American Spirit Arms customer service or the lack of... completely lied again.

I buy about a hundred ar-15's and fifty ar10's a year and carry a number of different brands. Never again will I buy or sell their product... Unless they call with a change of heart. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not usually one to write negative reviews but this time it's a must just to share how american spirit firearms is penny wise and pound foolish. Prior to the company being sold in the last couple years I purchased 12 ar15's as a dealer at the wholesale price. Shortly after I made this purchase they started selling the same rifles for $300.00 less than what I paid to the public! I talked with brandi who is the one that I placed the order with, and was told that they have a new price structure and they were no longer going to be selling that model so there was nothing they could do. Okay, I took that one in the shorts as now I was losing $300.00 on every rifle of theirs I sold as I had to match their website price to be able to sell them.
Well time goes by and I see that the company was sold and now have new ownership, leadership and staff. I contacted kathy schroeder and told her how much I love their rifles but was burned by them in the past. I asked her "if I buy and you guys do something like that again, what would you do if anything?" kathy responded saying; something like that we would make it right. Well I said great and I ordered more of the asa cs1-b-2017 (2016 version) at a sale price and then charged $30.00 per rifle to ship! Well within a few short weeks they lowered the price again but this time it was to the general public, $100.00 per gun less than I just paid. I called kathy and talked with her and she said "fine, i'll send you a check!" she was clearly pissed off that I called her on her giving me her word that she would take care of it. I said kathy i'm glad to hear that, you have restored my faith in the company. Well no surprise 3 weeks go by and no check. I called and no one answered so I sent kathy an email asking about more rifles and the check. Neither kathy nor the owners had the professionalism or courtesy to call me about the issue. Instead kathy simply emailed me the following:
Good morning tim,

I'm sorry I should not have told you I would pay the difference. I spoke with the owners regarding paying you the difference and they did not approve. The asa patrol's on sale are last year's models they are clearing out. At the time you purchased they were current models.

We have sold out of the asa patrols and do not have any more stock in which to build any. This sale was offered to reduce all remaining samson inventory.

My apologies for my incorrect statement.

Needless to say I was a little more than pissed off. I responded to her:
"well i'm extremely disappointed that you guys got me again. I'm not sure how your owners can see this as"fair"to any dealer that pays a price higher than any joe on the street can buy them for.
I can't believe that the ownership does not care about the dealers, given this bit of bad news once again. The explanation is simply poor business and i'm not buying the"old models"excuse. It was a very short period of time from my purchase to your selling them to the public $100 below what you got me for. They expect me to lose money but they are not willing to do the right thing to keep me as a customer? A simple $200 solution and they would rather lose a dealer. I guess we are just expected to lose money on your firearms? How can a dealer compete when we pay more than the public? I know i've only sold a couple dozen of your firearms but rest assured I won't be buying anymore."
That was on 2/16/18 and I have not gotten any type of response from her or the owners. My best advice is stay away from them as they do not understand honesty or simple good business practice. If they are this unreasonable now I can only imagine how difficult they would be if I needed any warranty work done.
Customer service simply does not exist at american spirit arms. It's too bad considering that a little "good will" customer service would have kept me loving the side charger ar-15's they build and continued selling and promoting their product. I bought one for myself and now I will be selling it and choosing a brand that understands good customer service.

I worked for this company for a short period of time. Management as well as the owner constantly talked about drugs and partying. I was never asked for identification or proof of citizenship when hired. There is no Quality Control person and machinist who manufacture the parts tend to pencil in numbers on inspection logs so it appears the parts meet...
