I had a very unprofessional experience with Heena Pitchaikani with Inpatient Social Work. She had sent my Dad who was recently hospitalized some Power of Attorney Paperwork. As I was filling it out I realized I didnt fully understand if we needed a certain person to sign as the witness and also where I was to turn in the paperwork once finished. I called and left a message Friday August 29th. She had not returned my call by September 8th so I called and left another message. She did return my call this time. I asked her my questions and she was very rude to me. She stated to me in a tone as if I were a complete idiot "thr information is in the letter I sent you." I told her we'd never been through this before and I dodnt understand even after reading the paperwork. She again repeated the above statement in the same brash tone and remained silent offering no further explanation or help. I ended up hanging up very hurt and confused as to why a patient advocate would treat me this way for having a simple question. Is it not her job to help walk people going through a health crisis through the paperwork that she personally sent them, even if I were an idiot? She was just very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful and I really don't appreciate being treated this way when I was nothing but kind professional and polite in both my messages to her and during the phone call itself. I am concerned with how she is treating people seeking her help in this position and I feel it was a completely inappropriate response.
Desired outcome: I would just like for her behavior to be addressed and her to be made aware that her demeanor matters in this line of work. She should be helping people as a patient advocate, not telling them in a rude tone its in the paperwork.
