I received a rude phone call from a credit reporting agency today. They informed me that I had a "bill oustanding" I later learned that the bill was the result of a tenant in a building I own, who left the unit without paying their bill. The bill was tranferred to my "landlord" account without my knowing. The address and phone number on that account was established in early 2007, and both are no longer essence, your company did not present the bill to me and therefore I had no way of knowing it existed. Yet, I was informed by one of your rude staff members that there would be negative information placed on my credit report. Worse yet, I was transferred to a number to perform "Easy Pay"? and the automated system required that I verify the zip code on the account. I attempted this repeatedly, and am still unable to pay the bill I knew nothing about until today. This needs to be fixed on your end, and the credit agencies need to be notified.
