I purchased a Bosch refrigerator among other appliances at Bill Smith in Fort Mayers in 2020. Last November my refrigerator ( I purchased an extended warranty, with a promise that if they could not fix the product they would replace it) started shutting down for a few minutes at time and then turning back on. I contacted Bill Smith and since then they’ve been 5 times in my house trying to fix the issue. They were not able to fix it, refuse to replace the refrigerator and want to keep coming back. It has been 6 months and I still have the same problem with my refrigerator. On top of it the technician from moving the refrigerator so many times ended up damaging the side of the refrigerator. I filled a complaint on 04/27/2022 with Bill Smith and so far I don’t have any resolution for this matter.

Desired outcome: Since they can not fix the problem and there is a damage on the side I want a new refrigerator.

I appreciate your concerns.

Servicing any appliance is not what one would consider pure science. There's a lot of speculation to what the problem may be, replacing a part or parts and, if the problem is not rectified, one moves on to the next potential problematic part.

Each service call will commonly take at least two actual visits to your home — the first to diagnose and the second, once the necessary parts are in hand, to service the unit. There's not an exact number of servicing attempts, any one company will use, before declaring a product unrepairable. However most will do so after a fourth failed attempt. According to your complaint, you're likely only on your second or third attempt.

Be patient with the service center. They're sure to take good care of you.
