Lastman's Bad Boy - Solid gold warranty on sofa

I purchased a sofa from badboy in Kitchener on August 24, 2018. I purchased a 5 year solid gold warranty from them for the sofa
In August 2022 I noticed the back pillows were pulling away from the sofa causing two holes. I filed a complaint through the solid gold warranty
The claim was denied, stating I should have contacted them earlier as the holes were too big
On January 25th, 2023 I noticed threads coming loose and another small hole in a third back pillow
I again submitted a complaint through the solid gold warranty. I was told that it was regular wear and tear and was not covered
Even though the hole is coming apart at a seam and the threads are loose from a seam. Their contract states that fabric seams are covered.
When I sent clearer pictures of the pillow and stated the terms of their warranty i was again denied stating my complaints were “accumulative and were not covered. The pictures that were re sent were of the samf pillow
Badboy does not want to stand by their product or their warranty. A couch should not be tearing apart from the back

Desired outcome: Have sofa repaired

I urge everyone DO NOT buy anything at Lastman Badboy. They sell inferior products and force you to buy what they call "no questions asked - Gold Warranty" which they DO NOT honor. Once you pay they money, they ignore you. The worse customer service and products you can buy. I do not know how this company still operates in Canada. Someone has to do something. If no one does anything, it is up to the general public to stop purchasing from this company. What an embarrassment for the late Mr. Mel Lastman.

Lastman's Bad Boy - Incomplete order

My family recently ordered a bedroom set for my daughter – she just turned 3, and a “big girl bed” was my promise to her for her birthday.

Unfortunately, Lastman's Bad Boy sold us a bedroom set that is missing key components, specifically the bed frame. We were told it would take two weeks for the frame and now, over four weeks later, we’re being told an additional three months.

I think most people would agree that this is unacceptable customer service.

Telling someone two weeks and then changing it to four months is ridiculous. What’s more concerning is the lack of support we’ve received. The customer service person I spoke with on Monday refused to help me escalate my concerns to a manager. I was only given a generic email address to contact, and my subsequent email has since been ignored.

Despite my frustration, I have only tried to show respect to their team. I’ll admit that my previous email showed my frustration, but it was justifiable – I don’t like breaking promises to my kids.

I’m sure there is a way to make this right – we’re open to several options, but my daughter going without a proper bed for three months isn’t one of them. However, we haven't heard back from anyone.

Desired outcome: (A) a partial refund to cover the expense of ordering a different compatible bedframe for the headboard, (B) an alternative bedroom set of similar style that is complete, or (C) the bedframe used on the show model from our local store.

Lastman's Bad Boy - Terrible service!! unethical service!

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher on Oct 11/21 because Bad Boy advertised no tax on purchases. I paid in full and received a confirmation advising me that the delivery would take place Oct 18th. No delivery took place. I called and was told the delivery was changed to Jan 12/2022. This was not acceptable to my situation as I could not wait 3 months. I spoke to Nadine at 500 Fenmar head office location and she told me the cancellation was processed and I would have it in 7 days. To-date I've made 7 phone calls only to get the runaround that the manager "Clint" at extension 279 would be reaching out to me. I have been promised this several times and no one has called.
Not sure if a Clint exists because apparently the rep on the phone conveniently didn't remember Clint's last name.
It's shameful that this is the service they provide but falsely advertise how wonderful they are. I am now attempting to escalate to the top Executive level through my contacts in the industry. I am hopeful that their Director of Business Development Samantha will want to rectify this matter since this business was built up by her grandfather Mel. I'm still hopeful someone at Mel Lastman's Badbody has the decency to call me back as was promised.

Lastman's Bad Boy - Need exchange of used product shipped to me

I purchased a dishwasher online October 19, 2020. Order # [protected]. it got shipped November 3rd, the next day I opened the box to find the packaging seemed out of place. I moved the dishwasher to the kitchen and found water coming out of the dishwasher. I tried reaching out to the store. on hold for over 2 hours and got disconnected. I tried this for 4 days no answer. I emailed delivery, no response. I called again and finally someone from their delivery called me back on Nov 16th. Asking why I did not call earlier and I explained that it was a used dishwasher and a supply hose was missing. I did not try to install because I am not accepting a used dishwasher with missing parts. I paid $507.37 CAD (frigidairE 24 inch built in dishwasher in stainless steel FFCD2413US - SKU 114956) and it is an inconvenience for me to have this lying around in the corner of my kitchen. I need a full exchange ASAP. they have no customer service nor regards.

Lastman's Bad Boy - Unethical behaviour - charging for a out of stock product and refusing to refund payment

I am amazed that this business has not been closed down and can continue to operate with such dismal and unethical practices and even more dismal customer service!
I'm writing this review on behalf of my son and his girlfriend as they needed help with resolving an issue with bad boy furniture store. They are young adults, full time students with extremely limited income, lack of summer employment due to covid-19, and looming big school bills. On june 25 they purchased their first large furniture item - a sofa that converts to a bed for $700. For them this was a big deal! It was supposed to be delivered mid-july - they figured that they could sleep on their make-shift bed made of sleeping bags on the floor for a couple of weeks. The delivery date came and went and when they followed up, they were told the item is out of stock and will not likely be available until end of august!
They could not continue sleeping of the floor and sitting on lawn chairs in their room, so they tried to cancel the online order so they coulf purchase another sofa/bed from another store. The morning of july 24, they got a call from bad boy telling them that all sales are final, whether the item is delivered or not, and they cannot be refunded.
Since that phone call, now a whole month since they made the original purchase, they asked me to help them resolve this issue. I have been trying to speak to a customer service manager. Their central number often reaches a switchboard operator who simply refuses to listen to the issue. When I ask to be forwarded to a customer service manager, she just directs the call to a number that just rings and rings and rings. I have made an attempt over and over and over to get through - sometimes it will sound like it will switch to a person and then just clicks and disconnects; other times it will put the call on hold with music and eventually disconnect; other times yet, it will connect so someone's voicemail with an indistinguishable mumble of a name. I have left numerous voice-mails giving my phone number for them to call and have not received a single call back. One of their messages said that they call back within 24 - 48 hours. That is a blatant lie. It has been a whole week and no one has called me back.
Essentially bad boy is keeping the funds for a product they have not delivered; a product they do not have in stock and have no business selling until it is in stock. In my opinion that is called fraud! It is beyond me how they can get away with something like that and only parrot the response - "our policy is that all sales are final". A "sale" constitutes an exchange of a good or service for money - they have taken the money but have not delivered the goods that that money was for. They have broken the contract of a sale by that very fact. Again, that is a breach of contract and fraud.
I am amazed that this business has not been closed down and can continue to operate with such dismal and unethical practices and even more dismal customer service! When I go online to look at reviews, all I see is complaints by people who have similarly been defrauded in one way or another and received extremely shoddy service.
We are not interested in a store credit - we do not want to ever deal with this company again. We would like a full refund of the funds they have taken from us without delivering a product in exchange.
