I am extremely upset with the service at the Avalon Woodland Hills location in Woodland Hills CA Property. First off I already tried contacting Human Resources because I believe I was Discriminated against an I heard nothing back from anyone!
Second this office is VERY inconsistent, an they do not care about you! I was excited about leasing until the rep Jonathan was very inconsistent, not communicating with me, not giving me ALL the correct information I needed. I decided to cancel due to POOR service an requested my $650 deposit be refunded immediately as I just made the credit card payment on their online website the same day. I was told by Jonathan the refund would take 3-5 business days which is tomorrow Friday 6/21, now I find out after calling customer care that is not true! Now I'm being told it's 7-10 business days to clear an then another 7-10 business days for a check to be sent out. This is RIDICULOUS an I don't appreciate this! I need my $650 NOW not 30 days from now I have bills an still have to find a NEW apartment since this one was a complete waste of my energy and time!
Someone needs to get back to me I need my refund by tomorrow! I will contact your corporate office an file a complaint as well!

lease termination
I signed a lease with Avalon Bay woodland hills in 2/2012, I lost my job on 3/19/2012 and informed them of my situation. I was able to maintain my lease agreement until 11/2012, but being unemployed for 10 months I had to terminate the agreement. I currently live with my son and am working under temporary contract, I was contacted by Avalon Bay to pay rent for Dec 2012, until the lease end 2/2013 or they re-rent the apartment. They stated that they have not been able to rent the apartment, which is a surprise since I was constantly asked by other residence if I where going to leave. Given my situation and having been unemployed for 11 months I requested that they work with me but their representative keeps informing me of their right to send the account to collections. I do not feel that the Avalon staff has tried to work with me in this unfortunate situation and would like to know if there is a Califonria housing association that I can contact for assistance.
