Amerisave Mortgage review: Refinance

I applied for a mortgage refinance 3/12/21. They gave locked me in at 2.625% They gave me a closing date or 4/26. After the paperwork was completed they said that it could take 45 days until they close.

They have an online portal of your to-do list which include the appraisal, homeowners insurance, disclosures, Loan estimate, copy of 2 month banking statements, 12 months of our Mortgage statements (which I first questioned) To refinance you only need 2months. One other crazy thing was that my husband owed $232 in delinquent taxes. Our taxes come right out of our mortgage. They told me that they couldn't even see that we owned property.

Originally, I looked to see which was the best company. Amerisave was. It was a gut feeling of mine just to double-check for reviews. All negative and similar to mine. I called my bank Investors Bank and they advised me to call the mortgage company, homeowners they are both going to keep my loan as is.

They could have done mortgage fraud and owned my house without us even knowing.
Lesson learned... Read reviews and Always trust your gut.
