Way overpriced, horrible audit
I had an audit performed by Tom Brown from Bright Home www.brighthome.com and it was a complete waste of time. He was suppose to come and perform tests on my home and inspect my insulation. 2 hours later he is trying to get me to sign for a loan to get a new oil burner for $14, 000. He said i am polluting the earth by using my current boiler which is only 10 years old and was determined to be 86 efficient. He said I could get 90% efficient with a new burner. He did not want to sell me insulation on its own so i am now forced to use a local contractor to insulate my home. stay away from brighthome
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Poor Service. I had 3 companies do audits for me and this company is a scam. The so called auditor uses high pressure sales tactics to sell me on a boiler, water heater etc... i just wanted to get the energy assessment. I had a boiler company come and my burner turns out is just fine. Its only 7 years old. This is a company with a lot of tricks up their sleeves...
DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOME FOR THEIR SO CALLED AUDIT/INSPECTION. They will try to sell you just about everything. And you must do it all or nothing. If you cannot afford their $30, 000 proposal, thats ok, they will offer you a loan. All i wanted was $2, 000 worth of insulation but that was not what they were willing to do. I found a handyman that insulated my attic for $1, 700 and did an amazing job. Buyer beware when dealing with BrightHome
