Clay Cooley Hyundai of Dallas is conducting deceptive, unethical, and potentially discriminatory business practices that caused me significant emotional distress and financial inconvenience as a serious, pre-approved then confirmed approved customer.

On Oct 16, 2025, I was told by a sales guy (provide name when I get a response) that I was approved for financing with a co-signer, with zero down and an affordable monthly payment between $350–$400, depending on the vehicle. I spent over a week communicating with the salesperson, providing all requested information, and trusting the process based on their repeated assurances that I was approved under those exact terms.
However, when it came time to finalize the purchase, I was suddenly told that the only way the deal could go through was to completely remove me from the loan and place the vehicle in my co-signer’s name only. This was never discussed or agreed upon, and it completely contradicted everything I had been told throughout the process.
To make matters worse, they then claimed my payment would be $849 a month—more than double what was discussed—and refused to show me any used vehicles or explore more affordable options. The staff made it clear they were only interested in selling me a brand-new vehicle and dismissed me entirely when I asked to see pre-owned models. After all the time and effort, I invested, they acted as if losing me as a customer didn’t matter.
The experience left me feeling manipulated, misled, and discriminated against. Both the salesperson and finance manager left me feeling uncomfortable and disregarded in a way that seemed rooted in bias. Whether intentional or not, the treatment I received was unprofessional and deeply disappointing.
I believe Clay Cooley Hyundai of Dallas misrepresented financing terms, engaged in bait-and-switch tactics, and showed discriminatory behavior toward me as a customer.
