I was a member of the 168 Club for a LONG time, from back when you had to pay $35 "membership fees" for every $2000 of equipment you bought from them. I bought well over $10, 000 of equipment. Sales people were friendly, helpful, and fairly knowledgeable. Tech Support people ranged from very good to ones that probably had problems spelling their own names (but most were fairly knowledgeable). Their prices at one time were the best you could find. For awhile now, though, their prices haven't been very competitive. Selection and quality of product have always been very high. I had problems with a few items but they always replaced them quickly and without hassles. The 168 Club was (and hopefully still is) a member of their local Better Business Bureau. The main reason I don't still buy from them (besides their prices) is that I couldn't count on their packages being sent as requested. I NEED to have packages either sent by some other company than UPS OR I need them to be sent without "Adult Signature Required" on them. The 168 Club promised several times to do that and consistently failed. After lots of promises to do better in the future, which they never carried through on, and a couple of refunds of shipping costs I finally had to find another company to buy from. If you can accept their default shipping conditions, though, you probably won't have any problems with the 168 Club (although you can still beat their prices).
