This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I contacted Angi to hire handyman to dig out roots from hedges that I had previously cut to about 4 or 5 inches from the ground. I established an account which was required This was accomplished on computer, They came back to me that I wanted a handyman to trim/cut hedges,

I responded with a correction to their mistake and was told that they had estimated my job at $236,83, I again tried to correct the discreprecy to no avail.

On 12 April 24 I received a call from Sam who stated Good morning this is Sam from Angis. I am going to be a little late as my tire just blew, after I fix it I will be there.

I texted back to Sam to disregard as he was sent by Angi to trim hedges and not dig out roots. He acknowledged and thanked me for info.

I then saw my bank account had been charged $236.83 for hedge trimming,

which did not take place, and no service had been rendered.

I have contacted customer service on line and filled out and explained my situation, only to be constantly asked to repeat myself, and going around in circles, I have tried to get through to Angis customer service via landline numerous times only to be told a rep will be with you soon and then

the phone is hung up. I was assigned a file/complaint number [protected].

I have filed the texts from myself and Sam, to verify he did not do any work,

and sent to Angi.

I would like my $236,83 reimbursed into my account, to resolve this situation,

All assistance in this matter will be appreciated,

Peter Coxon

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of fee charged

Hey Peter, since Angi hasn't resolved the issue and your money was charged incorrectly, it's a good idea to escalate the matter. Contact your bank or credit card company to dispute the charge since no service was provided. Explain the situation and provide them with any evidence you have, including texts and communication with Angi. Keep following up with Angi and document all your interactions.
