PMI Education SCAM

After numerous phone calls, extreme pressure guaranteeing an income from home of £2, 000 per month and also being asked about my credit card limits etc I agreed to pay a deposit of £497 from my credit card and agreed to monthly payments of £109 per month which if I was earning £2, 000 seemed affordable. The day after I tried phoning and also e mailed the company as I could not access a copy of my contract from my PC and wanted to read the clause ref changing your mind and obtaining a refund. The only time I heard from them was in November when after my credit card had been maxed out paying my monthly premiums the card issuer refused payment. I explained my financial situation and that I could not afford the payments and asked about a refund. I was told I was beyond the refund period. They did postpone my payments for a couple of months but after that time I could still not pay the monthly payment I started getting letters from Duvera Financial sometimes 3 a week. The last letter informing me of an enforced payment, but there is still no money on my credit card as I can only afford the mimimum payment each month. This whole experience is making me ill is there anything you can do to help me?
I received one phone call from PMI just doing a tour of the programme then received a piece of paper with no work instructions ref a website. Please help me. Kind regards, Mel

I am yet another victim of the PMI Direct . After I purchased StoresOnline program, both The Tax Club and PMI Education contacted me with their offers (unsolicited). I took a day or two to think things over, and when they contaced me again I decided to sign up. Both turned out to be scammers, quite simply. The Tax Club had already been taken to court by Federal Trade Commission. I was refunded just over 50% of the money I paid.
PMI sales person outlined the coaching program very convicingly stating the fee I'd pay would cover 10 one on one coaching sessions, ongoing support as well as professionally designed functional website. As I had only vague knowledge of internet, I felt coaching will get me up and going a lot faster than trying to figure things out myself. I couldn't be more wrong. Oui of 10 promissed sessions only 2 happened, 1 anf 1/2 really because during the second session I learned that I will be getting a different coach who never happened. Instead I was given a lot of "homework" and videos to watch. No coaching. The quality of "professionally" created website was unacceptable. In August 2010 emailed PMI to remedy the problem of non existent coaching and the website of unacceptable quality. I received no reply. Consequently I sent another email, this time asking for a refund on the grounds that the program I paid for had not been ddelivered. After that I received a number of phone calls with messages left on my answering machine. The person who called me said he was calling on behalf of StoresOnline (?!). Didn't get a refund. They offered to remedy with another round of coaching sessions. The same thing happened: I had one session and given an assignement to do. The date was set for the second session. My coach did show up for the second session but only to tell me that he would be leaving PMI and that a replacement coach had already been organized, I was provided with the new coach's name and email address. As I never heard from the replacement coach I did sent an email to the address I was given. Not surprisingly I never heard from PMI again. Tried to get a refund with the help of Better Business Bureau. Alas with no success.

I was contacted by PMI and convinced me to sign up for the program. First they ask you about your income and if you have credit cards, how many, what’s the limit on all of them and how much balance you have. Then they use that information against you to sell their services. They sold their services and made you believe they will help 100% if you join them. After the first call a second person contacted me in regards to the first call and made it sound I was one of the few who would qualify for their services. Based on my financial information I provided with my first call they told me it would cost me $5795 to start up. I went ahead and signed up and I was promised that a coach would contact me the following day. Sure the next day a coach followed up and just gave me a brief tour about their web training site. I had already done my personal tour and then we scheduled for a next session. He told me that part of starting my business I would have to do lots of paperwork with filling my taxes and suggest part of their business partners to contact me. A week later someone from tax club contacted me and convinced me that they will do all the paperwork for my business and help me with tax cut and filling for year taxes etc. Fortunate before I agreed I decided to do research and I found a lot of consumer reports many of them where really bad news. 3 days later tax club called me and tried to sign me up by giving them $2600 plus $49.95 membership monthly fees. I declined their offer. That was the end of it and I did not get any follow up call from my assigned coach. Three weeks later I get a call from somebody else asked me if I wanted to open an online business, I was under the impression that its part of the continuing service. I told them yes and I was passed on to another representative. I was asked the same questions like the first time about my finances and me being honest enough I did tell them my actual finances and the and 2 out of my 3 credit cards where maxed out, and my 3ed card was $300 shy from maxing out as well. The guy told me that I could join their services if I give them $300 and they would finance me a total of $2000. The whole deal would cost me total of $2300. The guy who interviewed me was about to transfer me to the finance dept and I cut him short because I was tied up, and told him to call me 2 hrs later to continue the process. Before I dropped the call I asked him a question what company where you calling from and he told me PMI. I was shocked after talking to him and only to find out I was offered the same service the second time for half the price. 2hrs passed and I did not receive any call then I called the guy who I original spoke with earlier and played stupid and told me " he had no idea that I was already enrolled with their services" I then proceeded and asked him how come I was charged double before and you are offering the same service for half the price? He was quick enough to tell me that I have to talk with customer service, he purposely avoided my questions and kept on saying "I cannot help you talk with customer service.” further on I was directed to customer service and I expressed my frustration. The lady from customer service said there is not much she can do, that quality assurance department would give me a call. I asked her directly when they will give me a call she mentioned that turn around call will be 2 days. 2days went on and past and I still did not get a call. I then went on and followed up with customer service and the second rep forwarded me to some guy and I left multiple messages. My call was returned 5 hours later. the next day I called the same guy who left a message on my phone and I proceeded and asked why was I charged $5795 and I was offered the same the same services if I give them $300 and finance $2000 based on my financial situation. He tried to cover it by saying there was some sort of misunderstanding and that the programs where not the same, he kept on continuing trying to convince me that I am getting more for my money. I told him I did not believe what he was telling me and I wanted my difference back or total refund of my money. He then became defensive and argued with me over the phone that I heard wrong and there is no such. I asked him if there was such a difference in services why I wasn’t offered that option in the beginning. he responded " you did not need that option" I went ahead and asked him I want the difference from what I paid at first and he exchange words with me and told me that I cannot get my refund because I past 3 days. I expressed myself how unhappy I was with the service because I only got a total of 3 calls for my coach and I was left hanging. I did all the leg work with no follow up and asked him again I want my refund because I did not appreciate how I was treated and how I was scammed. He went on arguing that there will be no refund. I was very upset and told him there was nothing to talk about then. Today I decided to go on the website. I entered my user name and my password only to find out I can no longer access my account online. I am very very upset with PMI education, the whole experience is a nerve wreck, not only they scammed me $6000; they also block me accessing my account.

I lost over $ 10, 500 in 2010 answering an ad from Dean Graziosi about real estate investing and was contacted by PMI who said they were working for Dean Graziosi. At that time I could find no complaints on PMI or Graziosi, and their BBB rating was B+ . I saw recently where it was F because of numerous complaints. Their "system" tells you to do things that my legal council advises me will not stand up in court. I have filed complaints with the BBB and My states consumer protection - but no results. Perhaps a group of us can petition the state of Utah as that seems to where they are based, and get something done to stop this. I was recently contacted by PMI this year to come to one of their seminars - I guess they forgot they already "GOT" me

We have had the same experiences with PMI Education, a late night phone call asking all the same questions as everyone else has received. We gave them the information they wanted thinking because Scott McGilvray was involved this it must be on the up and up. We felt very uncomfortable during the call and the next morning found this site. That morning I sent a fax to PMI Education and said I wanted to withdraw from the program. I asked for the money to be refunded and said there was no need for a Welcome Call. The Welcome Call came and several subsequent e-mails arrived. I asked that the charges to the credit card be reversed. I was told I would have to talk with the Dispute Resolution group. I was told that group did not work on Friday and they would call on Monday. On Friday evening we called the two credit card companies. Only one card had been charged for a little over $600. The large charge did not get to the second company. We changed the numbers on both cards that night. One credit card company said they have seen these scams before and said they would go after the company on our behalf once the charge hits the statement.

The call from the Dispute Resolution group came in the afternoon of Monday and I was grilled about why we had changed our minds. I was also asked where I had done research about the company. I was told that the internet is like the writing on a bathroom wall. No commitment was made to refund my money. A final call came from one of the acount reps who said he had sent and e-mail with things that may help me. I told him we were out of the program. That is the last I have heard from them.

Sorry about your experiences and can more than sympathize based on a couple of previous personal experiences. This morning my wife and I were on a supposedly 15-minute phone call–which went on for over an hour–ostensibly to determine if we “qualified” to become “exalted” chosen members of their internet sales program. Phrases like that send chills up my spine–after all, this is nothing more than a cheesy sales gig–we pay, they supposedly deliver. The other spinal chill was that we had to decide today, Thursday. Yet after our call didn’t go as old Jake planned, suddenly Friday was okay. And by the comments herein, next week will probably be all right, too.

As Jake’s grilling about personal finances progressed, it became obvious they were less interested in our finances and more interested in how much money they could wring out of us. Salesperson Jake’s reaction became one of increasing anger as we deflected his questions. Finally, after our continued refusing to talk about credit limits, stock portfolios, etc. he told us: “Let me hang up so you can get copies of your credit and stock portfolio statements. Then I’ll call you back when you have accurate information.” He really got pissed when my wife responded that not only did we have no intention of getting any credit statements but the financial grilling was at an end.

Tomorrow I have my interview with some higher echelon person to ensure I’m worthy and thus able to bestow upon me the privilege of paying them thousands of dollars. Based on what I read here, I’m more than worthy. I’m loaded for bear.

I was scammed by PMI Education also. I was contacted by PMI in September 2009 about starting an Online Business - Work at Home. They made everything sound so real. They even asked me if I would be willing to have a success story published. Well they are more than welcome to publish my debt of $3000.00 that they managed to get out of me. It will be 2 years this September and I have not made enough to pay of this loan.

These people really have a way of making you believe that you can make a lot of money with little or no knowledge of Online Business and building a website. I didn't even know what the words "META TAGS" were! I have found out the hard way.
At first these people were right there for you and soon there help began to diminish. If you tried to contact them you were put on hold forever or you were directed to a voice mail. I would leave messages but no one returned my calls and the online chat was constantly down.

How I let myself get cohersed in to this, I don't know? I guess I really wanted to make a difference in my life. I put 1000's of hours in to my online business and finally this January I shut it down.

I know now that I could have accomplished the same thing without PMI and saved myself a lot of money.

PMI Education Scam!!!

I was drilled for an hour and half to join their success team over the phone. They asked me for my credit cards and their limit and how much I have in my bank account. Two interviewers drilled me that PMI promises to make my dream come true by helping me pay off my credit card debt and student loan debt. After a few days, I found out it's a program that helps you set up your own online business website. I complained to the guy that works in the Quality Assurance that I wanted to quit and want my refund back. He said that 3 day opt out is expired and he then manipulated me that I needed an income and PMI can do just that in 60 days. I reluctantly continued because I wanted to recoup my initial investment of $5, 770.oo. I recently told my dad about the investment on his credit card and he freaked out. He told to call them and quit and ask for a refund. I called the Quality Assurance guy again thinking he would be sympathetic to my story but he told me he didn't gave a crap and I shouldn't always listen to my dad says. He then called me the next day to complain how my uncle called the program to speak on my behalf. He said no one should speak on my behalf because I"m an adult and I should have kept all this a secret from my close knit family. He won't gave me a refund unless the finished the program in 6 months. The whole time I've been with PMI I loss sleep and woke up with panic attacks or cold sweat. Please don't be guillble that this company will make you an instant millionaire. This is a scam! I'm going to file another compaint and a lawsuit.

PMI Education Another person scammed by PMI!

Dave Hodgkinson, a sales manager for Professional Marketing International (PMI) Education contacted me at the end of October and spent about an hour and a half convincing and pushing me to sign up for their success team program so I can make great money. Based on the credit limit and the balance on all of my credit cards, he told me it would cost $9, 540.00 to start up. Interestingly enough, they are selling the same services for half or even a quarter of the price they charged me, see this post: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/pmi-education-c271177.html.
I asked to see the contract first before charging my card, but Dave said he needed to charge the card first. Many times Dave stated to that only smart and intelligent people qualify for this service, and if I did not sign up he insinuated that I was a fool and of low intelligence. Dave did not let it go, and several times when I hang up stating that I don’t think this is for me, he called me back over and over. He did not give up until I finally said yes after 1.5 hours – he practically manipulated me into signing. I gave in only after he promised me that they will help me 100% with everything there is to do to get a real estate deal. He said that a coach will call me to start letting me know about the program, and that I will have 3 days after an extensive interview with another representative from PMI to cancel the program. The interview was supposed to be within 1-2 weeks from the day of signing. He also promised me that if I decide that the program is not for me and I’m not making money, I can get a refund even after the end of the refund policy. Only with this assurance and after being manipulated for 1.5 hours I finally gave up.
A couple days later I got a call from my coach Eric who told me about the educational website where I should complete real estate lessons. During second call the week after that, he told me that I need to compile the buyer/seller lists myself, even though Dave told me that PMI have the buyer lists available which I could use for selling real estate I find. Eric said that I needed to compile the lists myself. Dave told me otherwise and this was one of the lies he told me. When Eric, my coach called me the third time I told him that I did not have time to allocate for this to do all the work myself and I wanted to cancel the service. I called up the customer service to cancel it, and the lady told me there is not much she can do, that quality assurance department would give me a call. I asked her when they will give me a call she mentioned that the call will be in 2 days. 2 days went on and past and I still did not get a call. Third day Jason called and he told me that I cannot get my refund because I past 3 days. I expressed how unhappy I was with the service because I only got a total of 3 calls for my coach and that I never received a call from another person who was suppose to interview me (which would trigger the start of the 3 days to cancel). I did all the leg work with no follow up and asked him that I want my refund because I did not appreciate how I was scammed and lied to by Dave. Jason told me that the conversation with the coach Eric WAS that interview, however Dave said that the interviewer will be somebody different than my coach and that the conversation would be extensive. He went on arguing that there will be no refund. I am very upset with PMI education, the whole experience is a nerve wreck, and I’m left with almost $10, 000 in debt for something that is completely useless. The service was supposed to be for a year with possible extension of the term. And I only received 2 training sessions with the coach for $10K.
Beware and please post on all websites about their scamming policies. I'm filing a BBB complaint and if that will not produce any results, I am filing a lawsuit and posting about them all over internet. I even created a blog to stop people from signing up with them. PMI Education Commercial Real Estate

Hi guys just wanted to submit my opinion of this group PMI Education. It's not a complaint I just want to clarify on what you guys get into when you sign up for the Commercial Real Estate Mentor Program.

First off I signed up paying $6805 for 20 sessions and from my perspective right now that is EXACTLY what you get. Overall the coaches seem to be helpful so far but DON'T expect to be able to contact your coach with 1-on1 sessions whenever you like as they will not return calls or email you back questions you may have. Unless you reschedule your lessons and charge another session they will not help you. BUT, I have called the advisory line a few times for questions and they have been responsive and helpful but I would rather speak to my real coach who has had more experience.

For the Commercial Mentor program there is no syllabus or workbooks or study guides whatsoever so if your just starting out with no knowledge of commercial real estate, your money would be better spent elsewhere like I did learning the basics.

Anyway I'm about 3 months into the program with no solid deals to work off so far so I'm postponing my sessions in order to preserve them for when I do have a solid deal.

So far I believe that this has NOT been a good investment and if you are considering signing up I would look how much your willing to pay for 20 sessions as this is NOT a mentor coaching, it is just advice over 20 sessions.

This is the worst investment I've ever made, and glad you think the same. I did request a refund in November and still no answer from them. They told me that they will provide me with lists of investors, but that was a misrepresentation.
Please read my story on my blog: http://scammedbypmi.blogspot.com/
Also, be sure to comment and write your own story on the site, so if more people complain and talk about PMI Education scam, maybe less people will be signing up for their services.

PMI Education Did not honor refund

I was told that PMI would send me a contract that would list the services they would provide and that I would 3 days to opt out. They wouldn't send the contract until I gave them my credit card number. Then, they didn't send me the contract but charged the card. The bank told me that I should not have given them the credit card number until AFTER they sent me the contract. The only thing professional about Professional Marketing International is that they are professional scam artists. For the full story, see my blog at http://scambuster108.blogspot.com/2010/08/pmi-education-scam.html .

I sincerely hope that my stupidity will at least help other people see that this company is not to be trusted and to NEVER give your credit card to anyone without first receiving a signed statement with their refund policy in plain English.

BTW, in my complaint to Utah BBB, I also used the basis that they promised to mail a contract. But they didn't mail anything... They just have this online signature nonsense, and that's suppose to be the contract, that's very deceptive... Their response to my complaint refused to achknoledge what they did was wrong, but I still got most my money back. They don't want their name to become bad with the BBB so it looks like they try to keep 0 complaints current. I was hoping there wasn't corruption between BBB and PMI, it looks like there isn't.

People. I just got 80% of my money refunded... I sent a complaint via the Utah BBB website and they responded within a month, and I got my money refunded, PMI sent a check through dhl... I spent 2500, and got refunded 1862 because I didn't extensively use their program or services. So try going through the utah bbb, and consumer services also replied to my complaint, but they replied weeks after I sent them a certified complaint about PMI. So I suggest u do that.

I fell for the same thing . Andy Young, the Financial Manager for PMI said the business would pay for it self anyway and I had nothing to worry about and he would email me a Contract. I also asked him if I would need to spend any more money and he said "No" .When I got the Contract the numbers didn't add up s0 I called to ask why the numbers didn't add up. I was treated rudely by Anthony Young who instead of answering my questions talked over me asking me if I thought I was getting the program for nothing and why did I think I was qualified to be considered for the program and was I teachable. I agreed to look at the Contract unaware that if I followed the emails that followed I would be agreeing to and signing the Contract. I was not aware there was such a thing as an "E" Signature. The Program was $3, 500.00. I was asked to pay $500.00 down and they would finance the rest. He then said it would be $519.00 when I asked him why the $19.00 extra dollars he never really answered me he just kept talking over me about Affilliates and Hosting Fees. I also talked to two women via emails. Jennie Daly who told me she couldn't let me out of the Contract but would reduce my monthly payment to $100 from $194.61. and leave it open until paid. When I got the Contract the Total Cost was $4, 001.94. which included $452.94. (18% interest) less the $519. = $3452.94 not $4oo1.94 Never did get an answer. That is when I found out from Jenni Daly my account was turned over to Duvera Financial. That is when I met Cara Levens, Billing Manager. who told me they did not process Paypal Accounts only Credit Cards and Checking Accounts. Somehow Anthony Morrission, PMI and Duvera Financial, Andy Young, Jennie Daly and Cara Levens, and someone named Victor Rich are all tied in together. This is a hugh scam and there are many, many arms to it. I have contacted the Attorney General's Office in California because they need to be stopped.

Too bad I read these posts too late and I did fell and sign up for the program after being drilled and convinced by a sales rep for almost 2 hours.
Please read my story and share yours on my blog: http://scammedbypmi.blogspot.com/.
The more we post and write on all the sites and blogs, the more we will help other potential customers and maybe PMI will hear our voices as well. I am also considering filing a complaint with Utah's Attorney General and it would be helpful if several of us joined in the complaint. Please message me privately if interested.
Thanks!

i totally agree that this company is a scam and my dad just signed up for it yesterday. i will have to let my dad know about this before that 3 day trial is due. i knew that this company is a scam, but i just searched Google to make sure that PMI is a scam. i will definitely make sure to tell my dad about this and tell him to call either the company up and tell them to cancel or just call up the credit card company and have the credit card company cancel the card and send out a new one. to all the people reading this site about this PMI company, please whatever you do, do not answer your phone when they do call your house and basically please do not answer these people that are thieves who will try to steal and take away your money. sure there are people making money from home and some are legit and others are just plain scams. do not fall prey and be a victim of this type of scam. due your due diligence and go by this old saying, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. stay away from this company.

Thank you and God bless you for posting this on the internet. I also signed up with them last night. Because of you, I was able to stop the payment from my credit card company. If anyone else out there has recently signed up, don't wait the 3 days and try to deal with this company to tell them you have changed your mind. I called directly to my credit card company and told them it was a scam. They reversed the payment, canceled my card, and are sending me a new card. These kind of people are nothing but hard core thieves! And once again, thank you MCabral0820 and the rest of you who posted your stories on the internet. You saved a 60 year old woman from making a very big mistake.

I have also been stupid enough to fall for this scam. But I’m also going to fight and bring this company down in any way I can find. It will be hard to do it alone but if we all pull together we might be able to bring them down. With a law suite or closing their doors so they can't do it to anyone else. If anyone is interested than please email me at MCabral0820@comcast.net
