My wife received a bill for over $1000, and we called to setup a payment plan for 2 years with an initial payment of $200. We were told that the payment plan could only be setup for 1 year because our HSA Visa card expires in 1 year. We informed that my company will issue a new card when it expires and the HSA is given to us a benefit to cover our high deductible insurance plan. They could not help out. This will be the last time that we use ATI's services and will surely write a negative review on this company about their billing system. Very poor customer relations!

I went to ATI Physical Therapy and they kinda brushed me off. They were treating a bunch of people at once and would just leave me hanging, forgetting about me. They expected me to do stuff by myself, which was kinda annoying. And then they wanted me to pay a ton of money, like thousands of dollars.

I had an appointment on 8/29/22. The website says, and it was confirmed many times, through phone and in person, by the receptionist, that the first appointment is a FREE evaluation. But they billed my insurance and then billed me on 9/10/22 for $35.88.

I got a notice saying I owed money even though I already paid it off in 2020. I set up automatic payments on their website and paid $80 every month. At the end of the year, it said my payments were complete. But just last week, in 2022, they sent my account to collections. I'm arguing against the bill. I checked their website, but the automatic payment details are gone. When you call them, they just tell you to go to the website. I have proof of all my payments, but how can I show that their site said I had a zero balance?

I've been going to ATI Physical Therapy at *** and *** for many years. They do a great job and the people there are wonderful. The problem is the billing office at ***. They keep bothering me about bills I've already paid. I pay right away with my credit card every time I go. The *** office has told them multiple times that I don't owe them any money, but they don't listen. Their system in *** is months behind. If they don't stop bothering me, I might have to take this further than the ComplaintsBoard.com. They keep asking me to prove that I paid. Can't they hear or read? How many times does the *** office have to contact them with proof? I don't care what their system says. They need a more accurate system!

I got referred to ATI Physical Therapy by my knee specialist at ***. They said my insurance covered it and I'd pay $7.50 each visit. So, I paid that every week like they told me. But then, I got a bill for $168 for a whole month of service. I called their billing department and they said I actually had to pay 15% coinsurance. They never explained that to me before, and when I complained, they pointed to some authorization I signed. They tricked me into thinking I only had to pay $7.50 per visit instead of telling me what my insurance would cover. Now I can't easily pay the bill, so I have to stop treatment with them. I'm sure there are lots of other patients who get surprised and misled by this company's billing practices.

ATI PT Norterra, I called their billing department about an invoice and asked for an explanation of the charges they said I owed. The first person I spoke to said the charges were because my insurance deductible hadn't been met. But that's not right because I had other procedures that year that definitely exceeded my deductible. I asked the ATI person for copies of the contracts I signed during my 4 visits, copies of the payment requests they sent to my insurance, and a recording of our conversation. She said she couldn't give me any of those things because she didn't have access or permission. She also said it was my responsibility to call my insurance and make sure they paid. Basically, I didn't get any details about the supposed balance I owed or any proof of the charges.

My case ID with ATI is ***. At my first visit on 12-8-22, I was shown electronic info to sign. It said my cost would be $10 per visit. I didn't get a copy of the forms I signed electronically. The employee didn't mention paying my whole deductible. They said I should do 15 appointments, which I thought would cost $150. I signed up for auto payments and didn't expect any other bill. After 13 appointments, I got a bill from ATI. They charged me the full amount after insurance adjustment. It was based on my unmet deductible. The amount was about ten times what I was told. I feel they tricked me into making more appointments by lying about the cost. They cheated me into spending extra money. I don't think I should pay the $1,570.34 bill because they were dishonest.

On 8/2, I went to ATI Physical Therapy for shoulder therapy. I asked *** to make sure my insurance will cover all charges, including copayment, because I haven't been working. She looked at the computer and told me that my insurance will cover all payments and not to worry. So, I started the therapy. They gave me a folder with graphics of what to do and left me by myself 95% of the time. Only at the end, a therapist would stretch my shoulder for about 5 minutes and put ice for 10 minutes. I had to clean with a used rag all the equipment I've used. For the little time I was helped, it was from a non-licensed therapist. They waited about a month to let me know that I had a copayment and sent a *** for it when I clearly asked if they had a copayment, and I was told no. Everyone else, all doctors' appointments I had, they tell me in advance what the copayment would be. I don't know why ATI Therapy lies to their patients, not being upfront and telling them what the copayment would be. I don't think this is an ethical thing to do. I would like for you to help me with this matter if it's possible. thank you.

My daughter (case ID) got Physical Therapy from ***. It was for a college sports injury, and our main insurance was supposed to cover it. The school was responsible for any remaining balance after the main insurance paid. The remaining balance was automatically paid from our *** account linked to our insurance policy. The secondary insurance has now paid the patient portions, and we need a refund for everything that was paid from the *** account because it wasn't our responsibility to pay. I've called ATI Physical Therapy billing office many times and spent hours on the phone, but we haven't reached a solution. They received the payment but applied it incorrectly. The last time I called, they said they would review all the services thoroughly and resolve the issue by 3/10/2022 at the latest. I've tried calling three times since then and waited on hold for hours. It's now 4/15, and we still haven't received a resolution to correctly apply the payments and refund the $1577.10 from our *** account.

I've been having a problem with ATI Physical Therapy's billing that I just can't seem to fix. They keep billing my insurance company under the wrong names, so my insurance won't pay them. It's been over a year since I went to physical therapy, and I recently got a letter from them saying that if I don't pay, they might send my account to a collection agency. When I called the number on the letter, I talked to someone overseas who told me that my bill has been resubmitted to my insurance company and I should wait to see if they get paid. This is different from what the letter says. She also said that someone would call me back about my bill, but that hasn't happened yet. After looking at all the complaints filed with the ComplaintsBoard.com about ATI's billing practices, I wish I had gone somewhere else for physical therapy.

This here's a letter to complain 'bout ATI physical therapy, 'specially the branch over at ***. I went there from June 15 to July 3. 'Fore startin' treatments, they asked for my insurance info to get approval. They told me my insurance, ***, gave the thumbs up to ATI's request. When I finished the first round of treatments, them employees told me they got permission from my insurance for more sessions. Turns out, the insurance said no to coverin' the costs. They didn't bother tellin' me this when I started, or even later when they wanted to extend my treatments. They never mentioned that the insurance company wouldn't pay for this treatment. In fact, they straight up lied to me by sayin' it was covered. I was payin' off the ***, had already forked over more than $1,200 in monthly payments, when outta nowhere, they sent the *** to a debt collection agency without warnin'. I've tried talkin' to 'em 'bout this, but no one will explain why their employees lied to me or what service I got that justified such a high ***. Now, I got no choice but to bring this matter to your attention and hope for a fix.
