BetterPhoto used to be a great place to host my photo website, but now it's not so great. I'm having trouble updating my bio photo and text. The text I enter correctly shows up all run together on my website. It's really frustrating. I'm scared to even try to edit my selection of photos because I don't want to mess anything up. It's also really hard to find contact information on the site. I had to send an email to their support team (which always seems to respond in the middle of the night, so I'm guessing they're in a different time zone) and they said they would send the issue to their tech team. But I'm not holding my breath. It seems like they only care about getting my money and not actually helping me with my website. I would recommend staying away from BetterPhoto.

When I first got my hands on a camera, I stumbled upon a book by the owner, Jim Miotke, that taught me the ropes of beginner photography. That's when I knew I had to join BetterPhoto, and boy, am I glad I did! In the early days, I took as many classes as I could, worked my tail off to improve my skills, and had a blast doing it. Even now, I still get a kick out of it. The members are all super nice, always willing to lend a hand, and the amount of talent on display is out of this world. I feel like I've made lifelong pals who get my passion for taking photos, and they never cease to amaze me with their stunning shots. Jim's always been there for me, too, answering any questions I've had in a jiffy. The site's currently getting a major upgrade, and I know it's gonna be the cat's pajamas. I couldn't be happier with BP!

The course materials provided by BetterPhoto were pretty good, and the instructor's feedback was helpful. However, I'm still waiting for a critique of my assignment that I submitted on March 4th, and I also had a question that hasn't been answered yet. It's been two weeks now, and I'm starting to get a little frustrated.

To make matters worse, I was the only student in the course. That means I didn't get to benefit from the interaction with other students that BetterPhoto promises. I didn't get to see their work, ask them questions, or get feedback from them. I also missed out on seeing the instructor's critiques of their work and responses to their questions. It was a lonely experience, and I didn't feel like I got my money's worth.

I paid $200 for this course, and I don't think it was worth it. I could have bought a good book on photography for a lot less money and gotten just as much out of it. I feel like I was short-changed, and I wish I had been told ahead of time that I would be the only student. Maybe then I could have been offered some other options.

Overall, I think BetterPhoto has some good resources, but this particular course didn't live up to my expectations. I hope they can improve their offerings in the future and provide a better experience for their students.

BetterPhoto is not a good site. I paid for it and got nothing in return. All the classes are for beginners and the guy who runs the site is not even a real photographer. It's a total scam.

There's absolutely nothing to gain from this site. The "contests" are a joke and there are no prizes like other sites. The "winners" are often photos that are out of focus, have bad composition, or look like they were made on a computer instead of being real photos. There are also a lot of cheesy rip-off photos like "an arm and hand stretched out holding a baby" that have been copied a million times. But there are some really excellent photos on the site too, and those photographers didn't take any Betterphoto classes. They were already great photographers before they came to the site. I've talked to a lot of them.

There are so many bird photos on the site that you'd think it was a bird website instead of a photo site. It's really annoying.

The people who run the site are useless and won't answer any questions. They just try to sell you more stuff. It's really frustrating.

When I've emailed BP Support with an issue, they always fix it within 24 hours.

I started out as a beginner, but now I'm an advanced amateur. I learned a lot from BP Classes and other experiences on this website. Even though I don't have much time for photography because of my heavy work schedule, I still enter the monthly contest. It's worth it because you can be your own critic in deciding what to enter. Plus, you can get different levels of badges and professional feedback.

I think BP is worth it for anyone, from beginners to pros. You can use it for websites, feedback, and networking with other photographers.

BetterPhoto ain't all that great, if you ask me. Their customer service is just plain lousy. I tried to get some help with my account and it took forever to get a response. And when I finally did, the person on the other end was no help at all.

And don't even get me started on their classes. They're so limited in what they offer. I mean, sure, they have some basic stuff, but if you're looking for anything more advanced, you're out of luck. And forget about anything outside of photography. They don't offer any classes on videography or anything like that.
