested them to send statement received same answer as I got from Salute, they did not have those records. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS. IS THIS JUST A CASE OF TRYING TO FRAUD, WAS TOLD NOT TO PAY UNTIL STATEMENT AND PROOF WAS FORWARDED TO ME.

      the only thing you can do, is take it in the cazoo, i paid there crappy card off . They owe me the 90.00 annual fee that I paid 1 month before they claim to be belly up . THIS IS A SCAM F=== THE LITTLE GUY!!!

      I have Tribute and a few months ago they transfered my balance and sent a new card with a new acount number. No transfer fee was applied, I figured maybe regrouping. Today I get a letter my account is closed and( I see on the Internet alot of people are getting the same) I will get another new account number to use to pay off my bill. What is up with this? Is there something illegal going on here? Has the Bank found a way to get Gov. Help, take the Funds, and then close out all the Credit Cards ? And since they CLOSED my account I feel I should not be billed any more monthly fees, account fees, etc. Just interest and principal, after all they closed it. I was never late and paid over the due amount. I did notice there was a difference in the Up to date amount due per their website, and what was on the paper billing. The difference was next months fees. All of us should take a stand about all these fees after they closed the accounts. Since I cannot charge, then this Texan says they can"t charge amounts to it either. Feedback?
