Bromalite Unauthorized charges

They advertise a "Free Sample". What is in the fine print is that this "Free Sample" will cost you $6.00 in shipping and handling (the initial charge) and another $69.95 after 14 days if you do not cancel your subscription. Oh yes, you are automatically subscribed to a renewal and your credit card is billed. The second charge of $69.95 will be refunded (so I am told) once they receive the un-opened bottle. However, the first $69.95 is gone. So, unless you carefully read the fine print of the offer this "Free Sample" will cost you $75.00. Definitely not worth it and I think a VERY deceptive way to offload a product which does NOTHING!

Ordered what I thought was FREE Bromalite & just pay S&H. Then I get a charge of $79.95 on my credit card. Then I received a second bottle which I sent back unopened. I called & asked for a credit but they refused. Told them DO NOT send me anything! I also had this happen with the Acai Berry but they oked a refund. I also had a charge from A "Fit Factory" which was connected with both of these& they also gave me a refund.

Don't order a free trial of Acai Berry or Bromalite unless you have hundreds of disposable dollars. The free samples cost me over $300. In addition to charges from other companies that claim they were companion products that I didn't check as not wanting to receive. Scam Alert!

This company is a rip-off. I placed on order one day and canceled the next day. I was charged for a months supple when I only ordered a free trail.
Now they keep giving me the run-a-round about my refund. It took them two days to charge my account, now 39 days and I still don't have my refund. Never order from this company...They also will not tell you who owns this company...BIG red flag

Bromalite Scam and false leading e-mail

From a e-mail I received I responded to a free sample of TOTAL CLEANSE BROMALITE AND ACAL BERRY NATURE'S BEST via the same e-mail. I am 70 years of age and feel stupid as after I OK'd free samples, I relealized that they added an order for Green Tea (Power Tea) to my bill. I called Bromalite within 10 minutes and requested that the Green tea be cancealed and removed from the invoice. They, Supervisor Cynthia Campbell said she will remove the order and the crediit card charge. Today, 2-11-09, I received via US mail the Green Tea and the crdit card charge of $34.95. So far only a run around from Bromalite. Please advise this senior, Thank You. William E. List

Bromalite Scam!!!

Bromalite Scam!

I ordered a "Free Sample" and got hit with a 69.95 charge to my credit card... I called the company [protected]) and got my credit card refunded within 5 days. (was on hold for about 15 minutes)

Here is the best way to handle the call to avoid them telling you that there is nothing they can do:
1. tell them the call is being recorded
2. tell them that you plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's office if not issued a refund along with cancelling the memebship.
3. ask for a confirmation # and aslo an email confirmation.

They will 1st try to tell you that there is nothing that they can do about the initial 69.95 charge since you did not cancel within the 1st 14 days. They will also point out that this was disclosed when you clicked "rush my order" or "submit" for your "Free Sample"... Simply tell them "that is poor business practice - please credit my account for the 69.95 and cancel the membership so I don't have to call the Attorney General - thanks you!"

... Soon you're credit card will get charged again for 29.95 from another compnay called FitFactory.com - they will claim that you agreed when you submitted the Bromalite order - what a nightmare - follow the same as above - here is the # [protected]

Now, the eamails keep coming from all theri "partners"... ### just won't go away!

I agreed to pay the $4.95 for the "free" bromalite trial. Shortly after giving the company my credit card info I started getting emails from other "diet" and "fitness" companies. I later noticed that I had charges on my credit card from these companies in addition to a 69.95 charge from Bromalite - non of which were authorized by me. My credit card company refunded my for the other charges, cancelled my credit card, and investigated the $69.95 charge. I have recently found out that Bromalite was able to convince VISA that the charge was legitimate and I'm out $69.95! THIS IS A HUGE SCAM!

This company has links on websites. They make it look like all you need to do is call to cancel. Of course when you call, no one picks up and when you try to look your order up to cancel online, it says "order not found." This is what they are doing...when a person tries to cancel, they naturally enter Bromalite as a key word search and they are directed to a different site from the one they ordered from which of course has all sorts of terms which were not on the first site (the one you ordered from initially). I have written to the Delaware Attorney General (easy to use their email). Till the $69.95 goes from pending to an actual debit, I can't dispute it with my Bank, but as soon as it does, I will. Let's see how good an attorney general Joe Biden's son is.

I ordered one free sample of Bromalite and paid the shipping in late January 2009. Yesterday, March 1, my husband discovered two $69.95 charges on my credit card! I have ordered nothing except the free trial bottle and received nothing except that free sample. I phoned them and they said it was my responsibility to read the fine print on their website. I never even saw any fine print - all I was doing was ordering one free sample to try. The man who I spoke with also told me that "Nothing is ever free." This is a SCAM. Their product also does not work. I have zero results from consuming their product. The man (Jerome) said he'd credit me the second $69.95 charge and cancel my "membership" but not the first one. That first charge was for my FREE product! I did not ask for nor expect any membership or autoshipment. This is outrageous.

My FREE TRIAL bottle turned into a nightmare! I ordered the free
bottle, paid the shipping, and didn't receive it for over 2 weeks.
THEN they charged 87.56 to my credit card for the free bottle!
15 days later, they charged another 87.69 to my credit card for
another bottle! I was also charged for a diet and fitness site I had
no Idea about ($38.29) It came with the bromalite. The latter site will refund most of my money, they said, but Bromalite won't! I was obviously charged shipping on that FREE $87.56 bottle twice, but they wouldn't refund that either! I'm mad as hell about this scam.

Bromalite offers online appear in a popup. They advertise a bottle of their supplement for only shipping and handling. Buried in the bottom of their offer is the condition that they will charge your credit card for over $80 for the bottle if you don't call them with 15 days of their shipping the product. That is totally unreasonable. They also continue to send more product (this is also buried in the fine print somewhere) and charge your credit card. And they sign you up for something called Fit-Fac. I was able to get them to credit my charge card for both Bromalite charges and the Fit-Fac charge. This business needs to be shut down or monitored immediately as many, many people are falling for this scam. The same thing is going on with a supplement called Acai Berry Supreme.

Hi Brenda,
This is Linda again.
I already called your customer service, and that is what spurred me
to complain. They told me I had 12 days, period. It took me more
than 2 weeks to receive the product. Meanwhile, I was billed for that
first FREE bottle, then another one before I knew what was going
on.
This is a poor way to do business. My bank told me they have had
numerous complaints about your company. If I call your customer
service, I will be told the same thing, because I was on the phone for
SOME time with them the first time. They wouldn't budge, so I
imagine they've been told what to say. I TOLD the girl I had 30 days,
and she insisted I had 12. At 12 days, I didn't even HAVE it yet.
So, Brenda, I'm sorry to tell you, your customer service will not be
happy to assist me. They DID cancel my account, but no refund.
That's a very expensive lesson I had to learn, and no, I'm not
one bit happy about it.
Sincerely,
Linda

Bromalite Over Charged

To the people at Bromalite
I had purchased an apparent "free trial" with this company along with 2 other samples to which I have been charged on my Visa numerous times. I will give the dates and amounts of these items..for a free trial and with a purchase of 2 other bottles they recomended by them. In my opinion the amounts I have been charged is an outrage and I demand an explination along with credits on my Visa account.
Dates and amounts charged by Bromalite
Nov9- 3 charges 1)4.86 2)42.97 3)6.77
Nov 30 1 charge of 66.93
Dec 1 1 charge of 76.52
Dec 15 1 charge of 66.22
Total Charges equalling 224.27
I recieved 3 bottles
1 being Bromalite
another being Acaia Slim
and last being Power Tea
Now if one is a free Sample (being charged for shipping and handling) and the other 2 being less than 50 even with the US exchange should not be 224.27...
I want this looked into and a credit as I believe I was way overcharged for these items that only have 50-60 pills if that in them
Also a letter of apology for the lying of the Free sample THIS WAS NOT a free sample
I will cancel my visa and get a new one issued and this company will be charge with lying to the consumers
I wand an answer ASAP

Bromalite Cannot return Product

After reviewing the internet ( stupid me I should of looked up the product first!) I have found a lot of complaints with charging your charge card. So, I cancelled mine because what I found out is they will keep on charging you for the product and it is hard to get in touch with them. If you don't return the products as soon as you receive it they will charge you in full after 15 days. They gave you a months supply and the free trail is only for a 2 week period.
So, I called and cancelled and also, am mailing back their product.
If you receive an email from Fit Factory, [protected]) call them up right away Because they will be charging your acct. $19.95 a month for support that you signed up for when you purchased Acaia Slim or Bromalite.
I can't get in touch with Bromalite [protected]) I was on hold for at least 1 hour. Does anyone know there Return Address?
It took about 10 minutes for Acaia Slim.

Bromalite constant shipping and charging

I ordered the trial version of both the bromalite and acai diet pills and was fully aware of the shipping only charges. However within two weeks, more pills started arriving and my credit card was charged without my knowledge or consent. I tried the 800 numbers for both companies and received a taped message and no one answered. I then contacted my visa credit card with the charges and had to change my credit card number to deflect any further charges. Visa cannot block charges but they can dispute them but it takes 90 days and meanwhile I would continue to be charged. I live in Canada so the exchange rate at this time is too high. Instead I have to get another number and go without until my new card arrives. These companies should be charged for misconduct and Oprah should be advised of these charges..

for all those were are saying they are getting fraud charges.. they are not fraud.. it is not a scam. when you put your credit card out on the internet you should be smart enough to read the terms and conditions. nothing is free these days.. i did sign up for the TRIAL and understood to try it within the time given and give them a call if i didnt want to continue. i called their customer service and they were able to assist me in cancelling my account. ive only been charged 4.95 for shipping and handling and have had no other charges, and i was able to keep the whole bottle sent.

I ordered a free trial of Bromalite. I did read the small print which said I needed to call this number to cancel any further mailings or billings. I did that and rec'd a cancellation number. I thought I was safe and no further charges would be taken. That wasn't the case they billed my credit card again for another shipment. I called to inform them and gave them my cancellation number . A definate scam. I did the trial offer to and failed to cancel...however after talking to the people, I was informed that the small bottle sent IS the 30 day shipment...so I paid 4.95 first and then 69.99 for the same bottle. $75 bucks for a little bottle of over the counter supplements. Do not trust them...Also the product is lousy. I tried it for three days without the least effect. I am taking Probiotic 15-35 again from Nutraceutical Sciences.

Just ANOTHER SCAM from a company that has no morals or sense of ethics. We all know how marketing works, they do their research on human behavior and find ways to exploit people for their financial gain. Capitolism, or at least thats the term they like to hide behind. This is just like those mail in rebate offers, the companies know that most people are not going to mail in the rebate out of laziness, forgetfulness or other reasons that they have thoroughly researched. The consumer will however buy the product because of the large print saying what the reduced price is. so, they did their research and know that many people won't look at Terms for a variety of reasons and they put all kinds of extra stuff in there just to steal your money. For all of you out there that are going to tell the American people they are to blame they should pay more attention GO to Hell. You probably are the ones that do this kind of stuff for a living and otherwise wouldn't be aware yourselves. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY. Oh I'm sorry you probably don't know what that means...Well go look it up!

I ordered bromalite but I did read the fine print so i called fit factory and cancelled immediately, the bromalite came 13 days after i ordered it which gives me only 1 day to try the product - i called - got right through and they said they will extend my free trial. Right after i ordered, i went online (should have done this beforehand!) and read all these bad reviews - so i cancelled my CC a couple days after ordering. I only recieved the 4.95 s&h charge and my cc is cancelled and i've recieved a new one - all before i recieved the bromalite! So, i got it yesterday and now i don't know weather to try it or not, i have not read any reviews of anybody's results after trying so if anybody has anything to say about the actual product - please post. As far as all the bad experiences, it should be a lesson learned - ALWAYS read the fine print or don't order - and a lesson learned for me - i think all this crap is a scam - especially if you can not buy the product - you have to get a free trial - no website that you can go on and just buy a bottle of it - that should have been a red flag - it will be in the future.

I did go back and look at the Bromalite ad and I did see in very fine print about the subscription you are automatically enrolled in after you submit your order...But even so, it would have been a hassle all the same if I had caught that and did try to cancel my "membership" before 14 days, as it was hard to get through to them, and when I did get through to fitfactory, I was told their system was down and to call back later so they could help me "address my concern." It wasn't until I got my bank involved that I was able to get those charges straightened out.

I too responded to an add and ordered a free sample from Bromalite which I authorized 4.95 to be charged to my debit card for shipping and handling. About 3 weeks later I noticed a charge of 29.95 by fitfactory.com. To make a hassling long story short, I finally got that charge taken care of with the help of my bank. The representative from fitfactory told me I had not "cancelled" my subscription and that's why I was charged 29.95, and she assured me I would not incurr anymore charges from fitfactory. I did receive the credit to my account...But About 4 days later, I noticed a charge in the amount of 69.95 from dri*reg.net. I again called my bank, and my bank called that number and the rep from that company issued me a refund and "cancelled" my monthly "subscription" . I was told the same thing by this rep that when I ordered the free sample of acuberrie or whatever, that i had "signed up" for a monthly subscription to which i would incurr a monthly charge, unless i called to cancel before 14 days after my order. Apparently, the Bromalite company has kept my debit card info and has passed it around. So I had my bank close out my current debit card and issue me another card with a new number. Because i know that if I didn't act now, in a few days, i would probably see another charge pop up from another unheard-of source, and would have to go through the same ordeal again. There's no telling how many "subscription" they try to sign you up for... Beware of the Bromalite ad. It seems to be a scam.

The product just arrived about a week ago and I think I've been charged but figured I'll give it a chance and call them later if I want to cancel. I've taken one pill each day (although, they recommend two). Reason being, due to medication I have a very sensitive stomach and I'm always bloated. I haven't had a bowel movement yet? Is it me? I haven't tried to cancel yet and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the effectiveness of the product?
Didn't Oprah recommend this stuff?

I order this bromalite all natural digestive supplement. Free trial for 4.95 shipping and handing. Well, they charged me 69.95 a monthly fee and they sign me up for a fitness program on-line for 29.95 a month. www.fitfactory.com. and I didn't sign for this. So, I called and complain and they couldn't find my account, So, she ask me for my debit card number. She said I can locate your account. Hey, But they know my debit card # and charged Me. NO WAY! please don't do want I did. I had to get a new debit card. And I had bills I send out and paided on-line. Everything got all mess-up. I learn my lesson.

On 3/9/09 I thought I was purchasing 30-day Digestive Supplement for $4.50. I received the bottle a couple of days later. I never opened the first bottle, and on 3/28/09 I received another bottle which I didn't order, and took it to the post office to be returned unopened. On 3/31/09 I received my Visa bill to learn that I was charged $69.95 for the original bottle I thought was $4.50. I called the company immediately, and was told about the "terms and conditions" which appeared in the very small, fine print at the bottom of the page. I was given a confirmation #01A46 and another #62327 that verified that I cancelled my subscription. There was another charge for $29.95 on my credit card; when I called that number, I was told it was for a fitness instructor that I had automatically been signed up for when I sent for the supplement. I was given a confirmation #CRA-[protected] stating that this service had been cancelled. This morning, I called my credit card company, only to learn that I had been charged an additional $69.95 on March 24, 2009. I requested that a new credit card number be issued to me immediately. I accept responsibility for not reading the terms and conditions fully, but feel that the company has used unfair business practices in advertising a product for $4.50 and in fine print, extracting over $100 for their product that, upon further investigation, is reported to be questionable to use. I never even opened the first bottle, and would appreciate any help you can give me in recuperating the second charge of $69.95 on my credit card. This type of advertising is deceitful, deceptive, and should be unlawful.

I printed my on line conversation with the sales clerk on this item. Numerous time she tried to sign me up for other items and I denied the charge "As long as you do not charge my card anymore than the authorized shipping (ever) then you can process the free trial only" then she tried some tricks and I responded " I dont want the so called 25$ free card. THis is getting very annoying" and she responded " Okay, no problem, I'll note that you have declined the offer and you will NOT be enrolled. Have a good day" I felt uncomfortable and canx my credit card. THANK GOD! because my credit card said they tried to charge 69.95 and 49.95 and 19.95 and two other charges within the next 5 days and they denied the charges. This site is a major scam. BEWARE!

I made the mistake in December of ordering a green tea diet supplement. When it arrived there was a bottle of Bromalite as well as the green tea. Last week I was looking at my credit card statement and there was not only a $69.95 charge from Bromalite but also a $29.95 charge from FitFactory.com (the charge for the green tea was on the card as well). I contacted the fitness site and they said it was authorized through Bromalite. I informed them I was calling the police so they said they would reverse the charge. I contacted my credit card about both charges and did file a police report. Yesterday yet another bottle of Bromalite arrived. I will be giving the address to the police and returning the product that was not ordered. I also will be contacting the credit card company yet again. What can consumers do to protect themselves against this kind of fraud? I know now that I shouldn't have ordered the green tea but it was just tea.

I ordered a "free" trial of Bromalite. I read the agreement. I gave a credit card number to pay for the $4.00 postage fee to mail this free trial to me. I started getting on my credit card bill a charge of $69.95 for a bottle of 60 capsules that is a one month supply. None of my prescription medicine costs this. Today, Jan 16, 2009, I called and cancelled the debit for Bromalite on my credit card. I spoke with Lola who found it difficult to stay awake as she tried to listen to my complaint. I do have a cancellation number. If, indeed, they do cancel this for me, I will write a positive statement about that.

Ordered on-line offer for free trial period for only $4.95 shipping. Credit card charged $4.95 - never received anything. My next credit card statement showed the $4.95 charge and another $69.95 charge from this company. I immediately notified my credit card company of a dispute of these charges. Finally got someone on the phone at Bromalite who said they would credit the $69.95 back to my credit card but would not refund the $4.95 because it was "non-refundable" regardless of the fact that I did not receive the product they promised. This is a total scam - do not order from them.

I ordered a free sample ($4.95 for shipping) of Bromalite and the next month received a charge for $19.95 US ($25.22CDN) from FIT-FAC.COM in LasVegas, NV and $52.25 US 4(68.17 CDN) charge from Bromalite.
I have had the $19.95 removed from my charge, but have had a difficult time trying to reach Bromalite by phone [protected]. I have tried numerous times calling them, as well as trying to get another contact number as couldn't reach anyone ; getting no answer. Then today after 3 months I got hold of someone (male) who couldn't help me'. I questioned how they could charge for a product not ordered or received and said repeatedly, "mam, sorry I can't help you" . They questioned why I was so late in respnding? I tried calling but never got any answer!

When I received my "free sample" it came in an envelope with the bottle of Bromalite and absolutely nothing else with it. That is when it raised a warning bell. I quickly cancelled my card and still am trying to get a refund. I have worked with the fraud department of my credit card and have just recently been given a letter to try myself as they were not successful.

I am so frustrated and feel so stupid that I feel for such a deceitful ad. I should have known better. Now I just want to let others know -- BEWARE! This is a perfect example of companies to stay away from.

This is a SCAM, you charged my credit card without my authorization. I went for the FREE TRIAL Offer SCAM. I will just pay postage for this Free trial offer and then if I like it or it helps me then I will reorder when I want to, not by this compnay automatically charging my credit card. I refuse to be a part of this type of SCAMMING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC/with your FREE TRIAL Offer. Please let me give coments to the company on my behalf. You say everyone is raving about this product, please let me give a coment for this Company. This is what is completely wrong with the web business and advertising. Legimate products and companies are destroyed but this cheap trick of scamming the public. I know that I will not even think about buying anything on line just because of this type of treatment. I will be contacting my Better Business Bureau with this type of fradulant SCAM.
