Petro Canada - Violation of provincial health order (mask mandate)

On Dec. 29, 2021 @ 6:45am I was at the cashier behind a customer that was not wearing a mask, even though it is mandated by the provincial health officer and the Omicron virus is spreading like wildfire.
I asked the cashier why they are not enforcing the mask requirement (sign of front door), he stated that he didn't want to enforce it. When I tried to calmly discuss this more with the covid cases increasing rapidly recently, he didn't say anything and just ignored me. The other customers behind me (wearing masks) agreed with my comments to the cashier and were not happy either with the cashier's response. I indicated that I would discuss this further with the manager during the day and also discuss with Petro Canada head office.

I called the Petro Canada head office to file this complaint later in the morning and was given a slight run around with the call taker on the phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she indicated that to do so an appointment would need to be made. That being strange enough I then indicated that I'd like to make an appointment to speak with the supervisor. She replied that I should keep my line open at all times and someone will call within a few days... LOL, that is not making an appointment I replied to her. Just like making an appointment with a doctor, you are set up a date & time to have contact with someone. Then after a juggle of words she said I opened a ticket and we have your details if we need to contact you. The ticket number is 264402.

I don't think Petro Canada takes customers calls seriously and needs to be addressed by Sr. Management!

Maybe it's time to boycott all Petro Canada locations to show that customers are the foundation to business!

Desired outcome: Contact the station and discuss the Provincial health mandate order and then contact me to follow up.
