Burkentine built our house and we moved in on October 16. Since then, we've had some issues that haven't been resolved. There's a bad smell coming from the basement sewer that's making us sick. It's coming through the vents in our home, and we've told Burkentine about it on June 27, 2022, but they haven't sent anyone to inspect it yet. We're getting headaches and feeling nauseous. They also promised to repair a wall on April 12, 2022, but they haven't scheduled it yet. We've been asking them to fix some tiles since April 12, 2022, but they haven't scheduled that either. We need them to schedule our final house repairs for the year, but they haven't done that yet. They're really slow to respond, and sometimes they don't respond at all. There's methane gas coming into our house, and it's making us sick, but they don't seem to care.

I moved into Burkentine & Sons Builders, Inc's place in New Freedom, Pa in August . The building was built poorly, and I told the building manager about it in October . I could hear my upstairs neighbor's alarm clock, and it woke me up from my sleep. I asked what I could do, but they only gave me the option to end my lease early. I couldn't change apartments or buildings. I talked to the regional director in November , but she didn't reply until December . I gave them a 60-day notice to move out, but they didn't schedule a move-out inspection. When I moved out, they charged me over $800 for paint and labor, but they didn't show me any proof. I patched holes and cleaned the carpets before leaving. They lowered the fee to $450, but they still didn't show me any documentation. They also charged me $3,500 to end my lease, but I only did it because I couldn't sleep. I sent them videos of the noise, but no one came to check it out. They charged me for burns, stains, stickers, scratches, or holes, but there was no proof they existed. I never painted the walls. I can send the email chain if you want.
