Christmas Tree Shops — product clearly marked as is - there were signs all over the store 75% off all as is products.
Date: 8/05/19, Christmas tree shop # 7027, I was shopping your store during the annual clearance event. I was looking for items for my daughters new apartment and i look very closely at all items on sale, then i came to a sign on a fixture that said as is are 75% off on items marked as is. some had missing parts like a head earphone set that said as is and the date it was damaged. I ended up purchasing that item. I looked around the store for similar items and found a swing on its own stand . it had a sign near it that said 249.00 and i thought it was really nice so i looked at the tags on it to see if the cushion came with it and at the top of the swing had a hanging tag that had a sticker that said as is and the date it was marked damaged so i went to the front of the store and asked an associate about the as is items and are they really 75% off the original price and she said the signs were correct. so i went back to the swing and picked up the price tag and took an associate to the swing he came with me and saw the as is sticker and asked me to wait a moment and went to get his manager and she said it should never have been marked that way and proceed to take the as is yellow sticker off the tag and that they still had 3 swings available for the full price and i told her that she had to honor the amount on the tag and she said she would not because there was nothing wrong with the swing which she never inspected for any kind of damage. i did not want to make a sean in the store so i waited up front while i was cashing out that i had been a store manager for 16 years and if a product was marked as such they had to honor that price. i spent 226.00 dollars in that store . i was very upset and at that point just wanted to leave. I have not gone back to that store since. I just feel I was not treated fairly and wanted someone to know. I was very tempted to return all of purchase but I love the christmas tree shop and have never had an issue or treated unfair until now. I will never return to that store and if by chance i receive no reply to this complaint I will surely use other means of reaching out.Thank you for your time.
