Upon checkout, the request was made to price match a specific product that qualified under the Michael's price match policy. However speaking with the cashier as well as other store associates who reiterated that they do not have a price match policy and that it does not qualify in store. Although the signage is posted outside and within the store about price guarantee it required a request for a manager to rectify the situation. The unnecessary attitude received from the associates for something that could have been handled appropriately through search of the online website, or awaiting for clarification from management staff as opposed to conversation amongst themselves and attitude once price match approved.
Desired outcome: Appropriate training for employees, reminder huddles regarding company policy.
